  1. Very happy with this purchase. Still can't believe my luck. In great condition. Only missing a few pieces which I have already ordered from bricklink. Super Star Destroyer next!
  2. Took the instructions from the Maersk train #10219 and Bricklink'd all in black, bought some waterslide decals from a local hobby shop and then modified it a bit to be a Norfolk Southern locomotive in our little city. Nothing special, but we added power functions and it runs great.
  3. May ended up being my best month of the year so far. Here are some recent sales: 10221 Super Star Destroyer $974 shipped (Bricklink) 10224 Town Hall $565 shipped (eBay) 10241 Maersk Triple-E Freighter $250 shipped / GSP (eBay) 75054 AT-AT $220 shipped (eBay) 30320 Gallimimus Trap $15 shipped (eBay)

  5. As predicted, just sold an X-men vs Sentinel on Amazon for $80 only a few days after the X-men movie opened. I'll net almost a 100% return on these after fees, etc. after getting them on discount only a few months ago. Who says superhero lego sucks?
  6. Sold Exeter Cathedral Lego Professional set for $385 free shipping. Cost me $80 including to buy and ship to US from Europe. Flipped it in 5 weeks. Also sold Rockerfeller Center last night for $115 with free ship. Monster Fighter Haunted House 10228 for $440 with free ship. Gugenheim $139 free ship Robie House $479 free ship Republic Gunship 75021 $219 free ship. Probably sold this one too low. Friends Emma's Horse Trailer 3186 $59.00 free ship Willis tower $74 free ship Microfighter X-wing $29 free ship. All through Ebay.
  7. If you're having problems or just have a general comment or complaint about the updated DD stickied post, please PM me with the details. I tried to tighten it up a little and make it a little more classy.
  8. My son's B-day Party + Three-Day weekend = Lots of swimming, putt-putting, eating, and Lego building. We finished the three smaller sets from his birthday party haul. Next up: The Phantom, Poe's X-Wing, and Kylo's Shuttle
  9. Not a Lego fruitcake seller but thought this was funny Me: is the Nike swoosh on the shoes reflective? Seller: you either want the shoes or you don't make up your damn mind. Me: I'm sorry but I feel you may have responded to the wrong potential buyer, my question was about the swoosh being reflective or not. Seller: I don't know.
  10. I'm going to start using the "sticky" ability of the forum software to keep the current offers and coupons at the top of every page.
  11. Nothing special ?? I would be showing this off
  12. I just repurchased and built the very first Lego set I ever received. I got this set from Santa many years ago I just got one like it on Craigslist.

  15. Man-Bat Attack popped up available to ship at $17.98 on TRU for those interested http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=30181376&cp=2255956.2273442.3999911.13339982&parentPage=search
  16. Sold 2 NISB 21109 ExoSuits on eBay $33 ea, free shipping (wrapped in shipping paper only - per my listing - shipped 1st class at 15.5 oz). Lucky for me, when I first bought them, I was just starting out, and I only bought a couple. One of my first Brickpicker "hot tip" buys, about 97 weeks in inventory, now pretty much break-even on the sale (only because I used about $20 in VIP points to buy on one of them). Still, the feeling of having no more 21109 in inventory ... priceless
  17. Review embargo lifted, judge for yourselves. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=133688 Might be worth picking up an example in store today if the rumour about it being delayed comes true à la Wall E.
  18. I have 2 green front coupons and they are both unique bar codes. Sorry folks!
  19. Nope, wasn't me. I posted the original image when I got it in the mail thinking it was multi-use as usual. I've been busy and haven't checked this thread until now. It sounds like it was a one time use apparently? Oh well. No big deal. Other than Slave I's there isn't much I'm looking to buy right now anyway. I do have about $65 worth of rewards coupons I was hoping to use this week in conjunction with the coupon, but I guess I'll have to wait. You're welcome to whomever was able to use my coupon...lol.
  20. Louvre dropped to $43.90. 27% off https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00X6A8VDE/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1464712179&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=lego+louvre&dpPl=1&dpID=51g8hxXOGOL&ref=plSrch
  21. Had to grab some Flatiron at that price.
  22. Sold: 5 republic gunships 219 free shipping 3 Technics 41999 360 + shipping (both going overseas)
  23. @Phil B - I ran into the same thing. There's a "mark as answered" option within your seller center. I can't recall exactly which screen, but in one of the list views you can filter for "listings with unanswered questions" and then select "mark as answered" as one of the action options in a dropdown, IIRC.
  24. Yeah. I tend to think people read Best Offer as "please make me a derogatory offer and get annoyed when i don't accept it".
  25. I think there's a reason why they sell for more money on BL: There is a certain "guarantee" of authenticity there, and people buying minifigs on BL are much better educated in the minifig market. Over on EBay there are a lot of counterfeits, and it is much more of a gamble - so you'll find parents/grandparents buy the occasional minifig there, but the real collectors will be cautious and much rather buy from a safer place like BL.
  26. Doesn't work for me either... I don't think we need the spoiler tags. wobbly rear hubs (normal as it is a known issue with the part. Poor turning circle and hard to access steering wheel. Fiddly sequential gearbox with no wat of telliing what gear is engaged. 4 revers gears! Problem turning engine in lower gears due to friction.
  27. Sold 2 sets of Series 8 Mixels for $103 shipped on Amazon
  28. While waiting for a Windows 10 ISO download to complete, I pulled the LXF file from Eurobricks, opened it in LDD, exported it to LDR, loaded the LDR in BrickStock, went through about 25 substitutions, then made almost everything Black, removed/readjusted the expensive parts and came to ~$90 for a black engine based on 6 month averages, motorized, perhaps missing a few components (LXF file is not complete, and something might have been lost in the conversion). Current minimum inventory price is ~$45. Shipping of course not included, and you might need many orders. So I'd say a safe total price is somewhere between $120 and $150 for the entire engine, motorized, including shipping.
  29. Thanks for the comments guys - I think I'm going to go the unassembled route, use a stock photo pic but also one of the pieces arranged correctly. Appreciate everyones help!

  33. after watching the video and its steady stream of glum-faced TLG kladno minions assembling this masterpiece of toy packaging, i have to admit i'm in love with the box more than i am with the actual set.

Any builder understands the strife in trying to make something feel natural and organic. Thankfully some have been quite successful in these endeavors which lead back to the subject for this topic. One part akin to "advanced building techniques" and the other being "MOC highlights", I thought it might be interesting to have a central hub for showing off these designs of nature well as ways to create them if possible. A couple of designs here to start things off with hopefully more added as time goes by. Note: This is not only about trees but any sort of scene with beautiful creativity in all things flora just in LEGO form. Cherry blossoms by 片岡 ひろし Technical Tree
  36. I posted this in projects picks a few months back, but the truth of the matter is this would never get pass the approvel stage. I've seen some of your guys modular towns so I'm going post it here too I think it would make and excellent , I would love to build something like this. Loads of detail, actually looks like lego have designed it.
  37. Not sure because he is either to lazy to check or to stupid to know.

EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Massive scale, has the Millennium Falcon docked, and he's even included the window scene when they are all stood there and the end of the film. Excellent
  42. Hard to tell exactly because some orders contained parts for other sets to minimize my shipping cost from any individual store. My closet guess is probably $375 USD + or - $20. Pros: #1 all new parts with no concerns about pets, smoke, discoloration, fading, etc #2 got to pay for the set a little at a time as I made 1 to 2 orders per month #3 saved probably $200 over eBay pricing for used sets #4 sense of accomplishment to bricklink a 2000+ piece set. Cons: #1 no box or instructions, which could easily set me back $100 + USD each to pick up later #2 not 100% original as discussed so resale is really diminished. Unless LEGO releases new sets with sand green 1x8 and/or 1x2 with grooves it would cost me about $300 to get the original parts I needed. #3 very labor and time consuming to acquire all the parts individually. The first 1500 are easy, it's the last 800 that take the effort and money. I probably made 10 separate orders.
