  1. Yes, collection is in Albuquerque, NM. I'll drive up to 500 miles on my end for delivery if needed. My treatment has been great so far. Losing much of your tongue totally sucks, but it beats the alternative. Thanks everyone for the good wishes, I'll make it through this.
  2. I've had many inquiries, thanks to everyone! The collection has been sold, and I'm working with the buyer to arrange delivery. Thanks again to everyone, that was really quick. I actually had several offers in excess of my $12,500 asking price. I didn't accept them as 1) I had been working a deal with a buyer prior to this, and 2) I felt $12,500 was the fair price which leaves enough room for the buyer to make some profit on this collection. After all, that's one of the reasons we're all here. Thanks again, now I have to start packing things up.
  3. Once again, thanks to all. I really didn't want my health to be such a big deal; we all deal with stuff like this eventually, at least if you're living right. Here I am. 6" incision on my neck from the radical neck dissection I had 7 weeks ago. All the lymph nodes in the left side of my neck were removed, along with about 35% of my tongue.
  4. So you acted like a gentleman and gave her one of yours?
  5. I sold the beat up box tower bridge I picked up the other day for $200. Not too interesting but I did sell it on a new site (new to me) Nextdoor.com. It's a message board website for neighborhoods. It has a classified section. I don't think I will list any thousand dollar SSDs there but it might be good for small and used stuff. It's also great for getting local recommendations. It's gotten so expensive to sell online, love seeing a new local source beside craigslist. It's much more personalized than CL too so I don't expect the garbage responses I sometimes get on CL.
  6. I am really sorry to read that you are going through this. I hope that your treatments go extremely well and you go into remission sooner than later.

I think all second-year items have the gold base (different from blue first-year).

  13. Finally, I found the time to build a little bit today. It's Battle on Takodana with some Jedis visiting Maz while the bad guys are out of town. Thankfully, there were only two stickers in need of application and the banner is made of some kind of fabric. Also, most of the parts and bricks seem to be easily repurposed for MOCs.
  14. I'm down in STL but from Chicago. I wish I could go this weekend. I'll have to plan ahead for next year.
  15. Jeff Foxworthy: When your credit card company tracks your purchases and markets Lego to you at the screen on the gas pump you're using....You might be a Reseller
  16. What? There are screens on the gas pumps in your area?? I thought the gas stations there look more like this:

  18. @diablo2112 I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Good luck with your recovery and health. I know it isn't easy but we all wish you the best going forward. Staying positive for your family and self def helps.
  19. I agree .. the set itself is mediocre so the raptors are the only thing carrying it. I agree with newbie and $150 will be it's upper limit... maybe you get the swing of $160 on Amazon, $140 on eBay (or so) but I can't see it hitting $200.
  20. Sorry to hear about your circumstances! Wishing you a speedy recovery. I have done business with the OP and can vouch for him.
  21. Since you asked... listen carefully at 0:53. Yep... can't remember three things from a grocery list, but I can remember hearing about a new lego part in a designer video!

Nothing crazy. I have a 6 foot floating shelf I turned into "battle of Hoth" once I get my new place I'll open AOH and add to it (bigger display) Working with the space I have lol
  23. Two sets recently...Eiffel Tower and the Disney Characters. And yes, the star destroyer is attacking the Disney characters!
  24. 1000% larger will be a 22% return. 900% increase is a 20% return. 10x larger is 20%, but not 1000% larger. 1800/2 is an additional 900% because you already receive the 2%. It is analogous to the difference between 25% off (say $75 vs $100) and an item being 33% more expensive (say $75 vs $100) and it really depends on your point of reference. All that matters is that you are happy with your 20% off at Loblaw's
  25. Thank you, finally grabbed one after missing twice.

  27. Yes. Maybe drop him a note and ask again. I just did this the other day. I had one buyer win three different bulk auctions. He asked for combine shipping. On the seller's control panel there's an option to see listings that are eligible for combined shipping. I could select all three and then it generated an invoice that let me input a single amount for shipping.
  28. Gone from LEGO Shop at Home in Europe
  29. I managed to nah two GBH, 11SC, and some other ones here and there.... Myer sale is now on, and i was able to use my egiftcards to buy myer cards so its 8% at myer now for me
  30. I got two more before they went poof yesterday and just picked up the first two I bought last week. Can I just say what a pain the in store pick up at WM can be sometimes...

They were brave enough to pay with 10% off gc from raise.com
  32. I always assume it's just moving things to the other side of the warehouse or perhaps across the street. Is Toy Whiz something other than a WM/Walton family subsidiary (with some shell corps creating illusionary separation)?
  33. Don't let him touch any of your minifigs or you'll have to make a note in the listing.
  34. Patience, look at Ebay listings and very few are outside the UK and Germany, prices starting at 85 euros with a weakening pound. This is a 120-150 euro set like the Delorean, just a question of time.
  35. Finally built 42043, great set!
  36. Love this Set! Step 4 / 8.

  39. I bought a second hand 10212 last week and built it at the weekend. I had no idea of the scale of this thing. It's HUGE. Pic next to my 10188 for comparison. For 350gbp I consider this a bit of a bargain.
  40. Dreary and cold day, games were cancelled, so let's build.

  42. I had gotten a few for investment, but never wanted to open them. I had always wanted to get one, as it was (and is) my favorite. By the time I was ready to grab one for myself, it was gone. I never could bring myself to open up any of my investment ones. I've got at least one of all the other exclusives (from FB and TH on), in a "used" state - some are complete, some I've bought used and still Bricklinking. After looking over the inventory, I decide, eh, why not?
  43. F'a;lkdfa;lsdkfj awesome. About time. I don't care if the ghost/ghoul/goblin is always a disgruntled gardner/librarian/locksmith. I loved this show growing up- my kids love it too. Well played TLG- well played.
