I buy up a ToO, really beaten up box, but as it

All this practice does is hurt the legitimate ebay sellers including most of you on here, yet every time one of these type auctions comes up of $50 Death Stars or half price this and that people bid on them with the hope they are going to get something that will never come. It affects ebay sellers as a whole as ebay then takes proactive measures like restricting additional accounts a legitimate user may have or putting harsher monthly limits on sellers to protect them from getting more damage from hacked accounts. If something is over 50% off on a hot item you know its not legitimate so why bother!!!! The attitude that I am covered by paypal and ebay so it doesn't matter is the wrong one to have. It still have repercussions on the site as a whole. Just report these type auctions instead of purchasing them and hoping for the best.

I'm not trying to bust your you know what but your attitude is precisely why scammers are so successful. Your logic is if it's a scam oh well ebay or paypal has got my back. Meanwhile the scammer got away Scott free with your money. Who do think reimburses you? The thief? It comes from PayPal or ebay who have to foot the bill, and then people wonder why the fees they charge keep going up and up.

I ended up placing a couple orders from zavvi.com after they were rumored to be sold out. I didn't think I would get anything but today I got a nice surprise in the mail! I read they made 500 of each color, I ended up with 4 copies of red vinyl and one of them is #000001 as shown in the photo! Never expected that! If anyone ends up with an extra yellow and wants to trade for a red, keep me in mind. Time to break out the wheels of steel.. lol

I am a seller that calls them new. If I part out a set (minifigs), are they used because I sliced open a big bag to take the minifigures out? Something about Star Wars and spaceships seems to trump all rationale when it comes to Lego investing. I have an equal share of these two so I'm happy to see either win. Assuming TOO poofs out completely soon, I expect Red Five to win the 1-2 yr appreciation race and TOO wins long-term.

I might have bought a couple of those X-Wings at Sam's Club, but I'm not sure what they finally cleared out at? I think I saw them at $19.81. I thought about rigging them with some rocket kits for some Saturday night fun.

It seems that quite few sets (in comparison with the 1st wave) have been produced for the 3rd wave, especially this set. To be true, I've only seen this set... in online stores. Now it's only available on LEGO Shop at Home in my country. But maybe we are an exception, who knows. So, what if there are no more, let's say, on march/april ? Will lego produce some more sets, considering that movies are no more on screens and new lego themes are coming and retailers shelves will need some more room for those ? Quite unlikely to see another run next month IMO... (only the very last one to fulfill retailers backorders, as usual) Smaug could be one of the most expensive lego figure, ever... (I mean non-limited, but removed from a set) We'll see some more Hulk minifigs, some more Darth vader, rancor... but how many smaug ? I wonder how many time will we have to wait to see on ebay some knock-offs from china.

I see this set absolutely no where. It makes me nervous that I should buy some if it gets an early ax for some strange reason. Though ToO investment is key to me at the moment.

In the past available in 30 days has meant a new packing run in Mexico. So the new batch coming to the USA will have 05 seals. As for production of the pieces inside the set nobody knows. They could have 12 months worth of pieces stockpiled, or they could have 2 months, or they could be making new pieces as I type. They may have very few pieces/boxes left and may not make more and may not be able to satisfy backorders. You will need to take an educated guess armed with the knowledge it is a poor seller and production capacity and shelf space is not unlimited. If LEGO Shop at Home cancels backorders then you can say with certainty it is done with no more coming to LEGO Shop at Home. Any extras will then go to amazon and big box for the F5 game.

Thanks GD. Also let me make sure I am not saying ToO is bad, I think its great, I am a LOTR Hobbit nut. I am coming to the impression to get out of most everything LOTR Hobbit I have, profit or break even, EXCEPT to increase buying in ToO. On a long term arc for holding and selling I think ToO may very well do better. Especially if there is another UCS X Wing with the Red 5 movie in 2020. But I have some sets I hold long term, some I flip mid term and some stuff that is QFLL. Trying to figure out what set to put into what slot for me personally is fun. Thanks on 7965. For whats its worth I decided to go ahead and flip most of the 7965 (including several I was able to acquire a few weeks ago) and am holding onto 2 long term. I have one of those Toys R Us exclusive AT AT's I forget the model number, but it has suffered poorly with the new AT AT. I don't want to be stuck with a pile of the 7965's. On your Sandcrawler and Slave 1, I love those sets two. Stood in line for both of those to get one on opening day. I hope to be able to start adding those to inventory along with the Tumbler after we get past the Red 5, EEE and ToO frenzy fest. My guess is later this year sometime that will happen. Who knows. LOL

Everything is better in first person. There are a couple clips with a little camera droid thingy running around a pinball table going through all the wire ramps, curves, and pop bumpers. Fun.

My first ToO arrived today (also my second lego investment set) Looks fantastic, would love to build it but I must resist. Mine had seal code 48S4, don't know what this means? I assume higher the number the more recently it was manufactured? I was torn between the R5 and this but I chose this because I think it is going to be horded far less and be a much rarer awesome set to find in the future. R5 looks naff to me and will likely have other redwing variants by the time it's retired and the new film is out.

Should have bought more Furno XL from Target during black friday, when they were at $12. hotcackes... sold last few for $27.99 (free shipping, but it fits exactly at 13 oz using properly sized box, so first class worked)

After being inspired by Alpine, my family is now hooked on Mixels. When you consider that "build your own mini-figs" are four bucks a pop in-store, and include 7 pieces- and that for only six bucks the Mixels are 70+ pieces, the value is exceptional. But more so, the builds are outstanding.. We're current through Series 2 and 3, but wish we had had the foresight when Series 1 was available. These are great sets, for both a family build with the kiddo's, and - in my opinion- a solid investment for future re-sale.

Record Store Day is in April and is when the releases can only be found at independent record stores and places like Best Buy and Target do NOT get these releases. I don't know which part of the country you live in but here is a website with a store locator. http://www.recordstoreday.com Your best bet is to call ahead and put your name down on a list or unfortunately eBay is the only other way and the prices for these things on eBay get out of control. I am going to put in an order for several of them and see what happens - if I am fortunate enough to purchase several I would certainly be happy to help another BP out who wants one.

Yes, this would be awesome. Also very expensive with a bunch of new animal molds unless they brickbuilt them. I get that, but for MOC'rs and folks that want a realistic town, having 5 cops for every 3 citizens doesn't cut it. And 2 of those citizens are criminals.

I do have box variants I've noticed. Duplo trains from walmart and tru are different. Just could picture a customer saying something if they thought it was a knockoff because they had never seen them packaged that way. I always try to think of any issues i could encounter with a product. I do think its a great deal though and worth the money. They had some LEGO Movie minifigur3 cases too

The first thing i thought when I saw this set a while back was steampunk also. I already have the Metalbeard duel set and building Metalbeard was one of the most fun Lego building experiences I've had--I love that model/figure/whatever with all it's steampunk vibe. I think this set could be very popular with steampunk fans, and if Lego ever did a steampunk theme that could add to the desirability of this set. As is I can already imagine having the Monster Fighters crew this thing--how cool would that look?
