  1. I wish LEGO would go after counterfeiters as hard as they go after FAN sites who post early pictures and only want to promote their products
  2. Complete. Tried to make tinkerbell fly with the webs from the spiderman bridge set but was a fail at 2am Reverse
  3. I can't wait for the designer video so he can tell us how much better this is compared to the original.
  4. No, he's probably at the Lego store exchanging them for Disney Castles.
  5. Previously we had talked about a Lego equivalent of "Jumped the Shark" and "Nuke the Fridge" I believe "Wedged the Cheese" will be the new catch phrase.
  6. I'm not buying either .... The set that is
  7. I made this in October 2015.. you need roughly 72 of them so it looks like @ravenb99 can build himself one.
  8. she didn't either... that right there could be a DS reveal watch party
  9. I don't know whether to clap or cry.
  10. Welcome to the bargaining phase of the 5 phases of grief!
  11. A 10188 box is an excellent starting point!
  12. Bye Lego investing, thanks for the memories . . . .
  13. Do we have to moderate you too?
  14. So this one still doesn't come with a helicopter? I'm not interested...
  15. If the LEGO won't retire the sets, the investor will retire the LEGO investing.
  16. Not when you see them, you won´t.
  17. I'll just build a table while waiting for the new Death Star.
  18. In all honesty, this is so wrong on so many levels. This set was retiring soon, and then labeled as retired by LEGO - All the while they knew that it was actively being refreshed, to be re-released within a year.
  19. My heart died a little today. As a illogical fan first and reseller second, I wanted 75159 to make my 10188s (I only have 2) worthless because it is so amazing. Instead, it made my 10188s worth less because it is 10188.
  20. Denial ain't just a river in Egypt
  21. Nope, never mind, I like this place and I don't wanna get banned.
  22. Saw the pic. This is a bigger disappointment than AoH. At least that attempted to be a new set. Lego has gone full dark side on us.
  23. Picked these up this morning for $245. GBHQ is open box sealed bags, toy shop is sealed. Seller said her daughter, who works for Lego, gave them to her but they don't have room for them.
  24. another "i fixed it for you" post
  25. They are creating their own allegories right now. 10 years from now we will be saying they are "Releasing the Toy Shop" or "Doing a 10188."
  26. I may not have that long to live though.
  27. So much panic, so many overreactions, 10188 is a fantastic set and even though you can get it again for $100 more for another 8-10 years it all comes down to patience. So many of you are going to dump your 10188's to get the new and exciting one that you'll miss out on the dividends that 10188 brings and have major regrets. Sure the new one looks the same, sure it has about the same amount of pieces, sure it has an added random mysterious cheese slope for $100 but true completionists and collectors will always have a place in there hearts for 10188. I've got 72 of these and don't plan on dumping anything. Heck the new one should do great too and at least I have lots of time to buy it. Then I can battle out which one is better when Ep 12 comes out. Cause if 10188 is great , this new one has to be greater... Just don't get rid of your 10188's or you'll regret it again and again. -Raven
  28. In all seriousness my heart goes out to those of you who stocked up on 10188. It was a sound move. It should have worked. The 10188 should have been a great investment for several years. I bought three 10188s, for average buy in of $373. I sold one for $580 and still have the other two. I feel like someone just dropped a tortoise on my balls. I can't imagine how those of us who are sitting on 10 or 20 of these feel. Or God forbid, emazers quantities... Speaking of emazers, has anyone heard from him? Maybe we ought to conduct a knock-and-talk? Just to make sure he doesn't need to be on suicide watch or anything?
  29. So very, very, very disappointed. Not for my investment, but for a fan of great sets, and especially great Star Wars sets. Very sad day.
  30. I think the best part is the random cheese slope.
  31. We know there's lots of hype over Cinderella's Castle this week, but this one is starting to show up in LEGOLand stores too.
  32. " let's make the Death Star great again"
  33. Well, up until the other day, cheese wedges were cheap. Now that we see the value that LEGO puts on them, the price is going through the roof! Or how about someone trying to return an old one for a new one?
  34. This is like the uncanny valley... it is so similar to 10188 but not 10188. I get a creepy feeling by looking at it, like seeing a ghost returning from its grave.
  35. Because words don't lead to Cease & Desist letters from LEGO Lawyers, but pictures do.
  36. A few notable eBay sales: 30448 - Spiderman vs. venom polybag for $18 shipped. (I remember selling these at $50/5 before they were released) Jor-El for $12 shipped (thanks Lego!) Set of Series 4 Mixels - $75 shipped. My last 9450 Lousy Dragon Battle for $110 shipped (a profit of 6% per year held, my most regrettable early decision) 2015 Bricktober set that I got from TRU Canada for $75 with GSP. Now I can build my $44 Ferrari 6857 Funhouse and 76000 Arctic Batman for $85 shipped along with another sale to save on shipping for me. Cash sales: 10241 Maersk Triple E for $210 and $220 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer for $210 3315 Olivia's House for $80 All prices are in US dollars.
  37. It was a great build especially for a large set. So much different stuff going on. Most big sets seem to get repetitive but this one has so much different stuff going on. Definitely one of my favorites.
  38. I've kind of been thinking "poop in the trench" this whole time, or is it "exercise the exhaust port"? 75159 might be the "turd in the trench"?
  39. Used their teeth to separate the bricks?
