  1. Picked up some take-out tonight. They are already running some kind of cross-promotion with restaurants...
  2. Today I found only one set, (not as many as LabFreak7) but I been looking for it for quite a while.... $150.00 100% complete, all minifigures, box and manuals.... Behold !!! My precious !!
  3. It took me 3 days to build this thing, but the result is magnificent.
  4. Got it all home! Probably just an ok deal but I'm happy. The sets were never played with, all just built and displayed. Having them all built and separated already is a huge plus. The black pearl is minty fresh. All manuals accounted for too.
  5. Best lunch hour ever.. Got a GE, FB, f1 Ferrari, 4x4 extreme off-roader, mind storms nxt 2.0, and a few smaller technic vehicles like an incomplete 8263. All used lot- for $120 There was an estate sale near my job, and although I thought everything worth buying would be gone in the first 10 minutes/ to my surprise this stuff was still there. Now I always read posts like this with a little jealousy, since I am rarely this lucky, but it also is cool to find out what others are encountering out there- so this was my little story. All the sets were already built so this should be a relatively easy flip.

I got one of these today in place of 10 polybags. Worthless!
  7. 5 points
got the solo 75916 for a poly today as well also a padded envelope with 2 polys
  8. 4 points
Can you please pick up the 3 pcs of paper off the carpet and take another photo.
  9. 3 points
next up for 3 polys are these gems. Now we are not even on LEGO products anymore, just random things with Jurassic World thrown in. I can see how easy these are to confuse
  10. Bought a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine and FINALLY, 4 Joker Bumper Car polys!
  11. 2 points
I got 35 of those...CS claims that's not even in their database...

You may notice this thread has been moved to the new LEGO Gaming forum.
  13. I think it is more the stores are not restocking, than interest in the current sets. LEGO is going to clean house and replace almost all of the current regular STAR WARS sets (with the exception of Rebels/UCS). Because of the new movie(s), the typical production runs for STAR WARS sets may not apply. Some of the current STAR WARS sets might be gone after a year or so there might be some opportunities to make some quick money on flipping short run sets. I can't see LEGO or retailers keeping old, unrelated sets on the shelves.

You are wading through a thick pool of sarcasm. If you'd like to see what people are selling subscribe to this thread. Here is justapilgrim's ebay store
  15. sometimes it seems like wild gorillas are the ones handling/delivering/stomping the packages.
  16. FYI all, TRU stores in the Northwest have not restocked their Lonely Mountain sets for over 2 weeks now. If you have them in your area this might be the time to grab them. I purchased them for: $139.99-25%coupon= $104.99-10%TRUTH= $94.49-13% raise TRU GC= ~$82.20
  17. So the Bricklink price on this fig is simply staggering. Was there a shortage of these exclusive dvd sets in the US? Or worldwide? I have a few put aside but was absolutely astounded at the pricing (yes these are in Australia dollars but still...)
  18. 75095 Tie Fighter. Great build and display piece.

dang you guys, I had to go count all my Gallimimus traps now
  20. 2 points
Got my JW poly order perfectly. Also my two UCS Vader Tie I purchased came in and look sweet.

yes - i think you should definitely sell all your 4 PS @ MSRP and get off this ride.
  22. Materials guide for LEGO selling & shipping Many members have asked for a centralized place where they can go for shipping box information. I'm going to pin this post and update it as new information is provided. I just want to take a few minutes and thank those who wrote the following articles. They are still very good reference materials for the LEGO storage and shipping process. I may develop this into a blog article eventually. For battle packs and even small sets, I sometimes use Wal-Mart, Target, or plastic bags from any store. Additional packing isn 't really needed. 23. New Lego Gaming forum has been set up: http://community.brickpicker.com/forum/110-lego-gaming/
  24. Not really sure if there is a "best place". Just post him on any of the marketplaces to see who might be looking for something specific like this.
  25. Ed, welcome to the dark side..
  26. Yeah Asda / George is part of Wal-Mart, got quite a few of 79017 & 79016 @ 50% off. They also had 79018 @ £50 but missed out on that one.
  27. I was lucky enough to pickup another 4 at £97.99 in my area, seems like they've pretty much gone oos everywhere in the UK now. I also snagged a few AT-AT'S and Star Destroyers for cheap. Was a good morning
  28. Yeah that`s pretty insane, I don`t honestly remember seeing these available here in Canada, though I probably just missed them. Sure makes the $20-$25 Blu Ray combo seem like a heck of a deal now, doesn`t it? You have a few you say? Did you pick them up at retail in AUS?
  29. Red Five Argos – reserve and collect 3-4 days, £97.99. I’m assuming stock, so keep it under your hat, as soon as the hotdeals guys get hold of it, it will evaporate. There are a couple of other large SW sets with (probable) pricing errors. Order for collection on most, but there are a few in stores, which you may be able to pick up today. I suspect that any orders will be cancelled. But take a look in your local stores if you can get there today. 75054 AT-AT £58 and 75055 ISD £69 They're up on hotdeals now, so unlikely to last long.
  30. You're new around here so maybe you've just never read far enough back.... But Alpinemaps was just kidding around with you based on some older threads about the LEGO ban hammer. Multiple people over the years who have been reselling LEGO on eBay have had their eBay account linked with their LEGO VIP account. For that reason, most people around here choose not to publicly share their eBay store name unless it is sufficiently different from their Brickpicker name and or VIP account name. These forums are where people share what they sell, selling experiences and what hot or not. Welcome young Jedi.
  31. It's just highly competitive here. Either resellers swoop in and grab it within 15 minutes of posting, call and offer more than an agreed upon price with someone else, or things are overpriced.
  32. I think you did pretty well. Either I'm not good at looking or the Southern California CL is a joke. The lot you bought would have gone for $800 here and would have been listed for $1,200. People inflate things here. Kudos on the Black Pearl.

Sorry, 2 different SKUs. 36 pieces.

Is Gallimimus Greek for mystery box?
  35. 1 point
No sweat. I'm making a big MOC Ice Claw Mech to raid the closest TRU.
  36. 1 point
That wasnt how I packaged them up. ;)
  37. Maybe people are just anxious because they have many of these and they are taking up valuable shelf space. Not me of course.
  38. There's some serious overreaction going on in here. Last year they fired up the presses for another batch of GEs in September so I don't know why people are soiling themselves over PS not vanishing in July.
  39. Whoa, did not see this coming. Gorgeous looking set. Easily the best Ninjago set to date. Also, it`s great that Lego has gone all out with this, rather then come in at a lower price point with less parts/details. That would have been horrible, there is definitely something to be said about a large scale set like this. Easily one of the best sets they have released in recent memory, and the minifigures (12 in total!!!!) really top it off. Well done Lego!
  40. Wow, this is a beautifully done set. It may fly under the radar for AFOLs because its Ninjago but it has modular scale implications. Impressive display, details, and 'curb appeal'. I see parallels to this set and how the HH was reacted to being ONLY a Monster Fighters offshoot.
  41. For some reason the decent deals which have appeared on Argos.co.uk today, like the cargo train and the Snowspeeder haven't been replicated on Argos.ie, usually the deals are pretty similar, pity.
  42. The Ferris Wheel and Mixer are not modulars.
  43. My approach was to get the different bump codes and then smoosh from the comfort of my own home. Then I went back and searched for the 4-5 I was still missing. I hope you did not open all of those because that is a bad haul.
  44. To identify the minifigures I want I take my smartphone of table with me and have the photo with all minifigures in the screen while I smoosh. Fastest way to start comparing without having to buy one just to see the pamphlet.
  45. And thus another smoosher is born. Welcome to the cult, er, club! ....One of us. One of us.
