  3. Ok. I tried tonight. Here's the catch. You can have 20% and 15% on the same transaction but not the same item. BUT you can NOT stack the $xx of $xx coupon to the same transaction. So the best bet will be 2 legos and use 20% and 15% in 1 transaction. I can use the $15 off $100 on Dimensions pack, but no other coupons. and yes, I buy 12 3-CPO and get 1 FREE. I tried use the $15 off $100 even after my discounted lego (1 with 20% and 1 with 15%) are over $100, the system will throw you an error saying no enough amount. I tired used the $5 off $25 even after my discounted lego (1 with 20% and 1 with 15%) are over $25, the system flag the coupon as OFFLINE, I have no idea what that means. In Oct, we can have $5 of $25, 20% and 20% on the same transaction, but in Nov, that's the case anymore. It still can be done, but need manager override, so I tell them remove the $xx off $xx coupon, and everything works. Hope it helps.

  5. Don't mind at all. I purchased lot from a fellow Brickpicker back in February/March. Consisted of 250+ lbs. He had done some initial sorting, but finishing that and washing all the parts took about a month. I have been ordering parts as I go, inventorying about a dozen sets or so going by theme.(Had over 100 sets in it from 2005-2009 timeframe) Overall, I'm sure I've made minimum wage due to that hours put in sorting, but was able to keep some really cool sets like an Emerald Night, Motorized AT/AT, 7993 Service Station I've wanted for a long time, random figures, etc. etc. Between what I kept and sold/end up selling(have about a dozen left), I'll make a few thousand profit on a few thousand investment. Was hoping to double my money and I'll be darn close to doing it. This takes into account parts ordered, but not time or anything as I don't lose normal income due to working on this. I've kept a spreadsheet just for this lot to see how it goes. I'll also be taking a long break from doing this again as well.

  6. I would imagine the Campervan will most likely never get to the lofty heights of the Beetle for value, but it's not about making 500-600% ROI. It's about knowing that in the T1 Campervan you're investing in a set that should have no problem doubling it's price within a year or two. eBay sales sit around 80 - 120% of the retail price, a strong indication that despite being readily available in stores people are happy to pay a premium for this set. The numbers sold on eBay are impressive. The EU stock and sales figures for TLG (according to EU Brickset figures) were some of the best for any Creator set. The demand is there for a Lego Campervan, and unless they remake it once it retires it will always be desirable and garner a premium. That in my book is very cool.

  7. I have a funny story about a husband and wife cosplay duo at CVII. Her husband was dressed up as Slave Leia and she was an Admiral or something. I took their pic and laughed, told the guy he had cojones and went on. Later in the day I saw a red Stormtrooper or something, stopped for a pic and he said "Hey man, you took my picture earlier!" I did? "Yes, the dude dressed up as Slave Leia." Doh!

  20. Since the owner started this one with the Battlefront link (and everyone is enjoying it) - I would say that you might be overruled. It will likely die out soon enough. If not, then it should be moved (but I say give it some time). Well aware... That's why I said deeper. If it's not ex1 derailing a thread it's Ed Mack! BTW I'm old school (or just old) my fav was the original X-Wing and Tie Fighter games that ran on my old 386-40.

  22. I still play SW BF2 from time to time if I feel like destroying a bunch of rebel scums. I use Imperial Pilot to fly a TIE, sneak in to the rebels' main ship, steal an A-Wing, and use the A-Wing to destroy as many X-Wings & Y-Wings as I can

  28. Materials guide for LEGO selling & shipping Many members have asked for a centralized place where they can go for shipping box information. I'm going to pin this post and update it as new information is provided. I just want to take a few minutes and thank those who wrote the following articles. They are still very good reference materials for the LEGO storage and shipping process. I may develop this into a blog article eventually. Fcbarcelona101's : Selling LEGO : Basic Materials Guide Mos Eisley 's : LEGO Storage Wars Incompetech's Catalog of Amazon.com Box Sizes - (thanks No More Monkeys) Amazon Boxes Sorted list by length - courtesy of pstebbing I've scoured the forums and here is a list of box sizes with basic set information: Boxes: 24x20x8 : Super Star Destroyer; Death Star, Roller Coaster, UCS Sandcrawler, Assembly Square 24x20x6 : Thicker sets like Town Hall, Tower Bridge 24x16x6 - 60052 Cargo Train, R2-D2, Maersk Line Triple-E, 7939 Cargo Train 24x16x4 - Helm's Deep, Vampyre Castle, Black Pearl, Friends Riding Camp, Parisian Restaurant, High Speed Passenger Train, Jabba's Palace, Downtown Diner 24x20x4 : Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, Imperial Shuttle, Haunted House, Palace Cinema, Fire Brigade 24x14x4 : Dolphin Cruiser, Coast Guard Patrol 24x4x12 - Dolphin Cruiser, Coast Guard Patrol 20x16x4 - Volkswagen Camper Van, Olivia's House, Sonic Raider, Sopwith, Creator Bike Shop, Batcave, Quinjet, Moria & Ambush 20x16x6 : Thicker sets like the Republic Gunship; City Cargo Plane 20x14x4 : Attack on Weathertop, Hulk 's Helicarrier Breakout, X-Wing 9493, Black Gate 16x16x4 : Gungan Sub, Pre Viszla, Tie Fighter 16x10x4 : Council of Elrond, Desert Skiff, City Grand Prix Truck 16x10x6 : Thicker sets like Creator Family House, Hillside House 15x12x4 : Funhouse, Orc Forge, Tumbler Chase, Daily Bugle Showdown, Hulk Lab Smash 12x12x4 : Uruk Hai Army, City Cargo Truck, Creator Treehouse, City Fire Emergency 11-3/4x8-3/4x4-3/4 : Wolverine Chopper, Arctic Batman, Power Armor Lex, Droid Escape, Cloud Cuckoo Palace 12x8x3 - Battle Packs, CA Avenging Cycle, Catwoman, Gandalf Arrives, Holiday sets 10x8x4 : Battle Packs, CA Avenging Cycle, Catwoman, Gandalf Arrives, Holiday sets Envelopes: 4x8 : Minifigs & small polybags 6x9 : Polybags small & larger 10.5 x 16 : Larger shipments of 3 x polybags or more Packing Tape : buy in bulk or on sale : you can throw some in during a Staples coupon promotion to get up to free shipping Walmart.com Duck Brand Packaging Tape http://www.staples.com/Staples-Standard-Grade-Packaging-Tape-Clear-189-x-110-yds-6-Rolls/product_380107 Retailers: Uline.com : holiday sale starts first part of November (usually 30% off) Staples.com : use coupon promotions - $10 off $30, $20 off $75, free shipping over $60 Walmart.com USPS Priority Mail (free boxes at USPS.com) Michigan Box Company: Flat Boxes 18"-23" L (thanks pstebbing) GBE Packaging (thanks pstebbing) PackingSupplies.com http://www.packaging...ated_boxes.html (thanks pstebbing) Bubble Wrap: 3/16" thick x 350' ft x 12" wide - eBay Sams Club 3/16" - 12"x240' $12.98 (In store) ($.05/LF) (thanks pstebbing) I like to use large and small retailer plastic bags to wrap items in, even after I bubble wrap it. For battle packs and even small sets, I sometimes use Wal-Mart, Target, or plastic bags from any store. Additional packing isn 't really needed. Usually like 2 bags on bottom, one to wrap the item, and two bags on top. Make sure to cover the corners of the item real nice to provide extra padding. Rule of thumb : ship & pack all of your items the same way you 'd like to receive items you've purchased. 29. 4 sales in the UK alone today - that´s probably better than Lego Shop did when it was still in production! Hopefully some of the QFLL´s have now run out of stock or at least started to get a bit greedier and this thing can get back on the growth curve.

  34. That is not true on all accounts any more. There are 2 different versions on cancellations currently running on eBay. One waits on the buyer. The other just automatically does it . The newer one also got rid of the long list of reasons. It is just seller cancels reason which would cause a defect or the 2nd option is buyer asked to cancel or this is a problem with the buyers address which is not a defect.

  40. To answer your question I feel like the delivery of your product in the quality of the box the thickness the tape the label and how it is packaged and is what defines you as a seller it is the initial presentation to your client for their impression of you as a seller. Therefore you should invest heavily into the presentation. I am not saying bubble wrap and box every item but you should have paper stuffing carefully protect the item place it in a durable box that is new and not used and ship it to your customer. If you do enough volume it will be worth the expense long term and gained sales in my opinion. Box yes paper stuffing yes bubble wrap highly valued items. Hope this helps ...
