Ok. I tried tonight. Here's the catch. You can have 20% and 15% on the same transaction but not the same item. BUT you can NOT stack the $xx of $xx coupon to the same transaction. So the best bet will be 2 legos and use 20% and 15% in 1 transaction. I can use the $15 off $100 on Dimensions pack, but no other coupons. and yes, I buy 12 3-CPO and get 1 FREE. I tried use the $15 off $100 even after my discounted lego (1 with 20% and 1 with 15%) are over $100, the system will throw you an error saying no enough amount. I tired used the $5 off $25 even after my discounted lego (1 with 20% and 1 with 15%) are over $25, the system flag the coupon as OFFLINE, I have no idea what that means. In Oct, we can have $5 of $25, 20% and 20% on the same transaction, but in Nov, that's the case anymore. It still can be done, but need manager override, so I tell them remove the $xx off $xx coupon, and everything works. Hope it helps.4 points

Don't mind at all. I purchased lot from a fellow Brickpicker back in February/March. Consisted of 250+ lbs. He had done some initial sorting, but finishing that and washing all the parts took about a month. I have been ordering parts as I go, inventorying about a dozen sets or so going by theme.(Had over 100 sets in it from 2005-2009 timeframe) Overall, I'm sure I've made minimum wage due to that hours put in sorting, but was able to keep some really cool sets like an Emerald Night, Motorized AT/AT, 7993 Service Station I've wanted for a long time, random figures, etc. etc. Between what I kept and sold/end up selling(have about a dozen left), I'll make a few thousand profit on a few thousand investment. Was hoping to double my money and I'll be darn close to doing it. This takes into account parts ordered, but not time or anything as I don't lose normal income due to working on this. I've kept a spreadsheet just for this lot to see how it goes. I'll also be taking a long break from doing this again as well.4 points

I would imagine the Campervan will most likely never get to the lofty heights of the Beetle for value, but it's not about making 500-600% ROI. It's about knowing that in the T1 Campervan you're investing in a set that should have no problem doubling it's price within a year or two. eBay sales sit around 80 - 120% of the retail price, a strong indication that despite being readily available in stores people are happy to pay a premium for this set. The numbers sold on eBay are impressive. The EU stock and sales figures for TLG (according to EU Brickset figures) were some of the best for any Creator set. The demand is there for a Lego Campervan, and unless they remake it once it retires it will always be desirable and garner a premium. That in my book is very cool.3 points

I have a funny story about a husband and wife cosplay duo at CVII. Her husband was dressed up as Slave Leia and she was an Admiral or something. I took their pic and laughed, told the guy he had cojones and went on. Later in the day I saw a red Stormtrooper or something, stopped for a pic and he said "Hey man, you took my picture earlier!" I did? "Yes, the dude dressed up as Slave Leia." Doh!3 points

I swear I recognize that Princess Leia. Scary. Makes you wonder what the view from the back is like in a I-want-to-throw-up kind of way. ;)3 points

That means cancelling all the Porsche Speed Champions sets too, then. Ain´t gonna happen. Beware of any car that declares 1 under the emissions tax threshold - only a German would fake things with such precision.2 points

Since the owner started this one with the Battlefront link (and everyone is enjoying it) - I would say that you might be overruled. It will likely die out soon enough. If not, then it should be moved (but I say give it some time). Well aware... That's why I said deeper. If it's not ex1 derailing a thread it's Ed Mack! BTW I'm old school (or just old) my fav was the original X-Wing and Tie Fighter games that ran on my old 386-40.2 points

I still play SW BF2 from time to time if I feel like destroying a bunch of rebel scums. I use Imperial Pilot to fly a TIE, sneak in to the rebels' main ship, steal an A-Wing, and use the A-Wing to destroy as many X-Wings & Y-Wings as I can2 points

Ed received the first copy of the book to review from the publishers and I am finally getting my first look at it. I have to say, it's pretty exciting to see months of work in a completed form. It really looks great and very proud of it. There is only about a month to go before it's released to the public which will be both exciting and nerve wracking to see what everyone thinks. If you haven't preordered it yet, pre-order it from Amazon now!1 point

Do not get me wrong. It is a very nice set. To say the least. And yes, even when available at Lego it sells at 120% RRP sometimes. But firstly... I have to see it retire anytime soon. If indeed it is the best seller in the creator theme you can wait long before retirement occurs. Secondly... I have learned if there are multiple pages on ebay with a certain set I become hesitant. I used to jump on those sets cause they are/were popular. But now I know better. I do not feel like competing with 100 others for the buyer and wait for months to make the sale for my desired price. Cause listings on ebay are limited. Hence, a few months ago I have even sold some of my T1's for buy-in. I have kept the ones that I bought at 35% off.1 point

Back in the day when the T1 was produced there were no computerchips or sensors to measure the exhaust. Where cars were still cars. No worries about the environment and most engines were easy to maintain. Nowadays you cannot even change the lamp of the headlight without needing to go to the dealership and pay 150 euro for it. This set is hoarded top notch. Why? Cause people saw what the Beetle did. And eventhough everybody in their right minds knows it will not perform like the Beetle people keep convincing themselves it will. This could only have happened if the shelflife would have been 2 years combined with a surprise retirement.1 point

is there any history of LEGO producing calendars late Nov into early Dec? these have a use by date of dec 1st. not sure why they would allocate resources to making more, unless they are already on the ships/trucks. Regardless of history, it wouldn't make sense for them to produce these past 11/15.1 point

Cosmic Boy is going to be a polybag Should pair nicely with the Lightning Lad that's coming in a cube from Target at some point. Now we just need Saturn Girl to complete the original three of the Legion of Super-Heroes.1 point

I used this example to my wife a week ago. She has been watching all the Star Wars stuff online recently and she said, "I'm getting really excited for this movie." I told her that 16 years ago I went through the same thing, then I saw what was delivered. I am not a prequel hater, but it failed to meet expectations. Heck, after Phantom Menace, I figured they'd just get better, but then I saw Attack of the Clones and felt renewed disappointment. So, I am attempting to tone down my excitement level, except I have 2 little girls and a wife that have never seen Star Wars in a theater. The whole house is getting excited. Halloween they are Rey and Phasma, and I cannot help but feel like the dad in that new Toys R Us commercial.1 point
