Hi- I am new around here, mainly a lego collector for my son and I for sets we want. I like to buy sets on sale more than anything when I find them...however have enjoyed reading recent posts about TH, GE, HH etc. The thrill of the chase is so exciting indeed. Today I went to Legoland Florida with my family, here is a synopsis of some of their inventory: HH- in stock but has its own place behind the counter, very low supply. TH- tons of them in every store, lots of stock per employee. SC- had two in the stores only- great seller for British visitors, we're expecting many more to come T1- tons Tumbler- tons, slow seller (prob because of price) GE ( I think I have that abbreviation right)- tons HE- tons Mersk- I counted 10 The lego employe I spoke to for a while ( we met most, my son was mini fig swapping all day) was a manager and we discussed business for a little bit. The big sets are slow sellers as most people who come are reluctant to buy a big set, because of the pricing and the large box for traveling home with. He also said that as long as a product was not retired, Legolands In general will have it, they are committed to carrying every product until it is retired- so as not to disappoint any customer and giving everyone the opportunity to purchase something that they want... With that being said- the hint was that HH was about to be retired first out of the sets mentioned, it had lost shelf space and they were placing behind the counter to actively clear their stock. He thought SC wouldn't retire anytime soon, he hoped it wouldn't as it was a great product for military enthusiasts and Brits. Legoland does not honor VIP and outs no limits on quantities. Interesting to point out that there were no Delorians, Exo Suits or RI's, when I asked he said he will get more in, the price point is so good that they sell really fast and in large quantities. All this info may have been covered elsewhere, I resisted the urge to buy anything my friend however got 2 TH's, 3 SC's, 2 HH',s with no sales tax and shipping to DC. My son raked up on mixels and my daughter mini figs- my wife was in shock that I did not buy any more than that. Thanks for this great resource, I love this website, may the lego gods be good to you all.! Cheers8 points

I can confirm that Legoland florida is out of stock all lego and enforcing the ban hammer for any purchase over $50. Nobody ever go there. The first rule of Legoland FL is we don't talk about Legoland FL.3 points

No. eBay. I will post a link when they become available. Usually, they are below MSRP.3 points

What I find interesting is that pictures, reviews, etc. can be found/researched before a set is purchased. Some reviewers claim to even do this, then purchase the set anyway and complain about the size. WTH??? Did you think Lego was going to send you a bigger set with more detail?3 points

Too many newbies on the dd thread asking for advice or tell *** me what they ordered . Not the day or weekend for it. I refill a plate and pee and have fifty updates.2 points

agree with 1. there are drone videos already showing this. #2 - ok . no empiric evidence yet - no leaked photos. won't you be sort of bummed out if in fact you are wrong, there isn't a new MF until late 2016 and next year when movie comes out and 7965 has been EOL for 8 months, they are selling for $350 you don't have any in your closet? or worse yet - its another MIDI scale MF that comes out next year because they want to make a ton of money selling 650 piece $70 MFs and then you know there's nothing in the pipeline til 2017 and 7965 gets up to 400ish?2 points

To me, the Birds set takes LEGO to another level. It is a classy and informative set that teaches as well as entertains. I think people get too wrapped up in PPP and other typical LEGO barometers. This is a small UCS set IMO. Great job and investment2 points

I had a pretty good craigslist score today. Bought the following used lot. All look to be complete upon first inspection. 10173 holiday train 4512 cargo train 6990 space monorail 6921 monorail accessory track 6211 imperial star destroyer 7823 container crane depot 4520 curved track (new/unopened) a huge tote of extra 9V train track all for the grand sum of $350. lot calculator shows a bp value of $1236, not including the extra tote of track. I am super stoked and cant wait to dig into this, but it wil probably have to wait until after the holidays since I have been so busy lately.2 points

Who knows with Walmart. TH cancelled several weeks ago and then pops back into stock. GE sold out everywhere, yet they have quite a bit of stock. I pretty much order and buy and if they show up, they show up.1 point

It was love at first sight. Bad pun aside, sadly I am not married although I did have a nice fling with one. Free spirit lovely as the ocean breeze matching the color of her eye, hair fair like the leaves in Autumn, ....and an amazing arse. Never became serious about any sort of relationship but it's alright. She seemed to have found her true mate down the road, had a son, and we are still friends. I must say the boy is a real tinkerer and smart but hardly talks. Of course he plays with Lego which means that's all I end up doing when visiting. Haha. Oh and by the way the plural of Cyclops is Cyclopes. Just letting you know. Anyway, there really haven't been many problems political or otherwise between Orcs and Cyclopes. Sure some problems and a few unavoidable tragedies in the past but it's all good now. Actually most of the strife usually has and continues to be caused by Ogres especially the 'double headers' mainly because they are just so, well, incredibly stupid.... bless their heart. Two heads better than one? Not in this case. Also Goblins are some of the nastiest pickpockets you will ever meet but they make good cheap labor (from all the community service mostly).1 point

Got my HH order from Amazon last week. Seal codes 44R3. Both boxes were damaged and the nice lady gave me 20% off the order :)1 point

I have never purchased a sealed case of CMF but this will for sure be the series that I start. Really looking forward to these!1 point

The Birds set is a nicely artistic set I must admit. The box is lovely same as the bird builds inside. Well done, Lego. The first completely original CUUSOO/Ideas set based on nothing more than the beauty and wonder of life itself.1 point

If the head on the Alien Trooper was red, he would look like Zoidberg. And am I the only one to see the Evil Wizard as Ming The Merciless? Haha. The new battlevest for the Galaxy Trooper is awesome and I will get a ton of him same as the Goblin 'cause, you know. I think she's hilarious and probably what some of us have woken up next to in the morning. :whistle:1 point

Hi! Make a few profitable investments, buy her a new bag or whatever she likes from the profit and suddenly she becomes an enabler.1 point

I'd suggest building it and, if there are any missing pieces, ask for them through Lego's missing piece, customer service link on their website. Or, if you don't want to open all of the bags, go through the portion of the instructions for the open bag and sort and count pieces. That could be rather tedious, though.1 point

I feel like this about most Architecture sets; part of the Lego/art aesthetic is its accessibility - esp. if you happen to be talentless.1 point

I still can't understand TBBT was picked and produced. I like the show but I don't find this 'epic' enough to justify making a set of this.1 point

I'm at the Lego store today filling a pick a brick cup and I found horses on the wall! So I grab a few and a little kid comes buy and he is taking his time filling out the bucket, but is clearly picking up a few horses along the way, so I decided to leave him a bunch. The kid is going to grab some more and a guy in his 40's swoops in and grabs all of the rest. I was speechless...1 point

Hi all. Just a quick question or two for all you Canadian guys. I've been in the investing game for about 5 years now. I consider myself to be a long term investor, but have done a few local quick flips over the years. What do you guys find is the best way to ship? Using eBay? Are there any tricks or deals to be had? I just sold my first thing a couple weeks ago on eBay and because eBay told me to definitely have a tracking number, it cost me a fortune just to send a couple pieces of paper into the U.S. Of course I know it's my fault cause I offered free shipping, but let's say I'm going to sell a GE and want to compete with some of our fellow U.S. sellers...how can I with Canada Post charging me an arm and a leg just to ship it into the U.S.? What do you guys do to compete with free shipping and stuff like that? Thanks so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it. If anyone else wants to chime in, weather they're in Canada or not, I'm all ears.1 point

Eh the last MF was almost the same, just slightly smaller. I think this is one of those short term gainers when it retires. Last year I had about 4 of these, I sold them all during Christmas for double what I paid for them (170$). I have 4 more this year. I will definitely buy more if they go on sale again. But in general I think if these retired this year, they would skyrocket for a bit. But chances are with the new movie, new Falcon. Can't imagine we wont get one. This one will still be sought after, but I think it could be one of those quick gainers that kind of slows down, like The Hulk Helicarrier set. I would just say it will hit 200$ and then slow way down.1 point
