  1. Finally built the UCS Tie. Gotta say I love it, looks awesome and I actually really enjoyed the build too. One of my favs.
  2. Local CL buy $1400 50+ sets with boxes many more without. Big Sets were built when I picked up so they looked complete Highlights Imperial Flagship Black Pearl Queen Annes The burrow Hogwarts Express Hogwarts Castle Hagrids Hut
  3. Yep...LEGO missed out on an opportunity here. They could have created a holiday train with a large round track and power functions to fit under any XMAS tree. They could have priced it at $200 and sold a ton.
  4. Man, I hit you guys up with a classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off quote and I don't think anyone got me. And this year is the 30th anniversary of the 1986 John Hughes Classic. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.
  5. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who talked to the LEGO rep last night. Disney minifigures aren't coming back. I guess it's pretty serious.
  6. I cannot read past your first sentence when you open with this......
  7. I still cannot believe this thing comes with 2 fewer minifigs, 1 fewer horse, and 4 fewer tracks than 79111, which was a licensed set. There must be very high inflation since 2013. How else could you account for the price for those 35 extra bricks?
  8. Not a minifigures photo but a figures photo, from SW family photo album, say cheese...
  9. Wait... I'm confused. So doesn't that make you your own grandpa!!
  10. Exciter will be in for 4 then.
  11. Which one ? There are potentially 4 shes
  12. Lego seeme to be getting greedy with many recent offerings. "Charge more for less" could be their slogan at times.
  13. Stickers according to Deadfraggle's wife who built it last night.
  14. The gift that keeps on giving.

Just got my 150 Disney minifigs (50 bags of three) that I got on Amazon. Wasn't sure if they were going to come through, but they did. Was planning on skipping these, but at $2.20 per figure I couldn't pass them up!
  16. I agree, but this set is priced high. Trains seem to price higher on average. That being said, this set does not look like a $100 set.
  17. I hope Lego Don't Let Me Down with the final product. It's amazing how Lego and the Beatles can Come Together so well. I mean who knows this could be one of the best sets I'll buy In My Life.
  18. Damn, can't believe Lepin got to it first
  19. Exclusive first look...
  20. I'm not sure what happened here?
  21. My father's brothers nephew's cousin's former roommate told me the Disney figs are retired!! ;o)
  22. EBay another 6860 Batcave $99 shipped
  23. Prob not while the refresh is still available at retail. Plus I think this train is officially part of the holiday theme while 10173 wasn't.
  24. Modular Lego Hospital / Outpatient Facility by Jason Skaare
  25. It's 99.99 us as I stated a few weeks ago. Both merlin and lego price list match. On merlins no discount list for 99 and Legos points list for 99
  26. Lego tag line: Have an idea for a Lego set? Share it on Lego Ideas. Cause we're plum out of em.
  27. Now might be a good time to check Walmart.ca. 10234 $300 42030 $240 42025 $125 10220 $100 10242 $95 42024 $80
  28. So, just finished. Missing a few bits, roof mostly, but nothing terrible. A bit disappointed if I’m honest. Finished product looks good but the build is meh. The later modulars are just so much more fun to build, more interesting techniques, fun interiors etc.. PR still may favourite. If this were released today I doubt it’d have anyway near the attraction. In fact I don’t think it could be release today as it is.

Not quite sure where to put these but my big guy turned 6 a couple weeks ago. This is what he would look like as a lego minifig. Artwork done by a friend of my mother's who used to do stuff like this for parties and what not...she's since retired but doesn't mind doing it for her friends.
  30. man, you guys are all so funny!
  31. Definitely agree with the PF around the tree feature will be cool. Lego should of made a separate package for the cashier to up sell it when customer take the train set at check out. That way you can cater to those that just wants to stick to the static display or those that can dish out more dough for the pf.
  32. The question becomes would any new but hardcore LEGO winter sets fans pay 4x-5x for better but older train? Presumably the new but hardcore Batman & SW fans would pay extra for older but better builds
  33. That's exactly what I did but I couldn't see when production/sale ended. Found it now, thx.
  34. For a couple of months in 2007. It was a very limited set. Maybe Not quite as limited as The Zombies but still pretty short and only available at their website.
  35. According to the official announcement Adventure Time will cost $49.99, has the set number 21308 and is to be released on January 1. There are three more projects that already passed the review. Both the Caterham Super Seven and the Apollo 11 Saturn V projects do not look like $60 sets. That would only leave the Beatles Yellow Submarine which I can envision being sold at the $60 price point.

  38. Yes the interior is bland, but the exterior is hard to beat
  39. While we wait for permission for posting /allowing pics of 10254, it's def more like the toy story than the emerald night. For comparing it to 10173 (holiday train), 10254 has a much more detailed locomotive. Other than that, 10173 owners shouldn't feel the need to upgrade. Even at $99, I expected more than 3 small cars including the coal one. Lego should have just made it $109 or $119 if it allowed another car or made the existing cars longer.
  40. Buzz Lightyear deserves a castle.
