  1. Ed and I have decided that it is time to open up Brick Classifieds to everyone. At this time, we invite all of our members to take a look around, register, create your store and start posting items if you got them. As with any new launch, every feature you are hoping for may not be developed or active yet. Over the coming days, weeks, months, there will be a steady stream of enhancements to get the site where it needs to be. The current small team of beta testers has done a great job of getting it started and provided some great feedback. We already have about close to 400 items posted! There has also been a handful of transactions completed amongst the beta testers We have created a support site and forum just for the classifieds. You can visit that site at: http://support.brickclassifieds.com Of course we will still look for feedback and answer questions here on Brickpicker. I have opened up the the **BETA** thread to everyone now and of course feel free to send me a private message if you would like to report an issue or have feedback. Ed will be following up my post with some more details on some guidelines about Brick Classifieds to make sure we get started in the right direction and move to make this marketplace fast growing, trusted and the place to buy and sell LEGO. I think we are off to a good start. NOTE: The ability for NON-USA vendors to change the currency to their local currency is now available. ****CLICK HERE TO VISIT BRICK CLASSIFIEDS****
  2. For all of you that are picky about how your boxes look (especially near EOL), take note.

So it turns out my GF bought me a Slave 1 for my birthday and used my VIP number.
  4. I built the Sea Cow this last week and just finished a review today.... http://www.brickpicker.com/reviews/set.cfm?set=70810-1
  5. Here's to Ed and Jeff for getting this live! CHEERS!

Didn't buy it but received a Slave 1 for my BDay from the lady.
  7. I was able to find the hot dog suit minifig, yay!
  8. In the back of the instructions for the Valentine's Day Dinner set, there was this picture showing the next possible small seasonal set of a diorama. No official name just yet same as the other for a few days but it appears to be another couple this time decorating the eggs for Easter. Just noticed this will have some dark red masonry bricks which is fantastic in my opinion.

Available from Shop-at-Home for August 2015 as a freebie within certain purchase limits whatever they may be.
  10. It's never a slow day when you are posting...
  11. on a serious note. I would think it is same to assume that AA, HH, TH and R2 are not as heavily hoarded as the GE
  12. There are no refunds from Brick Classifieds (unless it is a system generated error and you got charged 10 times for one transaction or something like that). If a transaction happens properly, we collect our fee for the advertising of your listing which was completed at that point. If you want to include a restocking fee, that is up to you, make sure it is listed on your policies and explain that to the person who wants to return an item and I guess they will need to pay you via paypal. All of this is after the transaction.
  13. I wouldn't communicate with the seller by phone. I would communicate through only eBay's message system so that all communication is documented and can be accessed by eBay customer service.

    May I suggest this?

At least she didn't cash in the $10 in points you already had. :)
  16. I was told on the phone by CS that as long as it's documented through messaging that I am ok to send to the requested address. Never hurts to double check though, just to be safe!
  17. Thanks for the tips - I will now begin selling off my Rovers, and try to accumulate as many Simpsons Houses & Winter Village Markets as I can.
  18. Want Ads are currently being worked on, it will be a full featured module. You will see it probably in about 2 weeks.
  19. You aren't a serious investor unless you have 100 rovers....sorry buddy ;)
  20. Search lego 75060 it shows a price of 104 and ships in Feb.
  21. Well, the day is finally here. Brick Classifieds has finally launched after numerous versions, trials and tribulations. Jeff has worked real hard over the past year and a half to give LEGO fans, collectors, investors and those dreaded resellers a place to sell their AUTHENTIC LEGO items for a fair fee. Jeff and the BETA testers have been working hard correcting minor issues and improving usability. There will be issues and shortcomings, but this is what the BETA is for...to work out the kinks. We want your feedback. With your input and patience, we can all benefit from our new venture. You can read the INTRODUCTION TO BRICK CLASSIFIEDS, RULES OF THE BRICK CLASSIFIEDS and the BRICK CLASSIFIEDS FAQs to learn more about the basics of the site, but here are some basic guidelines and rules: Please post at least one actual photo of the item you are selling. IT SELLS. Trust a long time buyer like myself, in today's world of frauds and fakes, pictures help reduce issues and improves sales. Please list and give an accurate description of the items being sold. Please package and ship items properly Please leave honest feedback. Both buyers and sellers will be able to leave feedback(it will be implemented fully in a couple of days). Use PayPal to exchange money. Price your items reasonably. Our fees during the BETA are FREE, after the BETA, there will be a 2% commission added to every transaction, the lowest in the business. Pass these savings onto the buyer. Be honest. No funny business. No fakes. No dropshipping. Only real LEGO items will be sold. Jeff and I will try to help with any serious issues, but the bottom line is: The Transaction is between the buyer and the seller. Brick Classifieds or its owners are not responsible for any listing or transaction. We are the advertising source. We accept a small fee for this and will recommend that members leave feedback and report issues to PayPal. Honestly, if you want guarantees, use eBay or Amazon and pay 10% or more commissions. I hope that the BrickPicker community enjoys the Brick Classifieds and uses them to make lots of money. Jeff and I will be working hard to improve the current version and to spread the word throughout the LEGO community and beyond... Thanks...Ed Mack
  22. I guess I posted in the wrong thread. I found 5 death stars at a local liquidation store (mom and pop type) with outer boxes and were in perfect condition for 240$ each. also picked up 3 simpsons houses for 140$ each (boxes were horrendous though) an arkham asylum and Parisian Restaurant for 100 each$ my favorite store ever!
  23. A bunch of little emerald trains for $1.50 and some decorate the tree polys for $2.40.
  24. Yeah, nicer than me, too, by about 2 and 1/2 weeks. Rule #1: Don't list it until you have the materials in your hands to safely ship it. I don't even know what to say about tissue paper packaging. In winter no less. I may have to take up drinking.
  25. I am on the wagon. If another box gets delivered to my house the old man is going to have me committed.

Wow, looks like a Walmart.com shipping department employee decided to take their talent to eBay.
  27. As a condition of the sale, you should have requested the guy send you a picture of what he's building with the 10 Uruk Hai sets. Might be an epic setup!
  28. I don't understand the need to ask people how many multiple copies of sets they own (aka bragging - yes, it is bragging). It seems like the same people ask / posts all the time in different ways. Additionally, who really knows how many sets we own? I could own 6 or 26 R2s and nobody will ever know for sure unless they visit me. Please bring beer if anyone does visit. So I think if someone wants brag about the # of sets he / she owns, please include a selfie in front of the sets so other members can laugh at you.
  29. 28 10225 for me. I passed up 6 that i am now regretting.
  30. 1. I believe it is for 15 minutes or until you remove it from your cart 2. Shipping is already included. There is a tab on the details page that will tell you what the shipping would be for your region. If they do not ship to your region you won't even be able to add it to the cart. The shipping cost should show up on the checkout as well unless its free.
  31. Bought today: - 2 x 9446 Ninjago Destiny Bounty - 2 x 70006 Chima Cragger's Command Ship - 70505 Ninjago Temple of Light Got a Plastic Man and Bilbo Baggins poly free with my purchases.
  32. This problem has been happening for the last few days. Some of the sets have been disappearing and then reappearing later. Check again in a couple hours. It could be back by then.
  33. Only when they import it on the plane or whatever back to Brazil. It shouldn't be your worry.
  34. I'm still having the same issue. I've double checked my settings and all looks well. I think the next step will be to delete/reinstall the app.!?
  35. Can someone please answer this as I also haven't received a push notification since before Christmas. FWIW, I have an iPhone. Thanks
  36. To be completely fair, he would need a pretty big box for your purchase. I'm on your side though, kind of ruins the surprise otherwise:
  37. This feels like a good play set and it's nice to look at just as well. The price is a tad 'iffy' and I realize there is quite a bit of large pieces but perhaps if it were five dollars less from the odd retail of $54.99 that reminds me a little of when Walmart increased the price of their exclusive Starhopper last year to $44.99 from $39.99 (for my area at least). The new molded Flounder is perfect however poor Sebastian did not seem to get the same complete treatment but still nice to include him anyway. A few of the new 'glitter' parts like those crystal balls are in this set which could help too.
  38. EBay Damaged X-Wings are flying off the shelves. 2 x 9493 - $90 1 x 9493 - $95 Umbaran MHC - $47 Orc Forge - $65
  39. I like your idea. This is where the community will have to help Jeff and I. We are quite aware of counterfeits and it is an ever increasing issue. Jeff and I will monitor listings carefully, but there will be some frauds that will try to sell a $100 minifigure for $5 and we won't catch it. When this is ready to go live, we will post the basic rules in the Classifieds forum along with what is in the sites FAQs and help pages. We will be much more proactive with counterfeits than any other site. This I can promise, but we will need everyone's help to get rid of questionable listings.
  40. Built two sets tonight: 75050 B-Wing 75003 A-Wing I'm just going to say it. Those two are my favorite fighter ships from the OT. I think it's from playing X-Wing for far too many hours in the 90s. But I love those ships.
  41. One ring to rule them all...
  42. Having only recently emerged from the Dark Ages, I can't speak from experience, but I do like the Architecture sets both for their uniqueness and stylish presentation. It's something you could give to a non-Lego fan (adult or teen), w/o raising any eyebrows. These are not "toys" but anyone who builds one will find themselves having fun in spite of themselves. The ol' inner child exists in all of us (even me at 64, ha ha). These sets cut through the barriers we've erected and allow us to find him/her. They're also great for bridging generations--found myself comparing build notes with an 11-yr old grand niece this Christmas. She loved the U.****** Building, btw :)
  43. hmm, could pairing with DO increase the value of the flower cart in long run?
  44. Men talking about weiners, how else could it go?
  45. What are you waiting for? Build them! They are wonderful! With me it still says OOS delivery in 30 days. First signs of EOL???
  46. Perhaps we can put E for eBay Amz for Amazon CL for craigslist BL for bricklink to let people know where the sets were sold.
  47. 1st sale of 2015, Elsa's Ice Castle $65. 9999 more transactions like this one and it will be a good year. Edit: Sold to a buyer in HI...so technically I sold an item back in time.
  48. I think if more people built the Pet Shop along with some of the other modular building sets, they would understand.
