Hey, I'm very new here (literally my first post) so I don't know how this forum likes Costco Canada deals, but I thought I'd post a few since I hadn't seen them before: 42043 - Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245 - $199.99 CAD ($269.99 CAD at lego.ca) - 26% discount 60052 - Lego City Cargo Train - $178.99 CAD ($229.99 CAD at lego.ca) - 22% discount 75106 - Imperial Assault Carrier - $124.99 CAD ($149.99 CAD at lego.ca) - 17% discount In total they carry 17 sets from various themes, all at a discount to lego store prices, although it appears that discounts are better on larger sets (with the exception of 31313 which is being sold at the same price as lego shop).3 points

Generate your shipment for the 10697s as case-packed items, 2 per case, so you can use the original shipping boxes. They don't waste any space and the UPS rates you'll be getting are fantastic to the point of being unreal, if you're used to doing fulfillment yourself. Send your other, non-case-packed stuff in another shipment.2 points

Was about to direct your what did I buy question to here a buyer of another set had asked me about it, I was heading to a store where I knew they still had a couple so chanced my arm on a quick flip. Does that make me a QFLL, I feel so unclean now On a related note I love The Lego Movie, I picked up Benny's Spaceships at €50, Sea Cows at €150 and Double Decker Couches at €11.50. It's the theme that keeps on giving (for me)2 points

completely agree. 2 important points here. lots of people follow the horde, when its best to avoid. the other part is equally important yet most can't help themselves and that is keeping quiet!!2 points

Don't worry, you're cool. We just need to remind the entire community every once in a while.2 points

FYI, If a deal involves going to a portal and a click to bring you to another retailer's website, then it is from a competing affiliate program, ie. BP does not get the affiliate $. Posts will be removed2 points

Sounds like a confirmation of an earlier statement I made somewhere here on this forum. Savvy buyers who price-check and shop around typically buy on Ebay, impulse buyers go to Amazon.2 points

Just bought a Laval & Benny for $3.74 each w/ Cartwheel. Didn't try Eris and they didn't have Unikitty, but you already confirmed that one.2 points

I am not sure if it has been discussed - I know the Target Cartwheel offer for Dimensions Movie/Chima Fun Packs was talked about - it lists the Emmett pack and the one Chima pack, but it definitely works on the Unikitty pack and the other Chima pack as well. it does NOT work on Bad Cop, and I haven't tried it on Benny. As other people have mentioned, I don't think even at this price these are investment purchases, but for self/gifts/fun - solid price.2 points

I saw this movie for the first time last night. I haven't read any commentary yet (even in this thread), so I'll just share first, and then go and start reading. I liked it. I've heard there was some criticism, but I really enjoyed it. It was a bit long; there could have been some scenes cut. But overall, I really enjoyed it. I'm a long time Superman fan, and I've very familiar with the source material for the Death of Superman and Doomsday. I was fine that it was based loosely on that. I *loved* it when Diana shows up as Wonder Woman, to battle Doomsday. She absolutely rocked on screen. I'm curious to learn more about her motivations to be back in Man's World, after being gone for 100 years. But I thought she was fantastic, and loved how she had "transformed" from "Diana Prince" to "Wonder Woman." She was strong, she was intense. She fit my image of WW just fine. I also enjoyed Lex Luthor. I thought he was well done. I had no problem with his arc. He was, to me, clearly a mastermind who had a plan and an end game all along. If anything, he was probably played a little too well, because the surface "geek" seemed like that was as deep as he was. He was cold blooded and ruthless and very subtle about it (until the end). I also enjoyed his descent into madness at the end; it's clear, to me, that Darkseid (who is going to be the big baddie for all of these movies, imo), had already gotten to Luthor. I loved the foreshadowing to what's to come, with Bruce's visions. The huge Omega symbol, the Parademons, and, the Flash coming back in time to appear to Bruce. Awesome. Speaking of the Flash....I wish it was Grant, but, after seeing this - it just can't be Grant. The TV Flash just doesn't have a place in this universe. That's pretty clear to me. Neither does Green Arrow, or even Supergirl. The TV shows are different enough from these movies that it just doesn't work. I think the biggest problem I'm going to personally have is to separate myself from the TV Flash to see the Movie Flash as a different version of Barry Allen. All in all, I enjoyed the movie. I'm looking forward to Suicide Squad, and now, I'm really looking forward to Wonder Woman. edit to add: I loved Affleck's Batman/Bruce Wayne. I really dug a Batman that's been operating for 20 years. I thought he was excellent. Jeremy Irons as Alfred was fantastic as well. 2nd edit: I loved the Batmobile, and I loved the way that the Batmobile entered the cave via the lake.1 point

Amazon has a well earned reputation for having lower prices than anyone else. Many buyers will assume that when they search for an item, and see that it is being shipped by amazon, that it will be a reasonable price. This is why many sellers experience higher sale prices through Amazon - The buyer (through no fault of the seller) is being fooled.1 point

But does Staples let you buy Ebay gift cards using a Staples gift card? ...ill take myself to the inception thread1 point

Yep, and I suffer the flip-side of this from time-to-time when items are returned and customer damaged, which I can nothing about in most cases. I just have to offload the remainder of them through other channels.1 point

That's good news. I just found one sitting on a shelf at Wal-mart yesterday. Did a sweep behind various other sets just in case there were more. Sold 3 of my last 4 Raptor Escapes over the weekend for $100 CDN each on Amazon (or about $80 after fees and shipping). Got these as part of Bricktober so if you account for the value of the freebies I consider these to be a 100% return in 6 months.1 point
