One of the other LEGO sites had this feature for a while, but I got a ton of emails and PMs about whether Brickpicker would have something like this. It was hard to say for a while but after 7+ weeks of asking, discussing, etc. I finally was given access to this information as well and created a page to search for inventory in all the local Target locations near you. So a few notable features: You can either obtain the Target DPCI number from the Target Product detail pages, or use the DPCI search link that see available on the page. Try to be as specific as possible with your search phrases Map/Geolocation/Pins - Easily see the color coded pins that surround your current location. This will help you identify what direction to go in. "Go towards the Green" Search popular and recent searches. Click the active link on the DPCI number and it will automatically fill the search box See store details/hours/maps Ok, so check it out, let me know your thoughts. I will keep an eye out in my email for any bugs/errors. Hopefully this helps you find what you need. I hope you like it!!! http://www.brickpicker.com/target-inventory12 points

The real 60051/52 train question for me--at this price, is it worth it? There's always a new iteration of the train which limits the growth of the old one. Even if it has a short life (and that's a big if), there's a new cargo train coming. Again, those with $99 buy in are in good shape, but I'd have to pay close to retail price and there's better upside to something more collectible and exclusive. I wouldn't hesitate at $99, but $189 + tax... I'd rather buy another PC or ToO or Tumbler.4 points

Palace Cinema is on the back of the Detective's Office box. Town Hall isn't. Pet Shop isn't. It's not going anywhere yet. Maybe at the end of this year after they announce another corner.2 points

F5-ing is so overrated and so 2014! It is so much more fun and less stressful indeed when you already have your minimum quantity for investment and every other is extra.2 points

So if this set really retires everywhere by say.. .May - June 2015, very cool. Less than 1 full year at retail for s great designed set from a well-liked theme.2 points

Still wondering why I can't give you money for all these nifty features. Until that time, you have my continued thanks.2 points

All sellers on ebay ought to adhere to the rule: "Package every sold item the way you would like to receive it yourself!". That's what I do. Always. No exceptions. Everything else would be unaccaptable for my personal understanding of social manners. Unfortunately, many other seller folks don't seem to have that kind of a "problem". I mean if they package their stuff so badly, not having one bad feeling about it. Makes me wonder if some day some of them will start coming out asking buyers "Do you want me to send you the item with a real crappy packaging, so you can throw it away right after receiving it totally damaged - or should I put in in a garbage can right here at my place, which would save you the postage cost?"...2 points

IMO, a lot of investors are underestimating the Lego Movie sets as an entire class of investments. The "name of the game" in movie production now is franchise potential, and The Lego Movie already has THREE sequels slated (Batman being first). That strengthens all of these sets as long-term investments. Those films will likely be successful, leading to more films. And more AFOL's for us to provide product for. This set is great. A personal family favorite of ours, and likely many, the double-decker couch... which is so popular at B&M's that most are restricting them to "one per household". It's the kind of set current kids will look back on twenty years from now and gladly pay significantly $ to own, based on how well the set represents the movie and the nice memories they had in childhood watching it. I think savvy investors will identify this potential, but not so many that hoarding will be significant. I love the movie, the line, and the long-term investment potential.2 points

As the title states, I am just getting started in collecting and investing in Lego sets. I would like to get a jump start and ask someone to help me out in figuring out which sets to buy. I am willing to compensate for your help. I am 40 years old, married, and have children so I'm not some wishy washy youngin. Thank you in advance.1 point

So I started my MS 10190 build last night, figured with this weather can't do much else. All of my orders were in and I broke down 3 Seaside Houses. I am doing this with no substitutions and 100% new with the exception of used 4X white Hoses and Used Right LBG door, those 5 parts saved me $85. So far my cost including shipping has been $360 using Lego Bricks and Pieces and BL. So I sort everything last night and start the build and of course I am missing some pieces. I used rebrickable to see what I had on hand that is how I figured to use the seaside houses since they contain 36% of the parts. First it was a tan 1x8 brick 3008 and I looked it up and saw it was in Jabbas Sail Barge and creative Tower but not opening one of those for 1 brick so I substituted 2 1X4 and it will be easy to replace so I built on. Then I started missing pieces that I knew I had on hand just couldn't recall where. There are 18 pieces used from Death Star Troopers battle pack and I know I have many of those opened to part out the figs. So when I go into rebrickable part out 10190 select an element and the sets it is in Death Star troopers does not show up. But if I do the same in reverse the parts are there. Not sure if that makes sense to you. Next I was missing Trans Clear Minifig heads 3626b that are used in the street light that I know I also have on hand, also the LBG 1x6 Arch 3455. So I will hopefully only have to make one more order. My question is there another way I should be searching for what sets an element is in? Any tips appreciated.1 point

The one I got from Lego last week has seal code 03S5. The one I bought yesterday in a toyshop has 51S4. I thought the general consensus was that the seal codes are not production runs perse. But the week it was packed? I do not believe they have a production line purely for a particular set. They have production lines for parts. Am I talking sense?1 point

If you can sell anything locally to avoid Ebay, it's a $50 bonus on a $300 set, with no real headaches.1 point

Classic supply and demand situation. Resellers think it will go X times MSRP so are buying them from other resellers thus pushing the price up further. We will see if they manage to create a bubble or if there is really a sustained genuine demand very soon. Also if you see the full street built , it is the most commanding building and is a real centrepiece.1 point

I think Sea Cow has excellent potential, although there isn't a precedent for a steam punk pirate ship. Hard to guess EOL on it, though, since there is no new LEGO Movie exclusive to take its place and new LEGO Movie sets are still arriving.1 point

Well I guess there is something to be learned from this thread. Lots of people dissing Town Hall and now it's pushing $500 on eBay. Wish I would have left more pet shops and grand emporiums out of the cart and put more Town Hall's into it.1 point

In other fruitcake news, they're starting to reply to my local CS ads. Well if they're so much cheaper (I have them listed at $80 or less if you want more than 1), go buy them there. With our tax, TRU's price is about $79 for a 1000 brick box if you can find one. Morons. I was a lot more polite in my reply but I didn't want to be.1 point

Off-topic.... youtubeonfire.com. Amazing. Watched "Big Hero 6" with the kids four times in the last week. As quality a movie as Disney has ever produced. If you haven't seen it- whether you have kids or not- see it. Most pleasantly surprising movie I have seen in years.1 point

I have 2 Jabba Palaces and 2 Helm's Deep waiting for me at a Mom & Pop pharmacy. I really hope they run a 25% off toys sale sometime closer to the holidays, but they may be gone by then.1 point

You mean Baxter's Robot Rampage? Yeah the page is there still but it also displays the "Sold Out" tag without any change of status which could very well mean the set is down for the count. Like the recent half off Desert Skiff, how many people actually managed to get any at that sale price? In any case, I can hardly wait to see how much either set goes for this Christmas. Now in regards to the overall topic, isn't it a little premature to write off the theme as an investment while every single set continues to be currently available in most stores and online? I can purchase all sets from the first wave off Shop-at-Home minus Baxter1 point

Just ignore it. Other potential buyers can see that you have a pending offer and might be worried that you will accept and instead buy it for the full price. This definitely worked for me at least once. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker1 point
