There is supposed to be a new trailer of this during the Super Bowl today. It is supposed to include the original cast which will be great to see. I hope this is true.7 points

Sold two arctic planes the last couple of days at $89.95. Had several watchers too. I only listed two and have 8 remaining (found another one recently). I think I need to sit on these long term rather than quick flip to appeal to completionists of the arctic series in a year or two... Just my guess.2 points

Since something bizarre happened to the original topic dedicated for the new theme, I am merely making this as a temporary replacement for further discussion until or if the original thread can be restored. Moving along the last bit of news was we have an image for the Mystery Machine and Mystery Mansion sets which I shall attach below. Release date is around August this year.1 point

I'm also annoyed that we have to wait until 2017 to see the real Super Bowl commercials. Starting in 2017 Canadian TV providers won't be able to simsub crappy Canadian commercials on channels we pay for.1 point

It was an ingenious move from LEGO to focus on the classic side of the theme. After all almost always the parents make the decision Also the builds are quite decent. Much better than Super Heroes or Pirates. I will be getting these sure as hell. The figures will go well with HH as well.1 point

I originally only wanted the Mystery Machine and the Castle. Seeing these two...confirms I need them all.1 point

Lost our Flag Football playoff game today 20-18. Played in a foot of snow. It was like being a kid again with out kid stamina. Getting too old for this.1 point

I was hoping to get one of each of these, but they are too cool. I'll be stocking multiples.1 point

I'm a little disappointed with the lighthouse...it seems about one level too short.1 point

Doc & Marty already claimed the Town Hall as its needed to go back in time to buy all the Haunted Houses1 point

They aren't in competition at all--the Ghostbusters need a Town Hall in which to meet the mayor about disturbances at the Haunted House.1 point

I have a 46S4 ordered from LEGO Shop at Home. Technically a set cannot be produced for more than 10 years as their own packing code "system" would have to be changed as they only have 1 digit for the year (sort of a Y2K time bomb). The packing codes are important for product recalls so they must be unique. Since 10188 came out in 2008 the last packing code we will see ever see is possibly 50S7 or 50R7 for North America....Yaaayyyy under 3 years to go!1 point

Yeah this one comes in the standard mid size box like MF 7965 that LEGO pack in 2s. That1 point

Oh LEGO will do something alright. They will grill you about being a reseller and then probably ban you. I wouldn't call them if I were you. Deal with Walmart since it appears it could be their fault.1 point

I am so sorry that is horrible. Worst story I have heard yet. Can you combine any of them to make full complete ones?1 point

She is of the Harry Potter era where they stopped making yellow heads and went with the light peach flesh color. She's pretty valuable since she only came in one set, Hogwarts Castle 4757.1 point

The hands are Mega Bloks but the torso is from one of the LEGO Indiana Jones sets I believe.1 point

3rd Pic. Last torso, Nute Gunray http://brickset.com/minifigs/sw242 2nd Pic. Last torso, Jedi, though not sure which... Last Pic, Last torso, I don't think is LEGO, since the hands are molded to have fingers.1 point

That makes me think of the at times confusing terms "affect" and "effect". A person can affect something causing an effect. I wonder if it's the one letter difference that's the culprit.1 point

Another Maersk ship from Lego will be golden, not competition! Frankly, this set is AFOL all the way. And AFOL are much more likely to be completists. I say, bring on another half-dozen Maersk ships, trains, and other branded goods! It will only increase the value of the early models (see, CC, MS, and GC in the modulars as an example).1 point

Dressing up like a buffoon shouldn't be anything new considering they have no problem acting like one.1 point

This thread sure did cool off. I used to get updates all the time everyday. Now........nothing. I'll start it up......It will be 4 years this year since this set was released. Is it going away this year? Let the flurry of responses begin........1 point

Just looking at all those stickers makes me anxious. I suck at putting on stickers.1 point

The problem with pet shops is almost all of them use dogs from puppy mills and many of them have issues and diseases. You're better off in a shelter that cares about the animals instead of a store that only cares about profit and nothing else.1 point

I deleted the other post because I wanted all the Lego for myself. I created the legend of the "Ghost Post" to scare off would be investors, and I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids.1 point

I forgot about the New Jedi Order series thankfully, lol. But yes you are right. The Jedi and Sith even got together to fight them, which was 100% predictable. I am such a nerd I have actually read every SW novel from OT and Splinter of the Minds Eye days all the way through 2014. I am not proud of this per se...1 point

Check the FAQ http://www.brickpicker.com/index.php/frequently_asked_questions Where does the data come from for the values of the Lego sets? The data is obtained directly from eBay.com through a partnership called Terapeak. We pay a yearly license in order to obtain the data. How often is the data for the guide updated? The data is updated once a month, usually by the end of the first week of the new month. We need to wait until eBay delivers all the files for the previous month before we can start the process of aggregating all the prices for the sets. Do the Price/Set Guide estimated values include shipping costs? No. This is a topic that brings much debate. Our thoughts on this topic was to remove the volatile shipping costs from the calculation. A LEGO set sold to a person 10 miles from the seller would have a different shipping cost than the same set sold to a person 10,000 miles away. Most major retailers do not include shipping costs when describing a LEGO set for sale. It is a special or deal at times to get1 point
