  1. There is supposed to be a new trailer of this during the Super Bowl today. It is supposed to include the original cast which will be great to see. I hope this is true.

  7. Sold two arctic planes the last couple of days at $89.95. Had several watchers too. I only listed two and have 8 remaining (found another one recently). I think I need to sit on these long term rather than quick flip to appeal to completionists of the arctic series in a year or two... Just my guess.

  10. Since something bizarre happened to the original topic dedicated for the new theme, I am merely making this as a temporary replacement for further discussion until or if the original thread can be restored. Moving along the last bit of news was we have an image for the Mystery Machine and Mystery Mansion sets which I shall attach below. Release date is around August this year.

  25. I have a 46S4 ordered from LEGO Shop at Home. Technically a set cannot be produced for more than 10 years as their own packing code "system" would have to be changed as they only have 1 digit for the year (sort of a Y2K time bomb). The packing codes are important for product recalls so they must be unique. Since 10188 came out in 2008 the last packing code we will see ever see is possibly 50S7 or 50R7 for North America....Yaaayyyy under 3 years to go!

  31. I bought a ToO today!!! So stoked. Debating on getting another or a Red Five. I initially wasn't going to buy this one but I feel like it's not heavily hoarded. Can't wait for this bad boy to retire. Impressive box and it looks like a killer build.

  35. Rubeus Hagrid had fingers on his hand pieces, but these hands don't look right. Also, Professor Trelawney's legs are a brick piece, so you may want to look through the parts bin instead of the figure parts to find it.

  37. She is of the Harry Potter era where they stopped making yellow heads and went with the light peach flesh color. She's pretty valuable since she only came in one set, Hogwarts Castle 4757.

  42. Another Maersk ship from Lego will be golden, not competition! Frankly, this set is AFOL all the way. And AFOL are much more likely to be completists. I say, bring on another half-dozen Maersk ships, trains, and other branded goods! It will only increase the value of the early models (see, CC, MS, and GC in the modulars as an example).

  46. Check the FAQ http://www.brickpicker.com/index.php/frequently_asked_questions Where does the data come from for the values of the Lego sets? The data is obtained directly from eBay.com through a partnership called Terapeak. We pay a yearly license in order to obtain the data. How often is the data for the guide updated? The data is updated once a month, usually by the end of the first week of the new month. We need to wait until eBay delivers all the files for the previous month before we can start the process of aggregating all the prices for the sets. Do the Price/Set Guide estimated values include shipping costs? No. This is a topic that brings much debate. Our thoughts on this topic was to remove the volatile shipping costs from the calculation. A LEGO set sold to a person 10 miles from the seller would have a different shipping cost than the same set sold to a person 10,000 miles away. Most major retailers do not include shipping costs when describing a LEGO set for sale. It is a special or deal at times to get
