  1. I decided to stop by a Goodwill store on my way to dinner and as I walk through the door, right on front on top of a glass case was a UCS Slave 1. Price was $99. I was able to open the box and verify all the bags were there (and sealed) so I picked it up. I got a 10% off discount so got it for $96 after tax, Afterwards I went to a Lego store (also on the way to dinner) and stumbled upon the whole JW line. Picked up 5 Raptor Rescapes. I consider this trip a success
  2. You guys thinking of selling your Batman Ayslums will be sorry, don't worry they will be $400 and up, so don't Crack you will make good money on them. Ed
  3. Even if the Ewok Village does retire end of the year, why sell it to make $50-100 just wait it will be a $500 set or so, just like people saying the Batman Ayslum is a dud, another bad move to sell them early to make a few bucks, don't worry the prices on both of these will rise, thats why I say alt least 75% of people crack and can't wait. I have 30 EV, and 33 AA, and glad I have all of them. Ed
  4. I have no idea where this would go, so feel free to move (or remove). From another site... Quote Seasonal set news! Holiday vignettes (like the Valentine's and Easter sets) Halloween: Kid trick or treating, dressed as a witch, there's a stoop and a front door with a skeleton answering it. Thanksgiving: Restaurant scene - chef wheeling out a full turkey on a cart, pie underneath it, there's a table with a woman sitting at it ready to be served. Christmas 1: Kids building a snowman outside a snowy front porch Christmas 2: "Santa's Visit" fireplace, tree, presents 2015 Holiday Promo sets First is a train, looks like a Christmas version of the Emerald Express. Second is a gingerbread house. Apparently looks amazing.
  5. Surprise points came out this morning. I noticed I got a $30 off $30 that works with Lego. First time I've seen it. It's unbelievable how many points they've given away over the last few months. I feel like I'm on a gravy train with biscuit wheels!
  6. I thought this might be a good topic for some of us and maybe we can keep a running list. Here are some of the new sets that are not marked "Hot Buy" or appear to work with coupons. This will at least give us a place to discuss them. Ant-Man Final Battle Jurassic World - Dilophosaurus Ambush Jurassic World - Pteranodon Capture Jurassic World - Raptor Rampage Scooby-Doo Mummy Museum Mystery Super Heroes - Carnage's SHIELD Sky Attack Super Heroes - Rhino and Sandman Super Villain Super Heroes - The Batboat Harbour Pursuit Super Heroes - Captain America vs. Hydra Creator - Changing Seasons Creator - Adventure Vehicles Friends - Pop Star Recording Studio Friends - Emma's Tourist Kiosk Friends - Pop Star Dressing Room Friends - Heartlake Skate Park Friends - Heartlake Private Jet City - Space Training Jet Transporter City - Deep Sea Submarine City: Mobile Police Unit City: Pickup Tow Truck City: Excavator and Truck City: 4x4 with Powerboat City: Dune Buggy Trailer City: Service Truck City: Arctic Snowmobile City: Starter Set City: Snowplow Truck City: Arctic Outpost City: Square Ninjago - Blaster Bike Ninjago - Ronin R.E.X. 7. I think Target needs a uline catalog. Lets play find the modular. And yes there's only one in the box. Had a Big Ben handy to help w scale. Waiting on my dinner to cook and just for kicks counted the air pillows. 104! 104 freakin air pillows!
  8. I've had this exact situation recently and quoted my return policy (2 weeks), but also said that I would make an exception and replace or refund the product in full if the buyer returned the item. Buyer responded and thanked me for my excellent service and said he changed his mind and would keep the item after all. I believe most people are reasonable - it's the scammers that make our lives difficult.
  9. A little MOC to inspire you to display this series. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79162
  10. If we stopped it would eliminate half the posts on brickpicker
  11. Patience is advised with this set. People will look back 3-4 years from now and see that it is $500-600 and wish they had a few. Quality set. People need to stop micromanaging and give sets like this some time to increase. I hear the Town Hall is a loser too...
  12. I'm a firm believer in the "any Lego set can be profitable when your buy-in is at 75% off or better"
  13. Sold my first BARC Speeder w/ Sidecar today for $49 shipped. I grabbed a couple handfuls when they were ~$17 on clearance last winter. With Captain Rex in this season of Rebels, I might be able to squeeze a little more from these.
  14. Before the list of sets was taken down from the Amazon site, I did notice a full selection of more vehicles (around six or so) for this Toys R Us exclusive theme. A couple of which are supposed to be a Mustang and then somewhere is a Camaro. I should have realized what had happened was going to happen and make a copy for later reference but no use crying over spilled milk. Well if they are to continue the racing form tradition in the prior wave with this one, I imagine all will be based on modern models. Never mind, I just found a copy of the list. Here are the Speed Champions for 2016 everybody! 75870 - Chevrolet Corvette Z06 = 14.99 €75871 - Ford Mustang GT = 14.99 €75872 - Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro = 14.99 €75874 - Chevrolet Camaro = 34.99 €75875 - Ford F-150 Raptor = 49.99 €
  15. 76001 batman Tumbler Chase - $60 shipped on ebay
  16. So I went the white boy way of slinging crack-rock: I became a stock broker.
  17. Yes AA is crappy piece of ****. Do you think anyone would sell me their MISB AAs if I start offering to buy them for MSRP ???
  18. There was only SOLD OUT and no "we're making more" for Tower Of Orthanc for a few weeks and then it came back to orderable yesterday. These statuses mean almost nothing.
  19. Raptor Escape has moved to "call to check product availability". Usually when it hits this status, it seems retirement is imminent. --------- Well disregard... it moved back to sold out. Which status is it lego?
  20. I'm going with the Chrysler Building for New York. There are a lot of pictures of Adam Reed Tucker working on sets in the other various architecture sets and in articles - and there is a nice looking Chrysler Building design in the background that looks like it could fit that price point. Side note - another Burj Kahlifa is stupid. IMO the first one is by far one the worst builds and designs in the entire architecture line - and I say this as I stare at it on my shelf next to my UN building and Sydney Opera House - man it's lame. If they do another Dubai based set, I would hope it's the Burj Al Arab, by far on the most appealing buildings in that city. There was a nice MOC posted in Lego Ideas of it - but it never got a lot of votes and the time expired.
  21. nice work! I've sold 3 of my 4 city cargo trucks from that 75% off sale for $30 each locally, my buyin after surprise points was a little over $5 each
  22. 5 x Hero Factory: 44009 Dragon Bolt - $32 each on Amazon Picked them up for $4.25 each at KMart 2 weeks ago during 75% off clearance toys. I'm still a fan of Hero Factory clearance.

I have a feeling that there will be a deluge of chip disks available cheap for people who just want to play the game. I think that some people will buy some of these expansion sets just to sell the minifigures, and try to make a small amount to the gamers by selling just those RFID disks
  24. This is a set one would find most difficult to part with in my opinion. You would have to pry it from my cold dead hands ....and I don't mean that figuratively.
  25. Keep them out of sight... it helps fight the urge I am also worried that I will wake up one day to my kids going on a rampage and just opening stuff too!
  26. Picked up an Ender Dragon, Friends Lighthouse, and Batman Riddler Chase for 86 and change out the door at Shopko.
  27. 4433 Dirt Bike Transporter for $38 9449 Ultra Sonic Raider $107 - local pick up on eBay, so no shipping cost on that.
  28. Quick flipped a Harry Potter Quidditch Match I found on Criagslist for $20 - sold for $59 (including shipping). My first Craigslist find & flip! Picking up a complete Queen Anne's Revenge with box this weekend for $165. That one I'm going to have to build before letting go of it.

Makes me feel better about dropping almost $1300 on 5 of them from target last week. I hope I can sell for huge profits for christmas
  30. Well, if paid for with Paypal, under the new rules you are obligated for up to 180 days (6 months) from the payment date, so you don't really have much choice but to fulfill any service & support request for half a year or just deal with the despute/claim process under the buyer's terms and/or honesty.
  31. Picked up a kijiji deal yesterday. Deal I wish I did not make LOL. Newbie lesson here, thought I rant a bit. Deal was for 75lbs of bulk Lego, no boxes or instructions, no mini figs. I am embarassed to reveal what I paid, $350 CAD. turned out there were over 5lbs of Megablocks, 10lbs of Lego that have been painted! Seriously, who paints Lego??????? The time I have spent sorting, and will spend on cleaning is making this a big regret. Anyone want to buy 60lbs of Lego? haha. Rant over. thanks for reading.
  32. It's a nice scale Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider, probably 2. I've already built two classic Vipers. I replaced the cockpit canopy with the grey version from the X-Wing 9493. The Cylon Raider is supposed to be huge, so I'm curious what it looks like once built.
  33. Some people believe that "Winter Toy Shop" is a placeholder.
  34. I would have loved James T. but Picard does it for me too so... thanks.
  35. Good man. I ended up finding the list through a different source and added to the main post probably just as you made this reply but still I thank you.
  36. Well, lego.com is looking bleak lately. Even Pteranodon Capture is now OOS will ship in 30 days. The only set still in stock is Dilophosaurus Ambush, and the rest are way out on ship dates. The two times this month most of these sets were in stock, they were only in stock for a few hours. Just because there is space, doesn't mean it's exactly making a comeback. So, i'm skeptical. My TRU manager is absolutely clueless when it comes to lego, and I don't even know how she has a job half the times.. Unless, you heard directly from them that they are coming in on a truck at a certain date, then i'd be a believer. However, even on walmart.com there is no sign of a corporate wide ship date on any of these. Lego.com in the EU did have a minor restock this week, but each set only got about 200 new ones in inventory. Nothing that i'd call substantial. ----- The biggest tear jerker in that photo isn't JW, but that Hobbit Dol Guldur Battle's are still sitting taking up space in your TRU too. Will this set ever go away?
  37. Went to a toystore today to buy a policecar for my son. After finding what I was looking for I went to check the lego aisle. And at the lego aisle I found:
  38. Sorry, saw this after I had already created a post. Sorry for the duplicate.... but here is mine...... http://mocpages.com/moc.php/416912
  39. So my bricklink store has been relatively inactive (and I haven't really been building much either) because I have been busy moving my family and building a new shed to store my MOCs and investments. My shed is finally done.... my own personal building and storing LEGO shed. I am including some pics here but interested parties should visit my mocpages for more information and about our move. I have documented the procedures used for a very successful move of merchandise and my personal MOCs. http://mocpages.com/moc.php/416912 Moving LEGO investments and MOCs is a headache, and I have done it more than once. But I have learned valuable information in the process. If anyone needs to move their collection or their creations.... check out the whole post for more information that perhaps will make your move less stressful!!

  41. With all these Panic Buying, Lego must be laughing their Danish Asses to the Bank.
  42. People always want something for nothing. I don't do "what is your best price?" or any of that rubbish. I sell at the price I want or else it goes back into the cupboard until I try again. The sense of entitlement is disgusting but then some of these people haggle store managers for every last cent reduced
  43. My opinion isn't as popular because at this point in the game I would suggest that people buy less of everything. And not because I want it for myself. I'm taking my own advice.
  44. Ahhh, the continuous we matter that much debate. Look at annual sales, then look at total brickfolio values. Do the standard division. We are not that important. Lego only cares about their brand image and managing that. Global companies that are multi billion dollar firms don't care about peanuts. They care about global objectives. I believe they have moved closer but not exactly to a JIT inventory system, due to scope and size it makes sense as well as fabricates rarity and demand.
  45. Those stickers come off easily with a hair dryer and a little patience. I have yet to ruin a box using this method.
