  1. I put this together myself tonight. SDCC2015-3 Action Comics #1 I Bricklinked the parts. The roof is a change out, since that piece, in green, only exists in the original set. Superman is from the Dimensions Fun Pack. As a huge Superman fan, this was pretty cool to build. Hugely iconic to me.

  6. Did you buy any of this item? Doesn't that make you part of the horde? Why do you hate yourself and everyone else? Why did you create a new profile instead of keeping all of your negativity contained to the mscheaf profile? Troll on, mscheaf.

  12. I think this thread lost mojo now. Nowadays, even if a set really retires, so what? Doesn't mean much anymore. This retiring soon discussion only drives the hoard to go crazy on some soon-to-be-hot sets. But that becomes more of a trap than an opportunity now. I would just go buy the sets I really like and forget about this retiring soon stuff. I will come back to see the sets performance after maybe 2 years after retirement.

  15. Trek does not know what is acceptable or not but hope someone comes through for you ..... I have no Kwik E Mart's and I do not have the cash to buy every set known to man even at 50 percent off there is a limit somewhere and the half off sales have been coming left and right. That is on top of the fact that my region in 150 miles has none and did not yesterday either. So in any event best of luck and hope someone comes through.

  16. The technic crane is the wrong scale. Try looking for city cranes like 60076, 7632, 7633, or 7249.

  19. You have been given some very bad advice my friend. It as against amazon policy to create your "own" case packs. You may slide by a few times (or not) but eventually you will get banned. Case packs are only to be used for items that are case packed directly from the manufacturer (in the case of lego those boxes with the purple and black striping on the outside). You said you wanted to ship 6 of one item to one warehouse? Easy. Make your shipping plan for one of the item so it has to go to one warehouse. After you create the shipping plan you can modify each item by up 6 units (so change the number to 6). This will allow you to send all 6 to one warehouse without breaking the rules. My advice with amazon is don't try and bend the rules. They do not need 3P sellers at all, and they will not be taking on new, or keeping all existing, 3P sellers in the future either. Follow the rules, above all make THEIR customers happy no matter the cost, and long term Amazon will make your wallet very happy.

  21. Got this set used, well below retail price. Not so pleased with the shipping box, but for the price I didn't complain much... Its been about a week and half now and I seem to still have a bunch of pieces left over. All the pieces came mixed in, so no number bags. If I couldn't find a piece after a certain time frame I'd move over to the next step. Somewhat of a frustrating build for me. Still a working process, but she is getting there. Just happy to be an owner of this amazing set.

  22. 30+ more lbs of loose bulk for $225 + shipping. I bought the lot for $75, picked out the minifigures / accessories and non Lego junk. And It all came with one of these that I kept.

  23. I'm actually pretty hyped for Rogue One, especially after seeing the trailer. I'm positive after seeing the Force Awakens on opening day, and from what i'm seeing for Rogue One and for Ep 8, that we are back in a golden age reminiscent of that time when I was a kid during the late 70's - early 80's. Sure the movies have some flaws, but they are fun again, and it's hard to whip rotten tomatoes at these, because Disney seems to be doing the series a little justice now, and I don't think i'd have ever felt that would happen when they bought out Lucas. I find myself devouring star wars information as it comes out. Those minifigs look great by the way. To me the revealing of those 5 sets is all I care about from Lego at this point. I'll probably buy every one.

  26. after messaging to confirm order and address before shipping and giving them a chance to come to their senses before I shipped it to Alaska (not kidding), the buyer asked to cancel the order to which i obliged. phewsh - i didn't want to sell for less than 3X MSRP - now i can go back to using an upgraded 4x msrp place holder to monitor the prices on amazon easily with other for sale inventory .

  27. I think it's time for a mass online petition to lego re: stickers. Lego is supposed to be a premium product. Premium products should not have 50 stickers. With EEE, they crossed another line as well, with stickers that spanned multiple pieces. Yucko.

  29. Oversupply on the primary market means AVOID for the secondary market. Simpons run out of gas decades ago in Europe and seems Americans don´t care for it much anymore either. All in on Star Wars from now on.

  33. Hi Natalie I've just seen your ad on Gumtree and seen what you're expecting. I think to be honest you'd be lucky to get half that. Although these have boxes and instructions they are used and played with sets, most of them in a theme (lego city) that is not popular with bulk buyers for post retirement resale. Also by not listing the set numbers you are making it more work for potential buyers. Most city sets get discounted by up to 50% before they retire so if people are looking to pick them up to make a profit that's their usual buy in for brand new sets. Used, played with sets probably half that again so I really think you need to reduce your expectations. You can definitely get more than 200 for them all but I think the selling price will be nearer that figure than what you've advertised.

  34. I think this is true for big sets like the UCS, creator expert, modulars, etc. Everyone knows that as soon as a UCS or modular retires the hoard is going to go crazy, no matter what. I still think there's something to be gained if you get those traditional go-to sets at a decent discount, but this is usually before the sets retire (for example the 20% discount at TRU in March was worth it for exclusives). It can be useful to know when a set retires just to anticipate the continuation of a theme (eg Simpsons, Pirates) or to see if there are going to be any gaps in the lineup (eg Star Wars). But it is mostly a long term investment.

  36. Agreed, TOK. This set is remarkably similar to an actual Minecraft village. Finally, we get some villagers and I think they turned out really well. I'm really happy to see the Zombie Villager too - nice touch. The buildings are spot on too. Great effort.

  39. I think the Delorean was about 1.5 years ( give or take) and given that the Ecto was well-received I imagine sales have been pretty decent, thus the longer shelf time. I don't think many will be concerned about the viability of the original Ecto vs the reboot version. Two completely different animals. One is original cast and 25th anniversary packaging to boot. Should be a winner without a doubt.

  40. Not my LEGO Ideas but just something I came across just now and I like it because it's similar in scope to the already available Birds set: Lego Sea animals Project: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/117629 If this Idea gets enough votes it could actually get produced because it really does fit in the LEGO Ideas series I think. What do you all think?

  41. I finished building mine last night. It really doesn't match the modular style. its 49 studs wide, which is about 1 1/2 baseplates wide. It opens from the back with "wings" from splitting the back 1/4 in half so you couldn't sandwich it between buildings as is. You could mod it to remove the sloped roof sides and make them straight walls, but that's pretty significant mod. You'd also have to figure something to do with the air space above because it would look too low in line with the modulars. (maybe a giant billboard?). But I really do like the build for its own merits. There are tons of details and some creative techniques. My only complaint is that they didn't print more of the elements. There are 50+ stickers. The Squishee cups are great!
