Here's an article that contains the first look of the cast from the new STAR WARS: Rogue One. After reading the article, it made me think that we will see Darth Vader again...and the old X-Wing...and the Death Star...and the Imperial Star Destroyer...and the Super Star Destroyer...and the...9 points

Something a certain someone said to me the other day got me thinking perhaps we could use a topic for showcasing all the sorts of MOCs inspired by or based on the many architectural styles in the known world. Now this isn't meant just for builds similar to the official Architecture line but rather all of them regardless of scale. Honestly this thread sounds more like Tom Alphin's area of expertise (the author of The LEGO Architect). Anyway here are some fan designs I came across. There really are a lot of Modern houses out there. Ha. Modern Town House Modern Modular Furnished Beachfront House Creator Modern House Ishoj House box N modular studio The Cubic House Build Your Dream Home - Modern Home In celebration of HM69TH. You're not entitled to QFLL - it was not quick enough. You have to just stick to RS (Reseller Scum) rank for now4 points

New/sealed 4840 Harry Potter The Burrow for $215 shipped. Ebay. I bought this last Sunday from a lady off of my local craigs for $80. Does this qualify me as a QFLL?4 points

Cant go friday most likely but will hopefully be thereat opening saturday. The nametag is a good idea. I was thinking of outing myself in a ridiculous way, maybe something along the lines of being overly loud and belligerent about the lack of harry potter sets or complaining loudly about how much space my 90 deathstars take up after i thought it was retired and asking about their return policy. I believe deeply in the george carlin method of keeping people on their toes.3 points

Open up the door, get on the floor! Everyone walk the dinosaur! I haven't seen anyone beat the classic record of thirteen yet. That felt like Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray.3 points

I used my Exo purchases to also get several free Mini Cooper Polybags. This alone makes Exo a non-loser set for me.3 points

So i think i found the reason why my local WM's have had terrible stock recently... Looks like they did a complete overhaul of the LEGO section and probably held back a lot of stock in warehouses until the reset was done. Very TRU-esque, i like it! (pics below for any interested). Not sure if this will happen to all WM's, but this was one fairly far out from the GTA and not a very busy area, so i'd think more would get this treatment. First time ever seeing the JW sets in store, no spot for RE though, fingers crossed! For those interested i also found some of the wave 2/3 Jurassic World toys, so these might be showing up at WM's across Canada (S&S Rex, Dilo/Cerata, the die cast models, and the chompers) Grabbed the die cast JP Jeep3 points

Agreed - I recently landed a Used Eiffel Tower with instructions and box. Built it, listed it for $1,050, and sold it in less than 18 hours. Easy as pie.3 points

Counterfeits do hurt, but having the whole play set with the vehicle is much nicer than just minifigs. The difference is that the price is driven by adults- AFOL's needing that drab boring looking town hall ( hating cuz I don't have any) to complete their cities that they have created.2 points

Currently 15% and more on most/all LEGO. + code LEGOSAVE10 to get 10$ off a 50% purchase. I ordered the T-rex tracker for myself, because I also save an additional 10% on taxes because I'm in Quebec.2 points

Bought another ToO today. It was still there in the shop. So if no one else bites I will have to take up the heavy task and decided to buy it. Later if they want it they can buy it from me with a premium. So they learn to clean the shelves before I change my mind.2 points

As long as you shipped to the only address he provided (since there's no such message for 2nd address), you are good. Well, given that if you printed the shipping label through eBay. Otherwise, you have to prove the shipping address, I assume. Give eBay CS a call, they will side with you and deal with whatever feedback the buyer may leave.2 points

"Suggestive" that you're looking for minifigs? I can't imagine what that looks like, but part of me really wants to know.2 points

For me the chance of this becoming a surprise investment winner was big enough to get at least 5 of them when retirement clouds got darker (around March) and double VIP was running. Since I did miss out on HH completely, I didnt want to risk the same again even if forecasts for the Tower's potential were less enthusiastic.1 point

If LEGO ever revisits classic space, I could see this set picking up. But, that's unlikely.1 point

Apparently there's a new TRU code for $10 off $50. I haven't tested it yet, but CPLXBDAY10 has been working for some. Have the weekly 20% off TRU LEGO sales ended? I haven't been able to find any sales there for a few weeks.1 point

the only reason this set wasn't a big seller is because people were buying SSD and 9493. both of those are gone. this set will do just fine. this isn't just a remake of an x-wing UCS its the UCS of the ship that blows up the death star. we will probably never see another UCS RED 5 X-WING. it was 13 years between the first UCS X-wing and Red 5 releases. we'll see an Episode VII UCS X-wing before another OT one. so we're out to 2022 by conservative estimates. i'm up to 20 Red5 and will buy as many as I can without having to get off my a$$. i am starting to doubt that this will retire in 2015.1 point

think its the opposite, they are updating the catalog to the "eternity" collection1 point

I never thought R2 was as big of a seller as it should have been (until the retirement dance that is). And I think that had a lot to do with it's price point. If Lego were to release an 'Ideas' sized R2 set (600 or so pieces, $60 price point) it would sell like crazy.1 point

Sooo the Target sale ends today, anyone stock up on the Ewok Villages, TIE or Tumbler?1 point

I'm aware of my own shortcomings in set picking. That's why I bought 15 10225 instead of zero. I would seriously rather have a whole fleet of Chima fire bikes than one assembled 10225 (for display, or especially to play with). But I'm not my market. The people who are best at this are probably those who are AFOL's themselves. I like Lego and owned a couple hundred dollars worth of classic space sets as a kid, but I can't see spending $360 on a 1-foot tall plastic statue of R2. On the other hand, when I mentioned this to a friend the other day, he pointed out that I've spent far more than that on Magic cards, and they're just little pieces of cardboard with pictures on them. Touché.1 point
