  1. The first thing you do in the morning after waking up. Oh, well this has to be the most awkward acronym in the history of ever....right after Target Inventory Tracker.
  2. Can we nominate members for Awards? If anyone was ever deserving of The Questionnaire badge, it would be canonikon.
  3. this week: sold 3X10221 each for $849.99 cost retail+tax= $435.99 profit ($236.50 each)
  4. Basic human psychology dictates that someone who has multiples of any one set will think it's a winner and try to convince everyone it is. Anyone who has 0 of a set will call it a loser and try to convince everyone it's a turkey in an attempt to make themselves feel better about not having any. It's hard to get an unbiased opinion around here. It is what it is.
  5. I think I would have just replaced that tooth with a white 1x1.
  6. What's wrong with make $60 on a $250 investment in less than a month? If that's not worth it, I'll take it for you. Thanks Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Brickpicker mobile app
  7. Found a lonely Valentines Dinner at Ross for $7.99, felt it best to bring it home and place it on eBay. I think that may be the first item I've ever purchased at Ross, the retail employee in me was screaming in agony at how disorganized that store was.
  8. I bought a 10182 cafe corner for 200$ Off of craigslist. I've been flipping Legos from craigslist to eBay since Christmas and I think I'm addicted. There's so much good information on here I just want to say thanks and good job!
  9. SMH. This set lowest resale was 50% markup; it's now nearly x2 MSRP and continues to rise as smaller seller stock is running out. SR is stable and doing well. Most one off minifigures do well -- reference CMFs. Specifically, Series 1 : nurse. Specialized area with single unit will command a premium. By saying 60 eur = x3 MSRP is not 'a lot', That's hard to figure. None minecraft at 35$ is selling at 105$. Modulars hitting x3 MSRP takes quite a long time too. Fire Brigade still isn't there. Space Shuttle is just getting there after 3 years.

Hello everyone! Here is another project that I just submitted on LEGO IDEAS, also based on the movie Captain America: The First Avenger. Several months ago, I just posted the project Red Skull's Flying-Wing Chase on the forum. Chech this link: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/12477-red-skulls-flying-wing-chase-my-lego-ideas-project/ For more details, please check the link below. If you like the model, please give your support. Thanks a lot! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/98141 THE STORY This project (392 pieces) features the scene from the movie Captain America: The First Avenger. After a gun fight with Captain America and Bucky in a Hydra base, Johann Schmidt turns into the Red Skull by tearing his face apart, showing the audience his new, horrible, red face. He is going to escape with the cosmic cube in his jet. Unfortunately, Captain America and Bucky fail to stop this bad guy because of the big explosion in the Hydra base. THE HYDRA JET The jet (173 pieces) is built mainly with dark grey, light grey, black and some dark red bricks. The front cockpit can open and fit one minifig, probably Red Skull himself. It has two flick missles on both sides. The three big propellers on the back of the jet can rotate freely in 360

I'd use a mega block, wouldn't want to waste Legos on a cat. Especially an off brand cat.

not sure if it's a news... received my AWD DS, code 05R5... soooooo fresh, long-life DS Edit: DS DS DS... i'm soooo drunk
  13. It's just meant to gauge what sets are selling for in the current market. Has nothing to do with financials. Just gives a guide for others to see what things are going for.
  14. It is the "What LEGO set did you sell today and for how much?" thread not the "what was your exact P&L analysis of such said sale" thread
  15. Either way the man made money. As my life coach "Rickey Smiley" says "stop counting other people's money!" Be happy for him and move on.
  16. Well, uh, that's not quite what it's intended for, but I see where you're going.

  18. If you look deeper in the flyer some select LEGO sets will be 30% off (Monster fighters, Galaxy Squad, City, Castle, maybe more?) so keep an eye out for those.
  19. Here is the White Fang of Eurobricks review we all have been waiting for.
  20. funny the ones that want to buy them do not find them and the ones who do not want them have end caps. Always the way
  21. I'd love to see the Dolphin Cruiser retire. It's been out for awhile now, so it should be coming close to retiring. I think this set will surprise a lot of people once retired. Many of us were disappointed when it didn't perform as well this past Christmas like it did in 2013, which probably turned some people away from it's long term potential. Once it's gone, I think $150 is very attainable, if not a little more. That should bode well for those who got in around $50 or less. I've got a fleet of 24, and I'm kind of glad they didn't get flipped this past Christmas.
  22. Yeah, that was the only reason I went in there. Happened to be nearby and had some time to kill waiting to pick up my son from practice.
  23. Welcome. The best advice I can offer is to read, then read, and when you finish read some more. Also before you go on a buying binge sell a few items just to get a feel for the process. Buying is easy, selling isn't.
  24. I have a strange feeling this theme is and will be a late bloomer. Money is there for the patient ones.
  25. That's Fresher than some Yogurts I have in my Refrigerator.
  26. Starts Friday, Remember to use coupon code CineplexHoliday for any orders over $40! I'll be getting a Constructo-mech for personal build
  27. RI is a set that will always have fans. It has made many resellers money early in the cycle and will so again in the future,
  28. No that was Darin he built a couch out of them since he plans on sitting on them. That pic was amazing.
  29. Riddle for the ring 19.99 free ship bought for 7.30
  30. you're better of cancelling your order and placing a new one. I placed a new one today and that one is in warehouse. the one from Saturday is still backordered.
  31. Wow, LEGO is a commodity in prison? Who would have thunk it???
  32. Toys R Us You've got some reading to catch up don't you... http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/8878-brickpicker-abbreviations
  33. Maybe 1 thread per retailer? (TRU/WM/Amazon/etc) The Walmart one has been working well, as did Target ones in the past. Or maybe just 1 "Daily Canada Deals" thread - not sure what the best option would be really.
  34. Got 10x 10965 and left about 40 on the shelf. ....I couldn't pony up the extra dough. Found vday at Ross and picked up 2 birds 2 pencil holders 1 ToO and 3 pee. They're limiting sets at my store on that one. :(
  35. You know who else liked Jar Jar ? Palpatine Afterall, Jar Jar was crucial in starting the Clone Wars
  36. NEVER ship with parcel no matter what. Priority is safer. Heard this from a USPS employee.
  37. Well, what could it mean? Bunch of people thinking double VIP is the ideal time to stock up. And at least according to temporal extrapolation, there's good reason to do so: - All modulars had between decent and gains - All modulars retired after 4 years or less - PS is in its 4th year Avilability of modulars is more investor driven compared to average sets. Smaller production quantities and higher investor focus leads to less supply than demand whenever investors see a good opportunity to stock up. So I don't think what we see is TLG actually fading PS out yet but rather the effect of what investors think TLG will do.
  38. You mean other than 5 exclusive mini figs, arkenstone, lots of sand green bricks, gold, and most of the hobbit story wrapped into it?
  39. It's funny how the LEGO spies on the BrickPicker forums are working with LEGO to toy with the retirement status of the most recent wave, just to mess with us.
  40. Sure, no one needs to raise a stink about their 6862 Superman / Power Lex with a little crease in it (yet). But I think that - as a seller selling a $300 Diagon Alley - if you don't want to run into a "box diva" (the term we prefer), then the first responsible thing you should do is insert into your listing a simple phrase like, "box may have small crease(s) or other minor defects" ... after all, it has no effect on the value of your sale, right? So you have nothing to lose but a disgruntled customer you didn't want anyway. Just be up front about it. That way you don't have to blame the customer for sending you money and expecting to receive an, " ...unopened, undamaged item..."
  41. I just sold my first item on ebay ;-) LEGO 7965 Millennium Falcon: 77
  42. You should get a reward icon for that, maybe a LEGO police officer icon. There's certainly enough of those to choose from.
  43. Seller re-listed the item either because the previous buyer didn't pay, or he just wanted to scam some more people. This time it looks like my report worked as the listing was deleted. I also no longer see the sellers account. Victory!
  44. Yes we did. And I managed to score a grand total of 1.
