My son and I were checking out some of the 2017 set pictures. He was mad when he saw the Quadjumper set. I asked why. "Dad, one of those figures is exclusive to a Lego book I bought!" I asked why is that bad. "Because now if they have another one, the value will go down!" He's 8. Never been so proud.11 points

Just got back from B&N. Went to pick up some Mazes and to stack the 25% with the 10% member discount. I politely asked the clerk if they had any more in back. While she was looking I found a single White House that I grabbed as well. She came out with four more Mazes. I paid and left the store. When I got in my car I glanced at my receipt and noticed that the White House also rang up as on sale. I wasn't expecting it to since Architecture is usually excluded. I didn't even ask when I checked out. I went back in and grabbed the two US Capitol Buildings that were on the shelf. Those rang up on sale as well. Again, I didn't ask. They automatically rang up that way. Most likely a YMMV, but you may want to try.10 points

On vacation in FL, the one B&N I hit must have been in the middle of retired people. Livi's houses, Mazes, Dolphin Cruiser, Emma's Houses, all sorts of other retired Friends, Ariel's castles Found a Scooby Lighthouse and Plane on the shelf. Checking out asked if they had anymore... they found 2 Mansions in back. They also brought out a bunch of Ecto 1 which I passed on... they were like whaaa? Got one deep sea helicopter - realize it's still in stock some places, we'll see how it does. Didnt see any architecture at all. No old Star Wars. No Elves - was hoping to find some Dragon Sanctuary... Had my six kids with me... clerks said "You guys must really like Lego." Yep...8 points

Battle On Scarif -it's a small set but a good representation of the scene. Worth the cost of it at TRU with 20% off, 20% GCs and TRUTH. I already added a sand baseplate to it to give it more space may add more if I have time to make a bigger scene with all the characters and troopers from battle packs. I got an extra 2 Shore Troopers too from a second set I bought to part out. I'm trying to decide if the parts from a second set are worth adding around to build up the size or not. I'm no master builder so I'm waiting to see if other people try to double up the size.5 points

Went to TRU and used the 20% off coupon for some clearance deals on 75096 (Sith Infiltrators)...but the best deal was using the same coupon for the NERF Star Wars First Order Blaster, (along with it being part of the buy one and get one 1/2 off deal they have going on). We are having a NERF birthday party for one of our boys. We were able to pick up a bunch for roughly $14 a piece (after coupons and magic) and will get rewards too. Should be a blast! (No pun intended).4 points

I know it's a hassle but you need to pre-calculate your purchases when applying multiple discounts before heading to the register. More often than not, the cashier will screw up the series of button presses up and miss one of the discounts... the most common one being TRUTH which they can't seem to get right. Before you pay, you can press "VIEW ITEMS" on the CC reader and double check that the prices are on the up and up before following through. Try to go when there isn't a huge line behind you or take the purchase up to the customer service desk. They usually place the more experienced employees there.4 points

Talk to them. Try and learn some more information to make a judgement call. We were all 0 feedback users once. Maybe the guy just wants the set, browsed Amazon, browsed eBay, then checked BrickLink and saw you had it at a price he liked, and decided to make an account to buy it. You could quite easily find this information out and make a judgement call on whether he's pulling your leg or not. I sell to 0 feedback buyers all the time. My logic is, if they're just starting out buying their Lego collection, and you nail down a flawless transaction on their first buy, the chances they'll be coming back to you to buy more in the future are pretty solid.3 points

I'm not going to predict the investment worthiness of this set but as a collector and builder this set is top notch.3 points

Yeah there is a new workaround that DOES NOT require an override but you have to tell the cashier the button sequence. It will be part of my webinar Sunday remember all contributing BPers get 20% off use code BP20 (Mods excluded)2 points

If you have a regular pickup, you could print out a Scan Form. It's one bar code that, when scanned, marks all shipments associated with it as received. When you do 'bulk shipping' on eBay, you have the option to print one out. More info on this form here: https://about.usps.com/postal-bulletin/2006/html/pb22192/pb6ktxt.html2 points

Town Hall retired out of order. So what you want to do to always be prepared is buy 4 or 5 of every exclusive, every month. That way by the time they retire you'll have your target of 50-60 of each safely tucked away.2 points

Update: The seller sent me $15, and then sent me a msg, saying that they choose to have the set shipped back to them. A couple days later (after they received the set), they sent another msg saying that the package was received well, and saying that they were sorry for all the problems and insinuation. So while the seller should never have attacked (assuming, and expressing their assumption), and the temptation to attack back can be strong - it usually works out best by de-escalating things.2 points

Very impressive and amazing looking model. The BMW M4 DTM 1:10 racecar designed by brunojj1. I had collected and organized the pieces to build this model quite awhile ago but I wasn't sure about how to power it and control it. It uses 4XL motors, a servo motor and three sets of lights. The original design requires two V2 IR receivers and one regular receiver and three AAA or Lipo battery boxes. I was waiting because I was debating building this with the Buwizz which I ordered but it was delayed for a couple months. In the end, after getting a few more V2 receivers, I decided to build as per original design instead of waiting for Buwizz or using Sbricks. It is just too fast to try and control with a phone / tablet. Superb looking model. Sorry for poor pics with my phone.2 points
