My daughter (almost five) built her first set by herself a couple weeks ago and is now insatiable. She built the sea scooter and pteranodon today and my son did his first whooshing oh and my daughter MOC'ed up the octopus a bit...7 points

i watched one of my local walmarts on app and waited for prices to drop 50%. This morning I woke up checked again, prices slashed, so I raced there. 2 x Kylo Ren's shuttle @ $59 each 1 x tie fighter for $35 1x super heroes set and 1x Jurassic world at $9 each. Plus few sets for a local fellow brickpicker (couple ties, one JW and few micro fighters FO snow-speeders at $5 each )6 points

Past and present, interesting to see the wheels line up exactly. I don't collect Legos but I couldn't resist buying this after Wall-e brought me back. I'd love to rebuild the Super Car set from the F1 Racer Alternative design, but I no longer have all the missing pieces. :(. I do have the assembly book and the racer as shown tho. Very cool non the less. My observations; I wish there were two springs in the front on each side. The front doesn't have the same springyness to it and ends up being lower due to weight(?). I also wish you could see more of the engine. Also, does the shell remove like it did during assembly with the red pins after its all completed? I tried but it didn't seem meant to be.4 points

Unknown. Rumors were due to the Lego promotional slideshow at the Nuremberg Toy Fair last year, however there has been nothing else since, and no signs of him in any other rumors. So, I suspect if he is, it won't be known until after the reviews start trickling in. ----- Not sure how legit this is.....buit this is supposedly the Thrawn minifigure.3 points

You can also find the images of the 5 sets and minifigures if you google "lego rogue one" and click on images. They have not officially been released, so no posting them here until then.3 points

Yep, finished the new Falcon a few months back, my bro came to my house to meet me before leaving for a day out, I took it off the shelf to show him and it was like it magically pulled off a move from TFA on its own and just fell to the floor!! This thing is pretty fragile at the best of times, so when it hit the deck it was game over!! Ruined my day knowing it was on my office floor in bits!!!!2 points

Just found this on a euro bricks thread might be a hybrid of both DS best of both worlds? Open fire on the Rebels with the UCS Death Star! This massive model has loads of great features, such as a spring loaded turbo laser, rotating turrets, a trash compactor, and meeting room! Close up the flaps for display, or open them to play2 points

I just finished building this set and have to say it was a roller coaster of emotions. It began with a lot of the smaller booths, minifigures, and a small flatbed truck. All of which had very intriguing build mechanics but felt insignificant. I then built the large mixer truck which was a cool build, but nothing flashy. When i began building the trailer is when i started really getting intrigued. I couldn't figure out how it was incorporated with the mixer which was still to come. The fence build before the mixer put me off again as it seemed like another fiddly section.. However,.the mixer itself was FANTASTIC. It has so much flavor but yet so much simplicity. I ended up finishing the build and staring at all these random components and felt rather bleh about the whole thing...nothing really grand to look at. The mixer functions great and made me smile, but i was left with a bunch of mini components strewn about (not a big scene/play fan). Then I realized that I had more pages in the book, which showed how to pack everything on the trucks. At that moment I began to see the genius of everything i had built. (Yeah I was pretty clueless about what i was building). That being said from a creativity standpoint this set is by far the best i've seen. However, as someone who really doesn't intend on making a fair scene i would have preferred only having the mixer, truck and trailer and paying 70-80 dollars for it. I don't know how well the other miscellaneous fair booths would fair in its own set. My girlfriend built the ferris wheel while i built this and we both agreed that the fair ground mixer is a much better build but both of us would rather have and display the ferris wheel.2 points

It's all good. I'm actually surprised. She built the juniors house by herself 2 weeks ago with only a few minor placement issues and keeps wanting to build more. She still needs help tightening and can have problems placing 1 row plates, but other than that she can do most of the build by herself. Tomorrow we might crack open a Raptor Rampage since whenever we watch the movie she tells me she is Claire. We're well over a dozen viewings and its on right now2 points

Lego Dimensions Superman, Wicked Witch and the Ghostbusters Bill Murray pack. Yesterday, he built an Indiana Jones Temple Escape for me to verify completeness before listing it.2 points

brickpedia says there will be an astromech droid called R3 M3 in this set. Apparently blue with clear dome although cannot verify 100% http://en.brickimedia.org/wiki/R3-M32 points

You know the best packaging I have seen is from Apple. The way their boxes are all mint is they have cardboards to protect their corners of their packaging. Other companies that deal with collectibles need to learn from them.2 points

What I really wish is that LEGO would put 2 ships in the same set, so there could be an actual battle. And not just 1 ship and a little rowboat.1 point

Are you referring to Rossmann? Their local store here had Poe's X-Wing reduced to 65€. Amongst the Nexo Knights sets there were already reducedsets, too (e.g. 70314). So all those will probably retire this year?1 point

Depending on supply maybe more than $20. They will sell BIg Ben for many years. These will be available for 15 days. Maybe.1 point

When talking about Star Wars and its many ships you also should never forget that these are included in many computer games as well. One of the more popular star wars games right now would be star wars battlefront which not only features boba fett as a playable character but also Slave I as playable ship. You can also find boba and his ship in comic books and other media. Slave I probably will never be as popular as the MF but it is a unique ship which seperates it from all those x-wings and tie fighters as well as other ships. Also a Boba Fett spin off movie isn't out of the question.1 point

There are the 5 rogue one sets coming out in september. Until we see the movie it is hard to say what vehicles were not covered by those sets. This may not be the complete list. I'm guessing we get a couple of play sets that show more environment like they did with TFA sets. I guess these sets will cover the january and june 2017 releases. Then in september of 2017 we will probably get episode 8 sets. I think there will be a lot less rehashing of sets with a new movie every year. And when they do I think their focus will be on OT.1 point

I was going to say, I didn't see any other themes. Got two Jets at the Maple Valley location, and two skate parks and one hair salon at the Covington location. Covington still has two skate parks, and actually in their toy clearance section, which I left for others. Funniest thing I saw was one of their "warning" stickers on a $4.99 creator set. :-)1 point

For anyone that's having this problem, I volunteer to let you display your items at my house as a "permanent loan." I'll even spend 5 minutes making a sign that says "Courtesy of" in case you're worried I won't give you credit.1 point

I always assume (and accept) a BO that's within 10%. Main advantage of offering it (for me, anyhow) is (1) appealing to buyers who may be looking for a [bulk purchase] "deal", and (2) even a click decline can help you gather feedback on what may be an overly ambitious expectation on your pricing.1 point

Continued my building rampage while my wife is overseas. Been wanting to make the kwik-e into a modular style that will fit on the block. I had to sacrifice the isles inside but everything else fit nicely. This is my first attempt at any kind of moc or mod. I think it turned out pretty good. The second floor will be an addition onto the cinema next door, still playing around with that. I have it started in the last pic but I may change that up.1 point

Working on a western scene and saw a western train station on Lego Ideas and liked it (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/9050), but wanted to mod some changes, make it a modular and add some LED lights (http://www.lifelites.com/). I have worked on this one on/off for about three years making all kinds of modifications to it. I want to redo the inside of the building at some point, maybe give it more detail like the outside. However, for now I am content with it. I hid the battery pack to the street lights under the water tower and ran the wiring under the building (you can kind of see the battery pack, but not too bad). The clock tower lights up too, though it may be hard to see. I hid the battery pack inside the roof, with a little trap door to turn the power on. I like that it is usable for western type scenes as well as a modern train station (since there are so many older train stations still in use across this country). I also modified the locomotive so that it runs on Power Functions. All the wooden planks that wrap around the station are the 1x4 wood grain tiles (not stickers), part #2431pb243. I bought a bunch a few years ago and am glad I did, they are quite pricy now. I think it makes it look a lot nicer. Spoiler: and those of you with OCD…you may notice in the pictures that the four clocks are not aligned to be the same time…sorry.1 point
