Yep...LEGO missed out on an opportunity here. They could have created a holiday train with a large round track and power functions to fit under any XMAS tree. They could have priced it at $200 and sold a ton.7 points

Man, I hit you guys up with a classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off quote and I don't think anyone got me. And this year is the 30th anniversary of the 1986 John Hughes Classic. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.6 points

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who talked to the LEGO rep last night. Disney minifigures aren't coming back. I guess it's pretty serious.6 points

I still cannot believe this thing comes with 2 fewer minifigs, 1 fewer horse, and 4 fewer tracks than 79111, which was a licensed set. There must be very high inflation since 2013. How else could you account for the price for those 35 extra bricks?6 points

Lego seeme to be getting greedy with many recent offerings. "Charge more for less" could be their slogan at times.5 points

Just got my 150 Disney minifigs (50 bags of three) that I got on Amazon. Wasn't sure if they were going to come through, but they did. Was planning on skipping these, but at $2.20 per figure I couldn't pass them up!4 points

I agree, but this set is priced high. Trains seem to price higher on average. That being said, this set does not look like a $100 set.4 points

I hope Lego Don't Let Me Down with the final product. It's amazing how Lego and the Beatles can Come Together so well. I mean who knows this could be one of the best sets I'll buy In My Life.4 points

Prob not while the refresh is still available at retail. Plus I think this train is officially part of the holiday theme while 10173 wasn't.3 points

Now might be a good time to check Walmart.ca. 10234 $300 42030 $240 42025 $125 10220 $100 10242 $95 42024 $803 points

So, just finished. Missing a few bits, roof mostly, but nothing terrible. A bit disappointed if I’m honest. Finished product looks good but the build is meh. The later modulars are just so much more fun to build, more interesting techniques, fun interiors etc.. PR still may favourite. If this were released today I doubt it’d have anyway near the attraction. In fact I don’t think it could be release today as it is.3 points

Check your inbox, just received a Geoffrey's Kid's Club 20% off regular priced item coupon. Appears to be a unique code. Well, the kiddo received one.2 points

Definitely agree with the PF around the tree feature will be cool. Lego should of made a separate package for the cashier to up sell it when customer take the train set at check out. That way you can cater to those that just wants to stick to the static display or those that can dish out more dough for the pf.2 points

While we wait for permission for posting /allowing pics of 10254, it's def more like the toy story than the emerald night. For comparing it to 10173 (holiday train), 10254 has a much more detailed locomotive. Other than that, 10173 owners shouldn't feel the need to upgrade. Even at $99, I expected more than 3 small cars including the coal one. Lego should have just made it $109 or $119 if it allowed another car or made the existing cars longer.2 points

SOH $300, Volvo Loader $240, Mini Cooper $95, Snow Plow $20, VW Camper $100 Just a few that caught my eye, couple other things on clearance as well.2 points

I saw it. It looks like 10144 from the outside, but fully finished and the hull is made from chrome plates. The UCS sticker says 'Disco is coming back!'2 points

Finished up the Pet Shop. Fun build. Nothing really special to warrant it being alive still. Time to put this old dog to rest. But I enjoyed the build. Here is a pic of the build and one with my GE. It's actually looking like some building is happening. But I'm going to sell off the PS. Just wanted to give it a build. On to TH next!2 points
