  1. Bricklinked UCS Super Star Destroyer.
  2. Last summer I brought my old 90s Pirates sets down to the beach to assemble with the goal of selling them. Unsurprisingly, I fell back in love with them, and before I left the I'd ordered a Brick Bounty to fulfill my childhood dream of owning a Pirate Ship. It only seemed appropriate to wait until I was back at the beach this week to assemble it. Not without flaws, but a great set!
  3. I've had enough of the heat and decided to open this one up. I can tell it'll be a fun build! Step 1 of 14 complete...
  4. just wait for TRU to follow suit and reduce price to $129,99

We should make CL ads with just this pic
  6. Here's a screen shot from the trailer... You can sort of make out a pink Batsuit with a tutu. And then this pic has been circulating of a prototype part...
  7. Sorry, but your post was begging for this response
  8. I hope we'll get some of the batsuits shown (The Batriot, St Batricks, Merbat, Glam Bat, The Bat Pack...) in LEGO form.
  9. Lego riddler, Cuz I am always asking yall dumb questions
  10. For those of you who saw my other post, sorry for the repeat. For those who didn't, I picked up a box at an "Estate Sale" (where the resident and her mother were very much alive) for $80. It has a complete Cafe Corner modular (was missing four small pieces) and what looks like a complete 5526 Skyline. Massive thanks to @jgschmieg3 and @Alpinemaps for identifying the two sets from a pic last night with a part of one instruction page from the CC and a couple partially built sections of the skyline. Also from a CL post, I picked up a used, but supposedly complete Simpsons House for $100. Haven't dug into it yet, I was a little distracted by the CC. I've seen so many posts with great finds and I've lost out on two online charity auctions lately, one with a Black Pearl and one with a UCS ISD and a UCS IST, so it felt good to get a win. I've always said I'm in this to finance my Lego building/collecting habit, so I may offer the CC up for trades for a package of sets I want for my collection like the GBHQ, Sandcrawler, and UCS Red 5.
  11. Pretty cool, I remember when this happened with the B-Wing.
  12. Sold my last Iron Patriot on BL yesterday for $30. It had been sitting there for several months and only a few weeks ago I created an EBay listing for the same polybag and settled for a $25 rate w/ free shipping just to be competitive. Glad that one didn't sell
  13. LEGO is not THAT stupid. Why give away the goods for $3.99 each when they can sell 3 + a few bricks for $60 ????
  14. Sounds like: we need a movie mini figure line! Just imagine... blind bags of differet bat-suits... fun fun Good luck smooshing through those...
  15. Now "Justice League"!!!
  16. 3 x high speed passenger train 60051 for total of $270, local deal.
  17. This got posted to the wrong thread, so I've moved it here. I believe this is the issue that @ckBricks was talking about earlier.
  18. I went to Walmart this morning that was showing $25 tydiriums and couple other equally awesome deals (with isle locations) but I didnt find anything, then I stopped at two different Five Below stores to get some awesome dimension fun packs for $5 but all they had was ninjago and the-movie ones so I passed, stopped at a TRU store but I didn't find anything interesting there either, grocery store was next....now it's barbecue time!!!!!

I will never understand the people that post pics of Lego they wanna sell. How about inside the containers. Hey, here's a pic of the closet they're in or a pic of the house they're in. [emoji849]
  20. Loved when the first 2 images that google showed when you searched "May 4th" was my shifter and your Pacino. Bet there were more than a few confused people.

Yeah, I could see this. 1/3 of the sets are City, which would be a grind to sell. Looking at some of the Star Wars that I can make out, it would be a lot of work for profiting off of used sets. No guarantees of complete sets. hmmmmm......probably gonna stick with new sets. Thanks for the input everyone.
  22. I am still curious...where and when are these birds migrating from???
  23. Was your post even necessary then? You came on here and your quote is "the pricing for the US retailers stock tracker is garbage". Was that necessary instead of asking a mature and helpful post like... "Hey guys, I noticed that on the Walmart listings for the Stock Tracker, that the pricing sometimes jumps from here to on the following listing. Is that a glitch or something going with Walmart, whenever you get a chance please take a look" In one post, you could help describe what page is having a possible issue, what to look for and how often you see it happen. That is helpful. Your post was garbage.
  24. They could easily make a "Batman's closet" set featuring several versions of the cotumes

    I'm watching "Gremlins" this morning.
  26. "Where I'm from that's called slavery!"
  27. 13% auf diversen Galeria Lego (Creator, SW, Ideas) und mit AFFGKEM0716 Gutschein nochmals 11% dazu.
  28. These were probably buried under all the Birds sets they just unloaded. Maybe they'll stumble on some Robie Houses.
  29. Lol, I've said it before, I'll say it again:
  30. Wow! This trailer exceeded my expectations!
  31. Now that I think about it, Exciter1's original avatar brings up a good question. .....Are Stormtroopers a bad aim at everything?
  32. Made a Lego lake house at my father in law's real lake house. No real moose though...
  33. <---- Mine's Donald J. Trump. Also, I flip studs.
  34. Just finished my UCS Falcon.. took much longer than expected (mainly just to sort and FIND the pieces needed for each step) but worth it. It's bigger even than anticipated but also "loose" in areas. Having built nearly every other large Star Wars ship, the top panels don't secure the way I expected. Either way, it's an icon for a reason.
  35. Well...I finally found all the pieces...a couple off color but still looks amazing I think. It took my son and I 7 hours with 3 slight rebuilds until we got the balance right. Yes, it is tricky getting it to stand! Let me know what you all think. #legodad
  36. In this case, the white brick is an interior color/trim part which also adds some structural strength to the inner wall. Could they have made it orange as well? Sure, but then there would be less detail on the inside. Considering that the Modulars are meant to be placed next to one another, most would never care or notice. This is not an error, but a choice by the designer. Many LEGO sets have similar situations in which there is no perfect solution.
  37. The two main quality drops are the following: Different plastic used for some new molds, mainly special accessories. These are manufactured in China, but stop blaming the country since it is LEGO's decision to use that plastic which they could do anywhere, like Denmark. I heard that the reason is that you can create much cheaper molds for this kind of material and the Chinese factory is the one that is set up with the new machines. Coloring process is different. Back then they were using pre-colored granulates. Now they use colorless and inject the paint. This is cheaper and reduces much of the logistics burden. The upside of this change is that they are capable to make a much higher variety of colors. So, overall quality has dropped, that is true. I guess this is the price we pay for wanting a huge number of custom molds and colors.
  38. "Make it work!" [emoji6]
  39. Yep, target red card 5% off basically brings me down to a normal tax rate
  40. I hope the new female stormtroopers have as good of aim as the fembots.
  41. We can mount YOUR milennium falcon on MY wall and I'll be sending you pictures updates daily
  42. I have these for my educational business - wonderful set. $30 in the US RRP, but you get working steering and a 2-speed (plus neutral) gearbox. Takes kids about 2-3 hours to build (adults more like 1-1.5hrs). We then remove the engine and place a technic motor on it to create a powered Go-Kart (still need to manually steer) using the 2 gear settings ... kids love it, plus it helps them understand gearing. Not sure I understand which "white round/cross" piece you a referring to - do you have a picture or a step in the instructions? Kids in my class tend to accidentally put the gear axle in in reverse, and then the big and small gears on top don't fit - luckily I can take the model apart in a few clicks to fix it.
  43. Me: "Each of my 3 children need their own, or they'll fight over it." Retailer: "Um, Sir, your kids here are all under 3 years old, I have to warn you LEGO would be a choking hazard for them..." Me: "Stop judging me!"
  44. Built this last week with the 6 year old. Pretty happy with how it turned out...enjoyable build, several play features and a ton of mini figs...I really like the end result.
