Built our POTC Black Pearl (#4184) (supposed to represent the Mayflower) and used it in our Thanksgiving display. We also used the Creator Log Cabin (#5766) as well. I purchased some tan Imperial Flagship sails a few months ago on Brick Classifieds, and I still need to change out the sails (have to find it amongst all the other Lego we have). Not a fan of the black sails in this display. However, the overall display didn’t turn out too bad. Also, I want to take this opportunity to say Thank You to all those in the BrickPicker community that have contributed and have been helpful each and every day. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I made of my favourite star wars poster, the Episode 1 teaser poster entitled 'Every Saga Has A Beginning' I loved the poster, thought it was so evocative and I wanted to try and recreate it in lego as a 3d Model. The shadow was a bit tricky at first but I am pretty happy with how it turned out - if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve it I would love to know! You always need to make that judgement on your own. When you have a chance to buy something at 45% off and greater, its not too bad of an idea to pick something up, there are some real nice sets in there. Unless you find them at clearance at your local store, its hard to beat that % off. Again though, make sure it lines up with your financial situation, space, and what your plans are for investing.

Hi, I'm new to this website. I just wanted to share with you my latest MOC. I am pleased to announce my most challenging and rewarding build, the American supercar, the Hennessey Venom GT. The curves on this beast were incredibly hard to replicate, and now I know why not many others have tried it before in Technic Lego... These Porsche wheels spread the weight of the car over the width of the tire and support this car SO much better than the old tires. Got a Ninjago 70755 at Kmart today. Used a 15% off coupon and $9.80 in points to get it down to what I thought was around $7, but my total at the register was around $3.25!!! Looking back on the receipt I somehow had triggered some sort of coupon, which took $4.00 off my total. Titled " SYWCP SPORT GDS CPN" Not sure why that happened, but I'll take it!

Well, all these KMart SYWR deals over the past week got me lots of LEGO. I was out to lunch and my truck battery is dying. At least I had enough points banked to pay for a battery, now I'm off to Sears.

Not so much a request for advice, but more of a giving advice: I got dinged on my TRS scoreboard a few times the last 2 months, so I thought I'd shared my shipping lessons. Background - I have 1 day handling time set up on my account to comply with Top Rated Seller criteria, and noticed the following: - Even though EBay allows you to print shipping labels up to 3 working days in advance - don't do this! You have 24hrs to ship between creating a label and USPS/FedEx/UPS acknowledging the receipt of the package at their facility, otherwise you get dinged. I had a request for delayed shipping, complied, but printed my shipping label on Friday for a Monday morning drop-off. CS said they could not remove the ding from my record as it was automated and based on what the shipping provider reported. - Make sure someone at the Post Office scans your package. I had a minifigure shipment which I put in a normal mailbox, and it didn't get scanned on the day I dropped it off (I typically leave packages on the counter and they get scanned that way, but the PO was not yet open when I arrived and I just popped it in the mailslot). Now I'm seeing an extra ding on my TRS status which is bringing my metrics down. I hope that with the Christmas rush I can correct these dings and bring my score back up above 90%, but have learned my lessons on these two items.

Yesterday was my daughter's 6th birthday. We built the Friends Amusement Park roller coaster set. I think it might be the best Friends set ever. Really a great deal for the price, with a ton of cool pieces. Lots of playability. The Ferris Wheel is well done and was easy to build (her brother helped her quite a bit). Great set based on the recent sale prices for sure!

Yeah, it's on my 'brick watch' too, but won't buy for more than €150.

15x15x4 is good for the large square sets, if a little big for the smaller squares (Raptor Escape). Right now I'm using 24x16x4 for the large squares, but will order the 15x15 when a Staples deal rolls around again... If you deal in small sets, I think 8x6x4 is absolutely essential!

I've always adopted the stance of getting sets that I would enjoy building. The investment and selling side is always a bonus.
