  1. Now: "Eh, this set is a dust collector." "Lego really screwed the pooch on this one!" "Ewoks are so LAME! ROTJ is the worstest!" First Signs of EOL: "Guaranteed massive winner!" "ZOMG SO MANY AWESOME MINIFIGS! SO MANY PROFITS!!" "F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5" Book it. Edit: once again, the proofreader has been sacked.
  2. That would be around 340
  3. Is that the same source that you buy your hallucinogens from? LOL
  4. 25% off for resellers (must show active eBay account with sales history).

  7. My sources tell me the $499 SSD + R2 combo pack will be available for purchase Black Friday weekend.
  8. 5 sets of the red series 1 mixels Looking for more Found at a local grocery store
  9. I love how easy it is to say "no" to good deals when my budget is already blown by buying resurrected sets off of Amazon
  10. This is hilarious and 100% accurate!
  11. Since the (expected) EOL of the TH, I would really not be surprised that TLG will stop producing SOH. It can take a long while before they will clear out stock, but with the 15% discount they can sell a few. I ordered at least one last weekend and I'm planning to buy more this weekend, of course I will check the seal codes. I really wouldn't be surprised if SOH retires within a 2 year lifespan and becoming one of the rarest large sets out there.. it's at least not hoarded. is the set really that bad? In my opinion it isn't. Ed is right about the 'weight'; this set contains a lot of large pieces. Furthermore I think they did a good job designing the building and don't forget it is a extremely difficult roof and design this building in fact has. I like the set very much, but perhaps this is because I did the road trip of my life in that beautiful country of Australia.. I really like it that almost nobody is buying this even @ a good discount. 225 euro is great in my eyes, that's almost TB retail here in Holland. Do you like Taj Mahal? or the Statue of Liberty? I don't.. but when I see now how good these sets are performing I really don't want to miss out a great landmark set. For me it's a no-brainer, it is still part of the great landmark sets. I really think this will be a big surprise for a lot of people that it will go EOL sooner than you think. Demand in the aftermarket? Everybody loves rare and exclusive sets.. the rarer, the more desirable it will become.
  12. Yes it was. I replied within 15 minutes of the ad being posted and luckily I was the first one. Drove out 20 minutes and grabbed it immediately before the seller could rethink it. When I got there he said after I called there were another 3-4 people right after me. Lucky!
  13. Use the lot calculator.
  14. It`s like returning items at the grocery store whilst saying "they didn`t taste the way I thought they would" ....
  15. Sounds like another investment winner.
  16. Hi Everyone, I'm Mike, an adult fan of lego from the UK. My wife thinks that I am mad after recently getting back into LEGO. My collection is only small at the moment, consisting of the Ghostbuster Ecto 1 and X wing (9493) I have the Tumbler (76023) sitting in the Lego warehouse waiting to be sent out (hurry up lol) and the Millenium Falcon (7965) waiting for me for Xmas. My 2 lads have taken an interest too and are eagerly awaiting Xmas so they can build what they have asked for Looking forward to getting new ideas for future sets from everyone
  17. 2 VCs at $140 each shipped. Time to raise the price on them.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try a few more times.

I'd keep calling back. I've had to call 8x before about a return they received AND rebilled me for. Don't quit.
  20. Also, HK, you might be surprised at what happens in the next year or two if you stick with this hobby. I couldn't have imagined having all 9 modulars but here I am with them.
  21. More Dynamic Duo Funhouses - $60 Creator Highway Pick-up - $75 Mixels Series 1 - Black tribe set - $40 Technic: Tracked Crane - $53 (man I flipped 25 of these last year that I bought for $11.75 or so for $30 - $35. Wish I would have held onto more Polybags Spongebob: Bikini Undersea Party - $100 City: Mining Dump Truck & Mining 4x4 combo - $60
  22. Oh my god! Have you noticed that you can only order 5 of them on LEGO Shop at Home and that on ebay there are only about 10+ different sellers that sell this item for about the same amount of money or less than LEGO Shop at Home does??? I already feel the panic taking over again... guess I'll need to buy them all... NOW! before it is too late!!! :-P
  23. This is true. The May time frame is popular for retirements as well.
  24. Maybe since they'll be busier they might have less time to damage the packages.
  25. Relax. When a set goes on sale at LEGO S@H, it doesn't always mean imminent retirement. But what it tells me is that LEGO must be having a hard time selling them or they are clearing out their inventory.
  26. Friends Downtown bakery is also SOLD OUT.
  27. I've weighed all of mine new and old and they are on my scale if I remember right 5 lb 11 oz or 5 lb 10.8 oz including one that is over a year old. I think the bag #7 problem is blown out of proportion. That's my personal opinion though. I think newbie77 reported on here it was missing bag 7. Then one other person on brick set said two sets they bought were missing bag 7. That is it. No more from what I can find on google. Until I see lots more complaints I find it hard to believe their is tons of missing bag 7's out there. http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/17340/r2-d2-10225-has-missing-bags#latest
  28. And we still don't believe the production problem has anything to do with the missing bag #7?
  29. My 6 year old loves minifigs. She has no point of reference for the Simpsons (she's never seen it). I overstocked Series 1 minifigs. I'll just be going with one set of these. And I'll be bummed that we'll have a "break" between regular CMF series for another series of these.
  30. I'll buy one set. I have one set of the first series, one Simpson's House, and I'll probably just have one of these. Then, I'm good.
  31. Limited release of Star Wars 7 trailer this weekend (Nov. 28 - Nov. 30). Nine select Regal theaters around the US: http://www.starwars7news.com/2014/11/confirmed-the-force-awakens-trailer-set-to-debut.html
  32. At the Movies with Siskel and Emazers.
  33. It's hard to use the "few bad apples" argument when over 5,000 innocent people have been killed by cops since 9/11 and on average 3 innocent people are killed per day by police. As for enforsing the law, there a very few instances when police actually enforce law, they mostly just respond to crimes.

Sold one $76 when amazon sold too early, might hit it again we will see
  35. I have heard of many collectors that returned sealed packs. Just do you smooshing at home and return the ones you don't want.
  36. BA I am sorry but I have to say it. Moo.
  37. Don't be mad at someone hustling just because you didn't think of it first! Better than sitting at your computer f5ing!
  38. Pretty lame. We applaud hoarding here. It's toos, will likely make one more appearance at LEGO Shop at Home.
  39. Ummm Tommy Lee had a sex room... With a swing. Winning.

Seeing as how the VP is such a VIP, shouldn't we keep the PC on the QT? Because if leaks to the VC he could wind up MIA and then we'll all get put on KP.
  41. Maybe. Most Lego image leaks seem to originate in Europe. I think Lego is completely insane to be locating any manufacturing in a country that rips off intellectual property with impunity.
  42. I have both the DS and EV on display in my house and when guests come by the first thing they all go look at is the EV - I've gotten many more compliments on it than any other displayed SW set I own. EDIT: random side note: George Lucas' daughter Amanda and I were on the same little league team as kids sometime between 1988-1991 and he used to come watch our baseball games.
  43. This is part of my reason for liking pixel art as well as many of the classic games from the 8 to 16 bit era. I actually like seeing all the little dots that form up the images I am looking at as I play. It can take some mad skills to come up with something like this drawing every single pixel using a limited palette of colors. (This one only used 32.)
  44. Sell it and buy a quality used one to build. The set is easily worth 2500 EURO. If it is a First Edition, even more than that. You can easily clear 1000 EURO after taxes and commissions IMO. It is found money. I have a few myself, but I am holding onto mine. It's a personal choice, but maybe not a wise one.
  45. The Cargo Truck is a remake of this set: http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=7733-1 Considering that this one is worth over $100 dollars right now, the Cargo Truck is definitely a sturdy investment. Thunder Wings is a small Creator airplane, and there has been a similar one like this in the past: http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=4953-1 Thunder Wings and Fast Flyers both have the same retail price, and Fast Flyers has a value of ~$60 dollars. They are both good investments. I do not think that either of them will fail.
