Best lunch hour ever.. Got a GE, FB, f1 Ferrari, 4x4 extreme off-roader, mind storms nxt 2.0, and a few smaller technic vehicles like an incomplete 8263. All used lot- for $120 There was an estate sale near my job, and although I thought everything worth buying would be gone in the first 10 minutes/ to my surprise this stuff was still there. Now I always read posts like this with a little jealousy, since I am rarely this lucky, but it also is cool to find out what others are encountering out there- so this was my little story. All the sets were already built so this should be a relatively easy flip.6 points

I think it is more the stores are not restocking, than interest in the current sets. LEGO is going to clean house and replace almost all of the current regular STAR WARS sets (with the exception of Rebels/UCS). Because of the new movie(s), the typical production runs for STAR WARS sets may not apply. Some of the current STAR WARS sets might be gone after a year or so there might be some opportunities to make some quick money on flipping short run sets. I can't see LEGO or retailers keeping old, unrelated sets on the shelves.2 points

You are wading through a thick pool of sarcasm. If you'd like to see what people are selling subscribe to this thread. Here is justapilgrim's ebay store2 points

sometimes it seems like wild gorillas are the ones handling/delivering/stomping the packages.2 points

FYI all, TRU stores in the Northwest have not restocked their Lonely Mountain sets for over 2 weeks now. If you have them in your area this might be the time to grab them. I purchased them for: $139.99-25%coupon= $104.99-10%TRUTH= $94.49-13% raise TRU GC= ~$82.202 points

Is anyone watching Star Wars: Droid Tales? It's done all cutesy, like Yoda Chronicles, but it is already possibly my favorite show ever. In the first five minutes of the first episode, it lampoons George Lucas for substituting the Anakin image rather than old Darth, puts the other characters to sleep with how boring the Trade Federation and taxation issues were in Phantom Menace, then - best of all - a star destroyer blasts Jar Jar. Twice. Ah, who doesn't love the smell of singed Gungan?1 point

As long as the product itself is well packaged and arrives in good condition I doubt anyone really cares about the shipping box. Is it more "professional" to use a new, fresh, box ? Sure. But again as long as adequately pack your set , you should be fine1 point

I can beat you all and I'll provide a pic later. Got one from toysrus in a box today and I opened to find Jurassic world 75916. I feel sort of lucky. 30 dollar set for 3.991 point

Or in an actually box not a plastic bag. I wouldn't expect a single battle pack to come in a box. Most likely a plastic bag.1 point

The Pet Shop is boring, so go with the Detective's Office There are times when leaving parts built is a lot more convenient. I kept some of the repetitive builds on the top of my used SSD instead of breaking up hundreds of 1x1 tiles and plates, building each once was enough.1 point

If you want to build it: $220 option (obviously) To invest (hold): Perhaps in this case you can buy the $220 version (sell) and then take your profits and use them to purchase a MISB. This would take into account that you want to store & hold this set and not build it. Best price on ebay is 230 used + S/H (auction). fyi. MISB fetches better returns.1 point

The coupon does say "regular-priced item" and I would think Star Wars sets at 20% off are not regular-priced by definition (though with the TRU markup, they aren't exactly regulary-priced, either!).1 point

I just sold that yellow semi, and one of the creator houses for $50/each used, so there is $100 back right there (ebay), the combine and airplane are an easy $50 each also, with just those 4 + black pearl you are in the black1 point

I can one up that. Last order had 10 Ninjago ones instead Trade them for your Chima Claws. Those are actually decent.1 point

Just as I told the crowds on Brickset, take away the figs and you have a Creator Expert Oriental scene. The Ninjago labeling is misleading about its merits and target age group if you don't inspect it carefully. I own 0 sets from the theme, however this is a 100% buy for me.1 point

Pet Shop's 'on schedule' retirement would be at the end of this year, not the beginning of July. It's a bit early for all the 'It'll never retire!' talk. Just sayin'.1 point

This could be the haunted house for Ninjago, where it stands by itself in terms of potential Vs the other Ninjago sets.1 point

That is a great space saving tactic don't listen to the naysayers. You do your own thing. On a completely unrelated topic I do not mind buying dented and crushed boxes for personal, usually 35-50% off original retail of course, please keep me in mind when it is time for your big banged up, crushed and dented sale.1 point
