  1. I tried my best here. I am NOT a PS expert. I used Paint!
  2. Don't mind at all. I purchased lot from a fellow Brickpicker back in February/March. Consisted of 250+ lbs. He had done some initial sorting, but finishing that and washing all the parts took about a month. I have been ordering parts as I go, inventorying about a dozen sets or so going by theme.(Had over 100 sets in it from 2005-2009 timeframe) Overall, I'm sure I've made minimum wage due to that hours put in sorting, but was able to keep some really cool sets like an Emerald Night, Motorized AT/AT, 7993 Service Station I've wanted for a long time, random figures, etc. etc. Between what I kept and sold/end up selling(have about a dozen left), I'll make a few thousand profit on a few thousand investment. Was hoping to double my money and I'll be darn close to doing it. This takes into account parts ordered, but not time or anything as I don't lose normal income due to working on this. I've kept a spreadsheet just for this lot to see how it goes. I'll also be taking a long break from doing this again as well.
  3. "Americans" come in all shapes, sizes, and types... and personally, I like it when someone politely and professionally explains him/herself. I wouldn't still post here on BP if the mods didn't keep things civil and lite and the patrons didn't show at least a modest amount of respect for each other. For the record, I'm a huge GB fan, but I won't be going big on this for investment. Yet. Lets see what demand actually looks like once it's available and TLG's future for the line. Case in point regarding "civil and lite."
  4. No sale... But since today I have 100* positive feedback on ebay. A milestone!
  5. Mock Tudor House
  6. I was never interested in Ninjago, but they have really ramped up the designs lately. Temple of Airjitsu is gorgeous. And I've been eyeing FFoDB for the last few weeks. This is really well done. It has a dragon, it's a boat. It fits into an Eastern theme. There are a lot of potential wins for this set.
  7. I like big ghosts and I cannot lie.
  8. The ships display very well without the mini figs, it's worth picking up a set of sails for BP. For a long time I had only two sets displayed in my house, QAR and BP. They go together very nicely. For $85 you did well, even without the minifigures.

Yes please. Maybe Lego can give us a 4,000 piece barn. Wait a second...........

To answer your question I feel like the delivery of your product in the quality of the box the thickness the tape the label and how it is packaged and is what defines you as a seller it is the initial presentation to your client for their impression of you as a seller. Therefore you should invest heavily into the presentation. I am not saying bubble wrap and box every item but you should have paper stuffing carefully protect the item place it in a durable box that is new and not used and ship it to your customer. If you do enough volume it will be worth the expense long term and gained sales in my opinion. Box yes paper stuffing yes bubble wrap highly valued items. Hope this helps ...
  11. No dominos pizza box for you?
  12. You really want to send someone a sealed set this way? Have you ever ordered a set online?
  13. I believe the expert would tell you that the Ghostbusters HQ set checks off all the boxes... HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE set....HUGE! Large amount of exclusive minifigures Excellent display piece Excellent play piece Low chance of being reissued Unique...Did I say unique? New movie to stir up interest from young fans...Plus a classic old movie to attract old fans. Can work with other Modulars from the looks of it...Big bonus if it does. Big Box...Big boxes sell! Works with the Ecto-1...Home run!
  14. My uneducated answer is $600 but I have a book with an estimated delivery date of friday written by an expert in this field and i will read it thoroughly and get back to you with an answer:)
  15. There is hidden treasure in this theme.
  16. With one pig, all Spider-Man sets will raise in value. Oh and don't forget the chaos to ensue from Harry Plopper.
  17. Winter Village 2015 vista 5 by Sandro Damiano
  18. Congrats. We all know how much work it was just to get those 100.
  19. Limits work best applied to Brick Bounties, Benny´s Spaceship, SW Ep 1-3 stuff and Exo Suit.
  20. I don't think the GC coupons will stack. ymmv.
  21. Here is the coupon that came in the book my mother got. It's a $10 GC for $50: Closer pic of the UPC: Sorry got smooshed in my car.
  22. That one is lovely, and an unusual colour for Technic.
  23. Good one. So is the Crawler Crane IMO.
  24. Petshop Girls by Charles & Adrienne Esseltine
  25. Available (still) @ Amazon...
  26. That's what I was thinking too. I mean they already have some rights obviously... If they do something in the spirit of the scooby doo theme it might even work. On the other hand the Ghostbuster minifigs would become as unrare as it gets ;-) (Not that LEGO would bother). Still I doubt that they'd bring out a new theme just for the ghostbusters... but I probably wouldn't say no ^.^ AS COLLECTOR that is! For the theme as investment I'd stay carefully sceptical
  27. How many beers have you had tonight?
  28. I honestly think the resale value might be OK because it's a classic FDNY station. Take the GB stuff off of it and the Firebuffs will love it. Those guys are just as diehard as SW fans. I don't care very much for GB at all, but it's a pretty cool fire station. There are huge followings of people with huge lego fire departments and they will love this.
  29. The box is fragile as is so "naked" is a no no ( always is in my book). bubble wrapping and box is a bit of an over kill. Some brown bags and a sturdy box is more than enough .
  30. Well, heck, I'm always up for new ideas.
  31. Brown paper twisted (with the set inside the shipping box) works well. Search for the packaging thread. Very helpful.
  32. Barnes & Noble in the same mall as my closest LEGO B&M had 2 IRs. A few others within a 10-mile radius claim to have some that I have reserved. Got the 10% in store discount on it, too. Box was a bit beat up, but someone still snatched it up on eBay within a couple of hours.
  33. That guy sure has alot of shipping boxes to put together!
  34. Disagreeing is not the problem, the way how a person does is. There is a difference between saying "This is not my thing" to "This is dumb and so are the people who made this garbage". (The gist from that latter statement is one I'm used to reading for every original theme LEGO has released lately between Ninjago to now Nexo Knights from this community.) Internet simply reflects real life only in a digital 'faceless' fashion, these squabbles involving some facet of fandom happen all the time. Perhaps not as much as a discussion of politics, finances, and religion, (three agendas you learn to never talk about if you wish to keep any friends) but still there.
  35. 2 complete sets of 4 Bricktober 2015. (8 units total). $200 shipping included on ebay. Bought by a single German buyer through eBay GSP... I think buyer paid around US$262. I pocketed just over $20 on each set.
  36. Started the PR last night while handing out candy & just finished up. The detail on this is amazing. Of the 4 modulars I have done this is easily the nicest. Pains me to say that as I was determined to keep the GG as my fav but I just can't do it.

This one here really is a HIGHLIGHT! LEGO Erebor (see link: http://lego.gizmodo.com/120-000-piece-lego-erebor-is-twice-the-size-of-a-hobbit-1727100838 ) I can only guess how much bricks and time this must have consumed... The result is stunning! See even more pictures if you click the link ;-) (yes there actually IS an interior!)
  38. I guess a big shipment has come in. Amazon is now reporting that the book will be out next week. Its even on sale now for $16.43 39% off. http://amzn.to/1Hj0gh1 If you didn't pre-order one yet, now would be a good time!!
  39. About 1/3 of the Birds in my stash:
  40. [Scene: Interior. A New York City apartment. There is a knock at the door.] Woman: [speaking through closed door] Yes? Voice: (mumbling) Mrs. Arlsburgerhhh? Woman: Who? Voice: (mumbling) Mrs. Johannesburrrr? Woman: Who is it? Voice: [pause] Flowers. Woman: Flowers for whom? Voice: [long pause] Plumber, ma'am. Woman: I don't need a plumber. You're that clever shark, aren't you? Voice: [pause] Candygram. Woman: Candygram, my foot! You get out of here before I call the police! You're the shark, and you know it! Voice: Wait. I-I'm only a dolphin, ma'am. Woman: A dolphin? Well... Okay. [opens door] [Huge latex and foam-rubber shark head lunges through open door, chomps down on woman's head, and drags her out of the apartment, as Jaws attack music plays.]
