Look at it this way. If the set remains out of stock and retires , it will be the shortest run of any Modular. It is the largest Modular. It will be the least owned Modular since the Green Grocer...by a large amount. People just didn't pay attention until it was too late. To say the set is boring or unappealing is unfair. There are a lot of people trying to make themselves feel better because they missed out and spent their money on Exo Suits and Campers. This is a beautiful set and will be wanted by many future Modular fans who didn't get the opportunity to buy one now to complete their collection. The Cafe Corner took years to get to its current level and so will the Town Hall. But people should remember not everyone loved the gaudy Cafe Corner and look how that has worked out.3 points

Without a Town Hall to uphold the law and keep Lego towns protected, I fear anarchy, pandemonium, and martial law may run rampant. Also, wolves. Without a city council to address the problem of wolves, there will be no organized defense against them.2 points

A shipping manifest showed that there were 4 containers delivered to NJ chock-full of Lego Town Halls. See if you can find them.2 points

I don't know anything related to such alleged illegal activity. He was banned from bp for trolling and nothing more. Also if we are working off assumptions I would advise that we leave him out of this thread2 points

One silver lining, if you want to call it that. If you loose the TR Plus 20% off FVF due to this, you do not have to worry about participating in the holiday return policy.2 points

Just read through this thread, and for anyone that missed it- someone with the name "Bricksexpert" chimed in last year. The nice thing with that Handle is you don't have to change it a bit if joining Ashley Madison.com, etc. On topic: completely, completely unfair this set became inaccessible in the U.S. So long before it has in Europe. Please take back The Beckham's. Give us the SSD instead.2 points

Sold a Mixel Series 1 3 pack 41500,41501 and 41502 for $39.50 shipped. Guess that means the complete series 1 should be heading higher than $120 soon if not already.1 point

Wish we had a dislike button. Why did you have to make Target pay for Wal-Mart's ad error? This is why we can't have nice things.1 point

Yep no complaints here. And you are right the seal codes have no useful information other than telling you when the pieces were placed inside that particular box. You don't just flip on a switch to produce pieces for a set it is a little more involved and costly than that. They may pack small batches every few weeks but the actual production for the bricks that are being packed was completed a long time before that.1 point

As many smashed up Lego boxes inside pristine shipping boxes I have received from Lego, I didn't think they repackaged sets with damaged boxes either. If they do they must be reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal f-in bad before they repackage them. My last Falling Water I got from them looked like it had been used as a Welcome mat at Fat Camp.1 point

Just came by to read this thread and I'm LMAO right now. I posted about loading this baby up and saying its done this year during July and August and got banned from posting. I posted not only in here but in the daily deals. Although I have only 12 of these, it beats having none. The short run on this will make this a big winner. This may not yield stratospheric returns like the HH but it will be an easy double immediately when it goes EOL.1 point

Exo is being carried by target on store. All my targets have a handful of stock on shelf for 39.99. Been that way way for over a week and none have moved.1 point

No, it is the "prequel" novel that explains how Hera and Kanan came together. Also gives a good bit of Kanan's backstory. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/A_New_Dawn1 point

The seller pays to ship to Amazon's warehouses. You will get Amazon's low UPS rates which are around $0.50 per lb if you fill a box. Max size of a box you can send is 25" x 25" x 25". You also don't get to choose which warehouse you ship to. For example you may have 10 Helms Deep. Amazon could tell you to ship 8 to California, 1 to Florida and 1 to Kentucky. You do have the option in that case to send all 10 to one warehouse and pay an extra fee ($0.30 for small sets, $1.30 for medium and large sets).1 point

I will tell you how I plan to use the BP trader feature once up and running. I absolutely love researching Lego sets, purchasing solid quantities, and making great returns doing so. Having fun, and making money doing so- can't beat it. Due to the nature of my work, plus family/home life, I do not have the resource of time (nor interest) in establishing an online store via EBay or Amazon. The time investment of dealing with returns, end-buyer inquiries, etc. is more than I am able to do. I would much rather have a wholesaler's approach- selling to fellow BP'ers at a profit-generating price for both myself and them. I place an extreme premium on qualified buyers, and would rather bulk sell/ship at a discount to an established BP'er than manage single-unit sales to the public. Can't wait for the Classifieds to be up and running.1 point

fixed your title. my return rate is very very very low on Lego. I do FBA 99.99% of the time. one thing of note: i dont sell expensive retired sets on Amazon though. to me that is a no no1 point

It's doubtful because LEGO wouldn't just cut such a large portion of a VERY POPULAR theme in one go. (Obviously, I don't have facts on sales but it's hard to believe otherwise) They probably won't retire half the sets we are discussing. Come on people - T1 Camper, Sopwith Camel, GE, TH, HH, PS, Orthanc, etc. all in the same few months?? Unless LEGO is attempting to alienate their AFOL community and piss off a portion of the TFOL population who are saving up for pricier sets, I'm pretty sure we can expect 3 from the list that I just named tops. The odds of all of the sets being modulars is pretty low at that. Several experienced members (as well as some with insider information), have given their opinions, and the arrows definitely don't point to three modulars.1 point

Picked up two sets of series 2 mixels for 60 and change. They are 3.99 at the local shopko and bogo 40 percent off. The real fun will be Sunday if they still have a bunch of clearance and a 20% off friends and family coupon.1 point

True, you can never pinpoint there numbers 100%. They designed them that way. Holidays are the worst when it drops from 99 down to 93 or 94 then they fix it and goes back up to where you were. I am pretty sure though that they changed the working from tracking uploaded to tracking validated by carrier from spring to fall. Could be wrong though. I always read them and come away with a headache and realizing its one or more things they are making harder to maintain lol!1 point

This doesn't always happen either though. Some people have you hold them, forget to pay for one item, etc. I can attest it happens a lot. What I do is, if someone says they are buying more, or will, or whatever else I will just ship one item at the lowest rate (1.93). I put that tracking number for everything until they decide and are ready to be done. I then create a real one, add that to the items and just void the other. Generally it works fine. But once again, something simple and obvious that Ebay just ignores for the most part.1 point

Thanks! The 10020 Super Chief was in the lot as well so really made out well. That one is just missing a few pieces I have already found, but the passenger car has me scouring the globe for several replacement pieces for the under belly of the car.1 point

These were my thoughts also when casting my vote. Even though I believe it's going to be hard to find this bad boy in the near future, I believe the official retirement isn't going to happen until early 2015. If the poll was a little more specific in time frames, the accuracy of what BPers really believe would be portrayed a little better.1 point

The fact is though, there is less chance of a kid getting 2 of these at Christmas and selling 1, less chance you'd sell this set if you got it as a gift, a lot of investors like to keep to investment on a set under1 point

I've got close to 90 of these now. However as it's not looking like retiring anytime soon I'm going to hold up buying anymore till next year. This is by far my most stockpiled set and I'll be aiming for 100-150 by the time it's done.1 point

I can comment on US stock based on my relationships with Lego GM's on the West Coast... Most stores are on week three of a seven-week run. Depending on store size, shipments are generally five minimum (one case), upwards of twenty plus for larger stores. Nowhere have I seen them last more than the day they arrive. This may differ elsewhere. My advice: Ask your Lego store which day their shipment arrives and be there that day thirty minutes early. Gratefully, in So. Cal. We have seven stores in a sixty mile radius; doing this I have acquired 11 RI's. Should work elsewhere.1 point
