I wish LEGO would go after counterfeiters as hard as they go after FAN sites who post early pictures and only want to promote their products27 points

I can't wait for the designer video so he can tell us how much better this is compared to the original.15 points

No, he's probably at the Lego store exchanging them for Disney Castles.10 points

Previously we had talked about a Lego equivalent of "Jumped the Shark" and "Nuke the Fridge" I believe "Wedged the Cheese" will be the new catch phrase.9 points

So this one still doesn't come with a helicopter? I'm not interested...7 points

If the LEGO won't retire the sets, the investor will retire the LEGO investing.7 points

In all honesty, this is so wrong on so many levels. This set was retiring soon, and then labeled as retired by LEGO - All the while they knew that it was actively being refreshed, to be re-released within a year.6 points

My heart died a little today. As a illogical fan first and reseller second, I wanted 75159 to make my 10188s (I only have 2) worthless because it is so amazing. Instead, it made my 10188s worth less because it is 10188.6 points

Picked these up this morning for $245. GBHQ is open box sealed bags, toy shop is sealed. Seller said her daughter, who works for Lego, gave them to her but they don't have room for them.6 points

They are creating their own allegories right now. 10 years from now we will be saying they are "Releasing the Toy Shop" or "Doing a 10188."6 points

So much panic, so many overreactions, 10188 is a fantastic set and even though you can get it again for $100 more for another 8-10 years it all comes down to patience. So many of you are going to dump your 10188's to get the new and exciting one that you'll miss out on the dividends that 10188 brings and have major regrets. Sure the new one looks the same, sure it has about the same amount of pieces, sure it has an added random mysterious cheese slope for $100 but true completionists and collectors will always have a place in there hearts for 10188. I've got 72 of these and don't plan on dumping anything. Heck the new one should do great too and at least I have lots of time to buy it. Then I can battle out which one is better when Ep 12 comes out. Cause if 10188 is great , this new one has to be greater... Just don't get rid of your 10188's or you'll regret it again and again. -Raven5 points

In all seriousness my heart goes out to those of you who stocked up on 10188. It was a sound move. It should have worked. The 10188 should have been a great investment for several years. I bought three 10188s, for average buy in of $373. I sold one for $580 and still have the other two. I feel like someone just dropped a tortoise on my balls. I can't imagine how those of us who are sitting on 10 or 20 of these feel. Or God forbid, emazers quantities... Speaking of emazers, has anyone heard from him? Maybe we ought to conduct a knock-and-talk? Just to make sure he doesn't need to be on suicide watch or anything?5 points

So very, very, very disappointed. Not for my investment, but for a fan of great sets, and especially great Star Wars sets. Very sad day.5 points

We know there's lots of hype over Cinderella's Castle this week, but this one is starting to show up in LEGOLand stores too.5 points

Well, up until the other day, cheese wedges were cheap. Now that we see the value that LEGO puts on them, the price is going through the roof! Or how about someone trying to return an old one for a new one?4 points

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the customer's asking for a DS. "Would you like the old one or the new one?" What's the difference? "Uh..."4 points

This is like the uncanny valley... it is so similar to 10188 but not 10188. I get a creepy feeling by looking at it, like seeing a ghost returning from its grave.4 points
