The main Daily Deal thread that has been here for so long is without a doubt dominated by US deals and discounts. Canada pokes in there from time to time and then of course an occasional deal from a European region makes it's way in there. Obviously this does not really work well for non US regions and we want to try and fix this. This thread here will become the go to place to post deals for the UK, European countries and for now, just about anywhere else until we see the need to give a region another thread if it takes off. We completely understand that it would have been futile or intimidating to throw bits of information for German deals in a US dominated thread and we think will allow all of our Non US members to benefit from each other's discount and deal knowledge. We will do our best to get deal alerts in this thread as much as possible. We hope this becomes as successful as the other thread for everyone.12 points

This was the most appropriate thread I could think of to post this, the USPS has posted some rate increase information that is proposed to start January 2016. In short, it's a double digit percentage increase across the board. One thing that stands out is First Class Package rates. Although increasing 12.8%, the weight limit moves from 13oz to 16oz. So there is some good mixed in with the bad (the rate increase). There is a pretty good blog post about it here: http://blog.stamps.com/2015/10/22/usps-announces-postage-rate-increase-starts-january-17-2016/5 points

Can you guys stop arguing about how many five dollar bills you're making or not making? Seriously it's been said about 30 times in this thread and it's annoying. I'm going to start deleting posts that argue about it because they add absolutely ZERO value at this point and I'm not embellishing that!3 points

I think the best deal I actually ever had on LEGO was finding BrickPicker back in 2012. I can't think any deal that was really better than this.3 points

Back several years ago, Chicago Brick Convention: everyone who attended received an evening pass to shop in one of the two Chicago land Lego stores. Everything had some damage to the boxes, a lot to very little. I was one of the 1st ones to draw a early number to get in the store. I picked several goodies, i did miss the death star. Everything was 1/2 price. I grabed a Green Grocer for $75.00, I already had one for our town collection. 2 months ago, on e-bay, it sold for $1,200 plus shipping to Singapore, a good customer of mine. We were both Happy, Happy, Happy!!!3 points

I'm one of those that it isn't "clear" at all that these sets aren't going to retire soon. I know, call me crazy, call me a rookie, etc., but I'm just not sure these aren't done. I have a very modest holding of each compared to some and do plan on selling most for the Christmas frenzy, but I don't think buying anything that includes "LEGO" & "Dinosaurs" as wasting money. This isn't directed at you, but I'm tired of people making generalized statements like " there is plenty of sets that fan be bought right now that will retire this year and can be sold next year." Sure, I bet there are, which ones? My list of active sets shows right at 475. Tell me, which of these 475 are getting ready to retire and should be bought now and sold next year for a better return than RE, RR, TRex, or IRex. I can predict there will be 10 that does so simply because the odds say that at least 2.1% of all active sets will outperform those sets. But who benefits from that? TELL me the sets I should be pouring my money into RIGHT NOW and holding until next year that would be better than pouring the same money into these sets, selling by Christmas, and then buying those same sets you would purchase now in their stead. That would be greatly appreciated.2 points

can't get nothing by you. Heck I can't even email people my address. It **** out my state abbreviation. Apparently thinks I'm writing something derogatory by using the state abbreviation of Georgia. Which by the way is the name of a city in Georgia too of which a cow farmer got denied his license by the government because there system kicked it out too.2 points

$500 on a dudes personal collection. Mostly everything was new without box. Looks like he just threw away the boxes and kept the sets unbuilt unopened. Had old castle, samurai, ninja, Star Wars, Technic, Harry Potter etc. sold 95% of them for well over $3000.2 points

Let's just put this out there... You can kiss it. You are one of the biggest problems on this site as you argue with everyone and backtrack on statement after statement. People here are fed up with you and your bull spit so if you don't like it, you get can get lost. Yes I said that. No I don't like you. I try to be patient but you are being an a**hole to mods and especially to other members. If you want we can arrange for your posts to go through an approval process. Despite what you think this isn't a democracy and Jeff and Ed ask us (the mall cops) to keep up with the threads and right the ship from time to time. If it was up to me if have banned your ass a long time ago for the way you "speak" to everyone here.1 point

Wow, I had no idea. I bought out a guy in Canada a couple weeks ago and received them today. I went with the Lime Green because they were cheap. I just did a quick search on BL, and you're right - no one seems to have any. Check Lego to see if they have any in stock. If not, maybe someone else has a sugggestion as to an alternative part to use?1 point

I try to keep quiet on this guy but he is really clueless. Everything is $5 profit. Nobody is making $5 on any Jurassic world set. Do a Google search on Amazon FBA so you are educated that not everybody sells on ebay. That is so 90's. Here is real world scenario. And I have discussed often how it only costs .50 for shipping. I just sold 12 RE in last 24hrs for 84.97. That is real profit minus my snickers bar I ate.1 point

Just sold all four of mine at $29.99 each (shipped). I don't like wasting my time "making boxes", but I really didn't have anything that would fit this one well, for First Class shipping. So I found a quick mod I could do to a standard 6x6x6 Walmart Duck box ($0.47 ea)... it doesn't take too long and fits perfectly. Weighs just under 11 oz, packed and ready to go. BTW, the UPC on this one is 673419 232074. Not sure if there's any interest but... seems a lot of sellers using canned web images... I took some photos of mine. PayPal me $1, and I'll be glad to email you your own unique photos - 2 images, front and back, 1200 x 1600 pixels, not "professional quality", but better than 90% of eBay photos.1 point
