I'm not sure this would be the right thread to post my MOC since it doesn't use a lot of parts from the official set. On the other side, it's made from the 70816 parts completely...[emoji3] Lego Medieval Guardhouse by brickblues brickblues, on Flickr ...disassembling Benny's Spaceship 70816 - took the parts way back in time... 9. I don't really know that we need a HB Cinematic Universe, but, i was a child of the 70s, when we had a HB connected universe.

  14. 30311 Swamp Police Helicopter. Supervised the 4 year old putting it together.
  15. Man I really wish studios would stop using "cinematic universe" to describe their new endeavors in hopes of copying what Marvel Studios/Disney have been successful at building with their brand.
  16. Coupon's on the first post from your link. Changing batteries on my sarcasm detector now, just in case.
  17. quite a respectable collection and what appears to be a trustworthy watch dog. Perhaps the ones offering you 200 quid are Man U fans.....
  18. That is the commonly correct answer achieved with standard cashier checkout. You might get lucky and find one determined to find some way to get them to combine, but that is a rare occurrence (and not what is "supposed" to happen based upon the fine print).
  19. Please don't list your ebay auction... selling in the forums is not allowed. Instead, why don't you post some pictures or a list of what you're trying to sell. Then we can help you... Alternatively, you can also use the Lot Calculator on Brickpicker http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/lego_lot_price_calculator.cfm Put in all the set numbers and the condition (which I assume is used) and it'll give you a rough idea. You should verify individual prices that seem out of line with completed sales on eBay to get a rough idea. Also, since you're selling it as a collection, people do expect a discount from the overall value. I.e. you get more if you sell individually complete sets.
  20. Cue the "what coupon?"
  21. If it helps with my landscaping, I'm down.
  22. I am good with the normal reviews or the outside the box reviews as well. I like that you have a passion for lego and it shows with your reviews. I am a collector that has never sold a set ever, but this is my favorite lego site due to the fantastic moderators that keep it mature, crisp, on point, and the people who really take time to put up videos or reviews such as yourself. Sometimes I am not really interested in buying a set till I see your reviews, or not buy, ie spiderman/rhino set:) Please keep up the great work
  23. Tried to look but couldn't find anything credible (the escape scene is too vague/distant). 26. Details on 21128 - The Village are out now. Got this from Forbes.com of all places: Forbes article is here
  27. It is a rumor no more: Probably the May release.
  28. Unless your TRU is really different, it won't matter. The 2 times I've been asked I've just said I use a website that makes it scannable from a phone since I lose physical coupons, which is true. If they don't want to take it, arguing won't help. YMMV by individual, generally.
  29. Was there any communication before the case was opened? Did you write to this buyer when you received the shipment back? I would have offered to refund purchase costs (minus shipping costs) when I received the package back - no need for the buyer to initiate. I have not had a case like this, but I would still extend the same offer (potentially with a 20% restocking fee) and just treat this like a return. Ad 2), do you actually have the package, or does it currently reside with USPS? For stuck packages, just going to the tracking page and requesting email status updates magically unclogs the USPS pipes in most cases (that was one hell of a pro-tip when it was posted a few months back) - or you can call that USPS location and check with them. A month is a long time to wait though - I would have acted sooner.

  36. Here is a walkthrough video:
  37. It sounds like you already have an email thread started with the buyer trying to work things out. This is your first course of action. I assume that the item was larger and of higher value since you used signature confirmation? Keep that in mind during this process. +1 to Phil's advice on getting email update status on your package from usps.com. I've had good luck with that. Feel free to let the buyer know: "The post office will attempt to deliver a package 3 times. After the 3rd attempt it will hold it for pick-up for approximately 3-5 days. After that time period it will be returned to the sender as undeliverable. " If the buyer still wants a full refund and you've made a reasonable attempt to try to resolve the matter then I would contact ebay. In this instance you as a seller have done nothing wrong and have adhered to ebay's terms and conditions etc. as a seller. ebay will side with you on this one and will more than likely prevent any negative feedback being applied to your account. good luck.
  38. Costco.ca just listed the millennium falcon for 154.99 and dropped the price in elves treetop 49.97.

  42. I will try to articulate my thoughts the best I can, which sometimes comes out differently than the words rumbling around in my head. Part of me considers everyone on here a competitor and I smirk when I see someone stock up on an item I am totally avoiding because of past experiences. I also very much appreciate when people post deals because I often buy a large amount when these rare deals pop up. What irks me about this post and the prior post is that you make incomplete statements which can possibly lead people to make some very bad choices. There are several $230 CDN $ sets available to buy which are $200 US currently. They all could be winners regardless of currency, or they could be losers because of currency. I have been having an amazing 2015/16 because of the huge drop in the CDN $ compared to the greenback. I believe the market prices are strongly driven by the US$ which could pose a significant problem if our currency rebounds to par again. It absolutely can happen, not likely anytime soon, but it is possible. So while fellow people on this forum are competitors, I only try to help newer individuals so they don't get in over their heads. Yes, only the strong survive, but if people take your advise blindly without doing any research, it could impact their lives negatively. As for currency exchange, Norbert's Gambit has been a means to convert currency for a very long time. You can do this at any brokerage and the fees are reasonable if you have a large enough account or trade a lot. There is still some small risks associated with this technique, which should be at least understood and considered. I personally used DLR and DLR.U because my brokerage charges nothing to trade those ETF's (or charged nothing the last time I did it). Anyways, I hope I didn't derail the thread, and my only hope is that people are careful and do their due diligence. Cheers,
