  1. Ed and I have decided that it is time to open up Brick Classifieds to everyone. At this time, we invite all of our members to take a look around, register, create your store and start posting items if you got them. As with any new launch, every feature you are hoping for may not be developed or active yet. Over the coming days, weeks, months, there will be a steady stream of enhancements to get the site where it needs to be. The current small team of beta testers has done a great job of getting it started and provided some great feedback. We already have about close to 400 items posted! There has also been a handful of transactions completed amongst the beta testers We have created a support site and forum just for the classifieds. You can visit that site at: http://support.brickclassifieds.com Of course we will still look for feedback and answer questions here on Brickpicker. I have opened up the the **BETA** thread to everyone now and of course feel free to send me a private message if you would like to report an issue or have feedback. Ed will be following up my post with some more details on some guidelines about Brick Classifieds to make sure we get started in the right direction and move to make this marketplace fast growing, trusted and the place to buy and sell LEGO. I think we are off to a good start. NOTE: The ability for NON-USA vendors to change the currency to their local currency is now available. ****CLICK HERE TO VISIT BRICK CLASSIFIEDS****

  8. In the back of the instructions for the Valentine's Day Dinner set, there was this picture showing the next possible small seasonal set of a diorama. No official name just yet same as the other for a few days but it appears to be another couple this time decorating the eggs for Easter. Just noticed this will have some dark red masonry bricks which is fantastic in my opinion.

  12. There are no refunds from Brick Classifieds (unless it is a system generated error and you got charged 10 times for one transaction or something like that). If a transaction happens properly, we collect our fee for the advertising of your listing which was completed at that point. If you want to include a restocking fee, that is up to you, make sure it is listed on your policies and explain that to the person who wants to return an item and I guess they will need to pay you via paypal. All of this is after the transaction.

  13. I wouldn't communicate with the seller by phone. I would communicate through only eBay's message system so that all communication is documented and can be accessed by eBay customer service.

  21. Well, the day is finally here. Brick Classifieds has finally launched after numerous versions, trials and tribulations. Jeff has worked real hard over the past year and a half to give LEGO fans, collectors, investors and those dreaded resellers a place to sell their AUTHENTIC LEGO items for a fair fee. Jeff and the BETA testers have been working hard correcting minor issues and improving usability. There will be issues and shortcomings, but this is what the BETA is for...to work out the kinks. We want your feedback. With your input and patience, we can all benefit from our new venture. You can read the INTRODUCTION TO BRICK CLASSIFIEDS, RULES OF THE BRICK CLASSIFIEDS and the BRICK CLASSIFIEDS FAQs to learn more about the basics of the site, but here are some basic guidelines and rules: Please post at least one actual photo of the item you are selling. IT SELLS. Trust a long time buyer like myself, in today's world of frauds and fakes, pictures help reduce issues and improves sales. Please list and give an accurate description of the items being sold. Please package and ship items properly Please leave honest feedback. Both buyers and sellers will be able to leave feedback(it will be implemented fully in a couple of days). Use PayPal to exchange money. Price your items reasonably. Our fees during the BETA are FREE, after the BETA, there will be a 2% commission added to every transaction, the lowest in the business. Pass these savings onto the buyer. Be honest. No funny business. No fakes. No dropshipping. Only real LEGO items will be sold. Jeff and I will try to help with any serious issues, but the bottom line is: The Transaction is between the buyer and the seller. Brick Classifieds or its owners are not responsible for any listing or transaction. We are the advertising source. We accept a small fee for this and will recommend that members leave feedback and report issues to PayPal. Honestly, if you want guarantees, use eBay or Amazon and pay 10% or more commissions. I hope that the BrickPicker community enjoys the Brick Classifieds and uses them to make lots of money. Jeff and I will be working hard to improve the current version and to spread the word throughout the LEGO community and beyond... Thanks...Ed Mack

  22. I guess I posted in the wrong thread. I found 5 death stars at a local liquidation store (mom and pop type) with outer boxes and were in perfect condition for 240$ each. also picked up 3 simpsons houses for 140$ each (boxes were horrendous though) an arkham asylum and Parisian Restaurant for 100 each$ my favorite store ever!

  24. Yeah, nicer than me, too, by about 2 and 1/2 weeks. Rule #1: Don't list it until you have the materials in your hands to safely ship it. I don't even know what to say about tissue paper packaging. In winter no less. I may have to take up drinking.

  28. I don't understand the need to ask people how many multiple copies of sets they own (aka bragging - yes, it is bragging). It seems like the same people ask / posts all the time in different ways. Additionally, who really knows how many sets we own? I could own 6 or 26 R2s and nobody will ever know for sure unless they visit me. Please bring beer if anyone does visit. So I think if someone wants brag about the # of sets he / she owns, please include a selfie in front of the sets so other members can laugh at you.

  30. I have a couple of things I would think about: - How long has it been? Alert the post office again and definitely keep talking to them about it. During the Christmas season, Scans are not even close to trustworthy with this company. Case and point: 1. I had one customer whose item showed that it was never checked in, never moved anywhere, looked like I just printed the label and never sent it. 2 weeks after, it just shows up at his door. 1 day after - Scans showed up (but with bogus dates and times). 2. Had about 15+ packages this year that weren't scanned at the first two places, then just showed up at the house. 3. Had two packages show delivered - but weren't. They were delivered several days later. There are more, but the point is that USPS is literally awful at the one thing they do - deliver packages. So I would be skeptical that it was ever actually delivered. They aren't losing 8 BIllion a year because they are good at it... At the post office, ask them if you have any packages in the pile "postage due". I constantly have stuff sent to me that gets accidentally or legitimately put in that pile, then they never give me a card telling me, or it just shows delivered. Make them look - this has happened multiple times. As for the Ebay part - ask the seller if he bought insurance on it. I generally always do if its a big purchase for cases like this (I normally send more expensive items with FEDEX anyway since they are a real shipping company). I wouldn't open a buyer protection case until you try to work it out with him. He is justified to think it may be a scam - I get a couple scam messages a week. I would suggest calling him - ask for his phone number. People are way different behind email.

  36. From what I was just reading, it does not look like you need a Business Account. I did that is for sure, but Premier and Business accounts will help for those that try to do purchases and do not have paypal accounts and act as a paypal guest. Guest Payments Adaptive payments supports guest payments, which are payments using a senders credit card without logging into PayPal to complete the transaction. The sender is not explicitly identified as a PayPal account holder during the transaction and is not required to have a PayPal account. Each receiver of a guest payment must be a verified PayPal Business Verified or Premier Verified account holder. PayPal handles guest payments in the same way that it handles explicitly approved payments. Instead of logging into PayPal to complete transaction, the sender provides credit card information on the PayPal payment screen:

  45. You are not alone on this one.. Was cleaning up and just looked at my two received from AZ yesterday. Mine have 36R4 on bottom (single taped) and the top has 50R4 taped over the seals that are normally not numbered. Boxes in pristine condition. I ordered some from Target earlier today, will be interesting to see if these are the same.

  48. ed, i agree and think this set could follow the 10228 HH set with a huge "pop" once it nears retirement. it's another one of those quirky yet well-designed lego sets that LOOKS GREAT on display. buying this set is a no-brainer. doesn't take a rocket scientist so i'm in luck the only question is will it be around for only 2-3 years... the less supply (only 2 years of availability) for 10228 is really helping that set compared sets even like the FB (lasted 4 years). in the end, it's all about "supply vs. demand".
