  1. WM has enough to make this one
  2. Haha my wife just called me sad, for knowing that. One day she'll understand... one day

  4. TRU employee!? Hysterical! I can't even get two employees to come up with the same total...
  5. Oh yes it does. It means that prices on amazon be

Got my Niko-Tumbler. Minty fresh with the scent of hair care. Should order more from him.

I missed out on the HH for myself last year, was able to pickup 5 at the time but just got a used one on eBay for $325 which I think was ok considering.
  8. This is hit or miss. I've had the same TRU give me both coupons and price match, then two days later refuse to give both (one or the other) and then a week later give both again. Just depends on the store, the managers and how the cashiers are trained (or not trained). Whether my stacking works or not I am always polite, I never complain, and I act apologetic and friendly when my tactics don't work. I hope everyone does the same.
  9. TRU now has the 75053 Ghost at $71.99. Stack a 20% coupon with 10% TRUSA (that's TRUTH on Saturdays), and it comes to $51.83 (+ tax). 42% off. That's the best price I've seen all year.
  10. They can also be found wrapped around newspapers.
  11. So I heard you like helicopters....
  12. exciter1 posted this a day or two ago - there are 3 per set and TRU has them available
  13. For lack of a better place at the moment, here's a post about the fallout from this "discovery" .. http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/comment/381034/#Comment_381034 Warning, there is a LOT of potential set names revealed. If you don't like spoilers, don't go!
  14. Look at the bright side... You don't live in Quebec. /kidding
  15. To be Frank, the white gives me indigestion but the black one looks like it will be edible.
  16. The piece count could work. The set could be highly detailed and finished on all four sides, unlike the Modulars. It could also have a super detailed interior. I would love to see it, but I have to wonder if there are not better models to invest 4600 pieces into.
  17. Hope for the best but prepare for the wurst.

My 4 cases of series 14 from indigo arrived this morning. Extremely fast shipping from Canada. I ordered these two days ago. All four cases are still sealed. They didn't even open the lego cardboard box they came in. The packing slips were all inserted into their own plastic envelope and stuck to the outside of the shipping carton. I am extremely happy with this company, and the price on these can't be beat.
  19. Just found a nice little bonus after sorting this lot
  20. My partner is taking a six month sabbatical (she's a prof) and we're going to Perpignan France for 6.5 months. Was going to post about it closer to as we don't officially have our French visas yet. France isn't part of the British commonwealth so it's a ton of stupid paperwork!
  21. Now "Sold Out" at US LEGO Shop at Home. Of course, we now know "Sold Out" means NOTHING.
  22. Guest
ok, you are the one order loose bags and that is why gregpj did not get a sealed case
  23. I finally got a used fire brigade for $175 plus shipping on eBay :)
  24. Well, fantastic news. After all this talk with not only here, but the wife and everything, I just received notification from lego that I'm a winner. My only assumption is someone had won and didn't respond in time and so they moved on. I'm so damn stoked. I can't wait to receive my shipping notification.
  25. I'll actually be kinda annoyed if they make this. Of all the popular licenses Lego has access to, they choose Ghostbusters to make a 4600 piece set?
  26. funny how lego IDEAS downed the project and now are making it themselves NOT to pay the original designer royalty fees... same with helicarrier
  27. Just finished my third modular and second via bricklink. Spent a hair over $400 on it. Could have been cheaper but I stayed pretty true to the original except for the third floor windows. The front door, dark blue posts next to the doors, blue shirt minifig, and skis over the door were the priciest. I did end up with some extra doors so I can sell them to get it under $400... or do another one...
  28. Thirsty, I'm not trying to call you out but, this post is a perfect example of why anyone thinking about getting into this needs to sell a few items BEFORE they wind up with a portfolio worth $70k. Buying is easy, finding deals is a thrill. Selling, no matter what platform you're on is hard. Anyone doing this needs to know that. Good luck, I've sold on eBay for over a decade and am, for the most part, happy with it.
  29. Yeah, but after fees and shipping there is no skin left on the sausage.

    Maybe the 3 from 20010...
  31. need to check if they are the same size. might not be according to brickset. bricklink still doesnt have the parts list. however. it might be the one from the 10226 Sopwith Camel set... looks like they come in 3 sizes at least (4x4 which is Poe's size). one from the x-wing sets... Rubber Belt Small (Round Cross Section) - Approx. 2 x 2 http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=x71&idColor=1#T=C&C=1 brickset link. http://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-70904
  32. Man, I wish I could find a newspaper in this town.
  33. For those who don't like the blue rubber-bands (like me), i suggest using the white ones found in other sets such as the previous X-Wings.
  34. Part of me belives this because of the person who leaked it but most of me calls BS because of the piece count and price. Do you really think TLG is gonna drop the 3rd largest Lego set EVER in an area that doesn't even have a theme? I don't.
  35. Price guide is consuming outliers that are throwing it off. There are a couple of bulk lots that have sold for a lot, and that's what makes the price look high. If you look at BL and eBay themselves, individuals are going for $5-$10 right now.
  36. just2good is a member here, maybe they'll come by and post more. There's no way they re-release the Fire Brigade and slap a Ghostbusters logo on it. This will be more like Haunted House IMO - standalone but you could add into a modular lineup if you make a few modifications.
  37. You forgot the step where he does the okey pokie and he turns himself around. In all seriousness, I have a lot of respect for those who take full advantage of stacking these discounts. I have never had the time or patience to apply it fully. My discounts are of the common sale price, coupon, credit promo stack variety. Thank you for outlining the process in such detail.
  38. I hope this is not a fire brigade remake. With added pieces like the winter toy shop. We wait all year for the new winter theme set and its a remake. We wait all year for the next modular and boom they do it again. Fingers crossed that it's really ghostbusters.
  39. Well there are two people behind the scenes working very hard at getting the 'investing' word out to everyone. We've had the Telegraph article, followed by the Mirror article, soon they'll be the book. All we need next is a weekly podcast and a Youtube channel just to ensure no stone is left unturned.
  40. ...and I'm the opposite. Watched the movies in the theater, was starting Jr. High when the cartoon was on.

That great. The community could benefit from that list. Where is it and can we secure a permanent location for it to be updated on brickpicker? Can you post a copy of the most recent please.
  42. There is absolutely nothing wrong with paying MSRP, don't let anyone here tell you otherwise.

My used Ewok Village sans minifigs arrived last week. Sorted the pieces over the course of the week then built up the village on Friday night. It lasted less than 24 hours where I dismantled it and put the purchase to it's real purpose. Saw this in the MOCs thread a couple months back and fell in love with it, had to have one. I present my personal edition of the 10236 UCS Lord of the Rings Ent!
  44. Even the sun shines on a dog's butt some days....picked up a Very Good Town Hall out of the Warehouse for $236. Not sure how they calculated their price for this, I think it may have been an FBA item from the stickers on it, but it made it an easy decision to buy. The box was rough, but I was only hoping for sealed bags. They were all included and sealed.
