  4. Some guy named Han. He was really in character. Gave me a hell of time.
  5. That has got to be a turn on for the ladies
  6. I already posted a few days back that I would be doing a 2 for 1 this month. Just waiting on the last 2 days of April, then I can start.
  7. We do have a motorized AT-AT (10178) from 2007-2010 (or so). Although it doesn't have a UCS Badge it was on that UCS poster. Plus we already have a playset-like AT-AT currently in shelves. Thus, I'm not sure if we'll be seeing that soon. Unlike the 10227 B-Wing, the A-Wing is sorta loved by many due to it's pivotal ROTJ scene. (and the popular 1984 / Kenner toy is usually in-demand ). Like the landspeeder, it's just kinda small though. I think we might see a Vader's Tie before all of the above sets though espeially since 10175 was done long ago and Lego designers came along way since that set (just look at the current UCS Tie). Obviously another UCS MF would be most welcomed and prob be a best seller. i would love a UCS Sail Barge. With Lego, we'll never know though since they like to throw us curve balls. The Vader Tie might have the best chance along with an ep 7 MF if Lego doesn't do another ep 7 ship.
  8. sold last set of mixels series 1 today for 115 on Ebay (free shipping). this was my last of 20 sets purchased at $60 around 5-6 months ago. sad to see them go but price had flattened and need cash for other investments!
  9. Arctic Transport Plane. Was in the catalog, and listed as available for 2015. Disappeared completely in January 2015. Quite valuable now. 3x MSRP.
  10. A video that is bound to become another Star Wars LEGO AFOL favorite. The destruction of a 10221 - Super Star Destroyer in slow motion.
  11. Let's not worry about who does and who doesn't pay tax. We don't need to flood the boards with these questions. Thanks
  12. Hey all, I'm new to BP, not new to LEGO but it's been a while. I'm really glad I found this community, it's really great and some of the members are extremely knowledgeable. I'm 28, a software engineer by trade (now my 9-5). I've got a lot of time on my hands so I write little tools, websites, apps and stuff on the side. I was recently re-introduced by my kid brother (who I originally gave my LEGO) and saw a bunch of great stuff going on in the LEGO world: 1) super nice community 2) LEGO ideas where you can actually make your dreams come alive for others 3) Alternative vehicle for investing (what I'd deem the 30% risky part of a portfolio) 4) Investing in a pass-time that spans across the ages, giving me something to do and share an interest in with my future kids/grandchildren 5) Something to connect with people in the local community about, and give something back when it comes to less privileged children 5) Interesting challenges, like how does one know where the best place to buy something is without making it their life? And what's the best price? And if I have all these pieces how can I organize them? Can a machine do it? Can normal 3D models be auto-magically converted to LLD models? If I have a LLD model, can a tool be built to auto-scale the internals while maintaining the general idea externally? Is any of this profitable because I do need to think about my future? Heck, it gives me and my brother something to talk about and that's enough, he's not really into software... I'm here mostly just trying to help. If there's some kind of tool you wanted, I'd be one of various guys to ask. Cheers, Jay
  13. Another grand flaw in eBay design. When you create a new listing using "sell one like this" from an existing listing including the MPN, it gets copied to your listing. Then, if you have a generic (lazy) or no description and use the "sell similar" feature, to just change title / price / pics (maybe) for all the rest of your listings, the MPN gets copied again, and again... and again. Then all your crap shows up in search results for that first item according to MPN. I noticed I had done this to about six sets of my own last year, previously I never understood it either.
  14. Soooooo, lego USA now shows 796 retired products. That is new. It doesn't look fully updated yet. Are the official retirements here? Never mind, they are all official. Finally!!!
  15. All BIN free shipping ebay. 3 more 7965 MF's over the weekend - $232 average . got lucky with 1 purchaser in my state and in the state next door. Sold 10 in 2 weeks - got spooked when I read a speculative discussion somewhere on the internet where the new "hero ship" has an MSRP of $149 and light brick engines. Not saying a new MF will make this one suddenly lose value but it won't help it either. Especially if it has a higher MSRP than 7965 and some extra added features aka light bricks. Down to my last 4 7965's, all mint, 2 in a case. Republic Gunship for $170 . Arctic Batman for 32.99. This one is slowly creeping up.
  16. Confirmed that if I order these in sets of 3 with in store pickup at walmart, I will get a case of 3. All 5 cases have packaging dates of 09/2014.
  17. Has anyone mentioned 79003 Unexpected Gathering, or was it already on the list?
  18. 21002 Empire State Building is also marked as retired now, unless that already happened
  19. She hassles you about opening a Pet Shop but not about the sleeping bag on the floor? Open it, you won't regret it!
  20. Your order is not guarantee but the $300+ is guarantee
  21. I think there will way too many new STAR WARS vehicles and characters to waste time on older UCS remakes.
  22. Do you have a reference for the "bigger, better" DS coming out next year?

  24. 79015 witch king battle popped back in stock on Walmart.ca. Was able to get 8 for $8 ea, shows that they're shipped, then another 8 popped into stock, ordered them to, wait an see if they ship.
  25. Hey "nerd", like "geek", used to be just a four letter word... now it'$ a 6 figure one!
  26. Even though I personally called LEGO CS and they told me the set is not online because of a glitch, part of me is like WTH - that's BC. So everything is awesome, back to worrying about other sets retiring etc, right? WRONG! Since when do I take the words a LEGO CS rep as gospel? LEGO rep says something is retiring, gut response is to say NO WAY. LEGO rep says something is not going away, lots instock just not online - response is OK. really? LEGO is a multnational multibillion dollar company. And they can't keep a webpage up for a week? IMO, this is a bunch of crap to keep the hoard from chewing through other reseller inventories. All my speculative opinion but I'm acting accordingly.
  27. Bad Girl.... http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-wars-force-awakens-gwendoline-793155
  28. True, I`ve had this issue as well, figured it out quite some time ago after banging my head on the desk a few times haha! Just clear everything (cache) and you should be fine.
  29. Right on! That`s how you have a proper May the 4th, with the most bada$$ Lego set of all time. Even if it did cost you the bed haha.
  30. Great, another IT nerd. /jk from one to another Welcome aboard!
  31. Let's be fair, I never actually had a bed. The intention was always to build the bed of LEGO.
  32. Yes, this set will sag if not given the extra support. But don't blame LEGO - they built an accurate recreation. You see, the Star destroyer was not built for an environment with gravity. Below is an example of gravity's effect on the Star Destroyer.
  33. Boba Fett movie! http://www.latino-review.com/news/second-star-wars-anthology-film-to-revolve-around-the-origins-of-boba-fett
  34. Just from the images this seems to be a dark movie in the vein of ESB. I'm looking forward to it -- I hope the movie lives up to the hype. I do like the way they're gradually revealing more actual details. So, many new Ep. 7 products launch on Sept. 4 -- are the Lego products also coming out that date? There was a rumor awhile back that this was the case. If so, we should start seeing some more official images leaked soon.

Welcome aboard! If dropping $400 on a Death Star makes you nervous, then buy one tumbler and one slave I instead. Both have excellent potential.

If you have the funds, and the time to sit on it for a bit, you will almost certainly get all your money back for the second purchase, pay for the one you build/keep, and still have a little extra to reinvest. It's just one of those amazing sets. edit: Welcome to Brickpicker!

  42. 10233 Horizon Express, US$80. Sealed, box in good shape.
  43. Sell and buy a nice used one. Buy a couple modulars with the difference.
  44. Check out this post here that I made the other day. There is a full feature for this. The goal is to launch it this week with a bunch of these other updates.

  46. Love most of the sets here, but I'm surprised no one mentioned the Mindstorms line. Look at what you can do with a single set:
