  2. I went into Target today and there on the floor was a Sea Cow. Surprised the (*&^ out of me. I have not seen too many of those on target shelves (zero) so I picked it up and looked at the UPC tag and it said "On-line Deal $174.96" Sure enough - it rang out for $174.96 and then I used my target Credit Card for another 5% - so total with tax was $176. Woo Hoo. I threw in a Joker Steam roller so I could get the minifigure cube as well. Merry Christmas to me!!!!

  4. Here is Version 1.0 of the Brickpicker LEGO Stock Tracker. There will be a few different pages and trackers released over the coming days. This one here will be one that is updated very frequently. This list here will not grow to 100 sets or anything like that. I want to keep it focused on key sets that are desirable and sought after. This tracker will also be enhanced over the next few days to setup alerts via the site as well as email and SMS. I have included the current price on the site as well as an alert icon if the current price is higher that retail MSRP. You will also see how long ago the in-stock status was checked. This page also works well on mobile devices. For now this page is open to everyone to see what it is, but as I finish the upgrades you will need to be a member and be logged into the site in order to access it. As I mentioned earlier, there will be other pages that will be monitoring all of the sets stock and prices on Amazon, Target, LEGO, Walmart and TRU. These should be live by next week if not sooner. We will use the thread to discuss adding or removing sets on this list of constant updates. I hope you like the start, it will continue to improve. Let me know your thoughts. http://www.brickpicker.com/brickwatcher/lego_stock_checker.cfm

  9. We could just look at the chart and figure stuff out ourselves. We have a stock checker and now we need it as easy as possible to instantly know what the best prices are and what's not. Come on just read the prices for a couple seconds. It's a great feature even if it's black white and grey because the information can be analyzed and read.

  10. What's with the desire to eat LEGO ? First DNIIM, and now you too ? Ideas for the Macks for BP T-Shirt: "I love LEGO so much I just want to eat it" :D :D

  11. Careful about that, DNIIM already is looking forward to eating a Town Hall. I recommend adding bacon and BBQ sauce.

  13. Two things: 1. To CC.Marley so sorry to hear about your dog, I hope for a speedy recovery. 2. My complaint is about my brain because it finally let me down. I had packages delivered and for the first time, I could honestly say "I don't remember ordering this." Stupid Lego. Ex Astris, Scientia.

Turned the table into a grid, all columns are sortable and it is searchable got rid of the red OOS and made it light gray so that it doesn't jump out at you as much as the in stock listings Make the font bigger on in stock bolded the price to make it easier to read for now i removed the automatic refresh, i am trying other options added the log at the bottom Time to make dinner

  22. The mansion is lame and the figs aren't that great. I think the seaport is a great set because of war machine...the boat is lame though. Chances are slim they remake the war machine so I think this one does well.

  27. I don't think there's not much of an option is there if there are no boxes to purchase? For example I got 4x Minecraft Farm today from Amazon in one large box. There are no boxes I know of I can buy that will fit these sets. From the 50 or so sets I've sold in the last couple of months I haven't had any issues with the bubble wrap method. I think worst case scenario a set gets mangled in the post, I'll just refund the buyer, pay the $15 postage to have it sent back, then relist it at 10-15% discount stating a damaged box.

  31. I think there are ways to maximize earning airmiles by watching for sales, using coupons and waiting for bonus airmile promo events. I havent looked into it, but there have been articles about people making money off of their purchases with the airmiles program.

  36. amazing! I'm reminded that there are so many talented artist who can create awesome Lego projects. This is not a matter of whether it will gather 10000 support because that's pretty much guaranteed. It is a matter of whether TLG considers the project military themed or not. If TLG rejects this project based on military theme, I can see the car by itself being a big winner. It doesn't even have to be hydra-themed...just the classic car is a winner.

  37. They'd never make an official UCS version of a location rather than a vehicle or other "thing" like a lightsaber. Location sets are meant to be played with, and the UCS sets are meant to be displayed--they gotta look good from all angles. That's why the Death Star and Ewok Village weren't UCS sets--just big and expensive with lots of minifigs. That's not to say they won't do a big, expensive version of Wayne Manor or the Batcave--just that they won't be UCS.

  41. Since the (expected) EOL of the TH, I would really not be surprised that TLG will stop producing SOH. It can take a long while before they will clear out stock, but with the 15% discount they can sell a few. I ordered at least one last weekend and I'm planning to buy more this weekend, of course I will check the seal codes. I really wouldn't be surprised if SOH retires within a 2 year lifespan and becoming one of the rarest large sets out there.. it's at least not hoarded. is the set really that bad? In my opinion it isn't. Ed is right about the 'weight'; this set contains a lot of large pieces. Furthermore I think they did a good job designing the building and don't forget it is a extremely difficult roof and design this building in fact has. I like the set very much, but perhaps this is because I did the road trip of my life in that beautiful country of Australia.. I really like it that almost nobody is buying this even @ a good discount. 225 euro is great in my eyes, that's almost TB retail here in Holland. Do you like Taj Mahal? or the Statue of Liberty? I don't.. but when I see now how good these sets are performing I really don't want to miss out a great landmark set. For me it's a no-brainer, it is still part of the great landmark sets. I really think this will be a big surprise for a lot of people that it will go EOL sooner than you think. Demand in the aftermarket? Everybody loves rare and exclusive sets.. the rarer, the more desirable it will become.

  42. Going off topic...the amount of hate the Ghost Train got (size, not being a 'real train', unlicensed theme, massively discounted for long periods of time, etc., etc.) went in one of my ears and out the other. I stocked up all day around the $50-55 buy in amount and couldn't be happier. Then again, I don't expect a doubling of investment months after buying and am generally conservative, but I expect the PSA to be the same. I'd bet that with a well planned buy in, you'll be pleased in eighteen months or so regardless of what folks are saying.

We really could use the help after letting all your personal information get hacked. By the way, we are not sorry, sucker.
