My son and I completed our bricklink'd Super Star Destroyer. Love the build, and the size is pretty impressive. If I had one gripe, it's that the mini-figs cannot stand up in the faux-bridge they included. To pose them, you have to leave the cover off. To store them in there, they all have to be either sitting or laying down. I substituted a handful of internal parts due to cost, like the yellow right-angle brackets that cost around $5 each. Total cost was under $400 spread out over a few months (to avoid the wife radar), but we still need to buy 2 of the 5 mini-figs. The exercise of finding the parts, maximizing the orders, inventorying and sorting, and then finally building, was a VERY worthwhile and fun project. Almost like an archaeological dig of sorts.

I have been screwing around with him all morning. Making him explain over and over again how to scratch off the silver stuff on the back of the gift cards and if he would accept Applebees gift cards instead.

Whaddaya mean ? It takes 16 seconds to smoosh complete set if you use the custom 16 pockets bag. At some point, someone is going to look back at this thread and think "why did that 1 dude stop doing CMF again?"

There was a child and parent behind me today in the TRU line while checking out (had 2 RR's in my hands) and the kid tells his mother he really wants JW Lego for X-mas. She was like: "well ok, don't you worry Santa will get them" Poor little Timmy, mother probably doesn't even know a shortage is coming! And no i did not take these over letting a kid have them, i left 1 RR on the shelf, and a bajaliion Pterodactyls In other news a local TRU had 2 fresh cases of IR, all 38r5 codes (everything else was still 31-33r5). Did some Bricktober magic on some of em to soften the blow.

I don't know if the backlash from the Winter Toy Shop remake is going to have any effect whatsoever on TLG's future plans, but I will say that Cloud City (in my opinion) is a prime candidate for a remake. This is one set I would absolutely sell now if I had it. I'm not predicting it will be remade, I'm just saying if it is... you heard it here first. You've all been warned

Out going set= please take these items off my hands now so I can use the shelf space for more Star Wars.

My biggest concern with 10188 is that it is going to get the Winter Toy Shop treatment in 2016. New box, a few new pieces, and updated minifigs (maybe a few different). When the info came out we would be getting a new DS for 2016 I assumed it would be a complete redo but now I am not so sure and sadly it would not surprise me in the least if the new model is just 10188 with window dressing. I am not trying to scare anyone off this set as it will bring tremendous returns if it does go this year and if the 2016 DS is completely different. The direction that this company is taking with its products must also be considered though.

There is a top secret board meeting today over whether to redo the box or not. Probably why shop at home is down too.

True, but on the same token, you can also say it's all about your profit margin/remaining stock after you flipped a bunch. Currently, i'm sitting on a bunch of free complete sets thanks to all those "i got to have it right now" collectors. So, if I wanted to I could give these out as halloween candy, and just walk away…... At the current prices, the buy in after fees/shipping costs would have to be almost half of retail to consider it a flip worth doing. I'm cautiously optimistic prices will go back up, but not this year.

We’re not done. Black Friday / Lego double points and poly Asda are likely to have another £10 off £50 / £20 off £100 or similar Argos did do a 3-2 in Nov last year, but they didn’t do one in August, so maybe that's done. Least likely, but it is possible we’ll see another Tesco offer as it’s been weaker this year (1500 for £75 rather than 2000 for £70, or even 2000 for £60 spring 2014 (picked up stacks of 4*76000 for £15per with 2kpoints))

Been moving the $1.49 SW magnets (blow out from LEGO Shop at Home ) in sets of 7 at close to $5/ea. I pad my shipping, so I will be close to 300% after fees. I bought over 100, I wish I had 300 more.

There´s maybe a 1% chance - it´s only just become a non SAH exclusive so give it a chance! Your guy seems to know what he is doing saleswise if he gets restocks every week - here smaller shops are lucky to refill every month. It would be interesting to know if he has a cut off point for ordering this year e.g. end of October as some smaller places do - that could explain wanting to move stuff on to make room.

Even if it is remade, there will be collectors who want the original figs. The Boba Fett is the old grey which Lego will never go back to.

Hello everyone, I am a Grand-Mother and have a Grand-Daughter (age 5) who is totally into the Series Friends. She started collecting the 2012 Series. I think the Dolphin Curser is her favorite. I like the Cafe. I have made her a MOC of it just for her (my first one). She has all of the 2013 series, except the Advent Calender. Putting the Lego together is one of her favorite things to do in the Summer with me. She has some of the 2014 series. She has been waiting for the 2015 Pop Star/ Concert Singers to come out. She has been looking at the Tour Bus and the Dressing Room the most (So Far LOL). Glad I found this site. Since Halloween is coming soon we are collecting the Monster series 14. So Far she has The Pirtate, The Mad Scientist and the Frankenstein minis. I really like the Kat Woman and the Spider Vampire-ess. Glad I found you site.

Greetings, I saw an add on CL for a Cloud city 10123 set that was supposedly complete with open box but sealed bags for $275. I figured this was def a good deal and went to check it out. Come to find out that yes it was an opened box and yes the bags were sealed except #1 which had all the mini figs removed. The box is a bit beat but the instructions and poly bags seemed in good shape. Because the minifigs weren't there I really had no interest until the guy asked what I was willing to offer for it. I tossed out a low number just cus I really didn't want it. So now I own this set that I paid $25 for and am curious what to do with it. Should I try and find the figs to make it complete or sell it as is. What is this set worth in the condition its in? Thanx guys

Have spent the last 18 months slowly ordering parts when I had extra money in the pp. Finally finished it today, no substitutions. Never built a modular before, it's really much nicer than I expected. Was thinking I would sell it but maybe not...
