  14. Guaranteed to see Willis, and likely to see Hancock. Disagree on "iconic-ness" of Sears/Willis - for 25 years it was the tallest building in the world. For arch/engineer nerds, it was also the first building to utilize "bundled tube" structural design that is the basis for all modern skyscraper design - Burj Khalifa, Jeddah Tower, etc. Betting we'll see Willis, Hancock, Marina Towers and a smaller building like the Beaux-Artes style Field Museum or Art Institute. An outside the box choice would be a Ferris Wheel (the first and most iconic was at 1893 Worlds Fair in Chicago). If they had a sense of humor, they would include the "bean" (aka Cloud Gate) as a single silver stud.

  22. the more I watch, the less I start to like how the brits have taken over the entire thing. Back in the old times, during a much simpler time, the brits were the imperials and annoying droids, and the americans were the rebels. Sure, there was Obi-wan. But, NOW it's like an all british cast. I'm starting to wonder if this is a foreign film, or one made out of hollywood. That's it. I'm voting for Trump. He's been right all along.

  23. Right. Because I haven't spent enough money the past two weeks. And the D**n Disney castle is coming out Wednesday too. I ran into Walmart on my way home and left 50% off Star Wars and Mixels on the shelf. stick a fork in me, I'm done.

  24. So I didn't get around to a pic yet button I did get the Statue of Liberty for 700. It is the first edition one black and white box, and they started to build it- got about 1/4 the way through. The rest of the bricks are either in ziplock bags or the original plastic mesh bags. Instructions are in nice shape but wow are they hard to follow. Still working on other builds, so this one may need to wait until the fall. The good news is that it is heavy- which leads me to believe it is complete. Coupled with the fact that evrwything is is in such good condition, I like my chances.

  32. To be honest, the galaxy is quite large, that seeing new vehicles, characters or ships should be a given. The u-wing seems like it's just a dropship that carries ground troops. In a New Hope, there weren't any scenes that required that.

  34. I like that they're coming out with another Monster Truck. It will go nicely with the red and green versions from the recent sets. I also appreciate having a Duel of the Fates set, although at $29.99 it will be woefully undersized and insignificant. How many bakeries does Stephanie need? All that food and no heavy people in Heartlake City, what a crock.

  39. So, this is the first leak to come out about 2017, courtesy CM4sci. My immediate thoughts are that it´s time to sell those remaining Guggenheims. It also points to big SOH being retired if there is a Sydney cityscape. The Technic BMW motorbike also sounds interesting and there is confirmation of a new City Police station as per the 3 year rule. 40. I've got about $500 worth of VIP points to burn, but I can't decide what to buy. I might get the Deep Sea Operations set for my son. Being a TRU exclusive, $80 + London Bus is about the best I can expect any ways (I'm out of discounted GCs and I'm not a TRU CC holder). It's the last set of the series we need, and it's big enough to make a nice birthday or Christmas gift.

  43. Only 4 microfighters instead of 6? Are they running out of ideas? I'd expect there to be two from SW rebels, two from rogue one and two from some other movie. I'm also thinking 75172 will be a Y-Wing. With the ship appearing in both Rogue One and Rebels it just has to be a Y-Wing.

  44. Other than the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, I can't think of the Sydney skyline being that memorable and Chicago while pretty doesn't stand out either. Are there not enough memorable buildings in the world that they have to keep remaking sets. A Captain America jet, that's original Wonder what size the Phantom will be, didn't take long for a remake there, at least there isn't a Ghost to go with it. No At-At's or Star Destroyers though, which is good. From what we've seen so far the Lego Batman movie could have some cool sets.

  45. I think this is like the Wall-E set... gives you the opportunity to mod this and make this your own custom set. Wall-E motorized was done in so many different ways and even mine was different than all the other mods I've seen. This set will be the same way. For $100, it gives you the flexibility to do that. Enjoy modifying this set with your kids, your wife, or yourself. I am just happy the steam stack is upright with smoke coming out of it. I have been waiting for a train like this. I can't wait to turn on the holiday music, wrap our presents, put together our Lego Holiday set, and open the first day of the Lego Advent calendar with my wife. It's like a holiday unto itself.
