Look at it this way. If the set remains out of stock and retires , it will be the shortest run of any Modular. It is the largest Modular. It will be the least owned Modular since the Green Grocer...by a large amount. People just didn't pay attention until it was too late. To say the set is boring or unappealing is unfair. There are a lot of people trying to make themselves feel better because they missed out and spent their money on Exo Suits and Campers. This is a beautiful set and will be wanted by many future Modular fans who didn't get the opportunity to buy one now to complete their collection. The Cafe Corner took years to get to its current level and so will the Town Hall. But people should remember not everyone loved the gaudy Cafe Corner and look how that has worked out.3 points

Without a Town Hall to uphold the law and keep Lego towns protected, I fear anarchy, pandemonium, and martial law may run rampant. Also, wolves. Without a city council to address the problem of wolves, there will be no organized defense against them.2 points

A shipping manifest showed that there were 4 containers delivered to NJ chock-full of Lego Town Halls. See if you can find them.2 points

I don't know anything related to such alleged illegal activity. He was banned from bp for trolling and nothing more. Also if we are working off assumptions I would advise that we leave him out of this thread2 points

One silver lining, if you want to call it that. If you loose the TR Plus 20% off FVF due to this, you do not have to worry about participating in the holiday return policy.2 points

Just read through this thread, and for anyone that missed it- someone with the name "Bricksexpert" chimed in last year. The nice thing with that Handle is you don't have to change it a bit if joining Ashley Madison.com, etc. On topic: completely, completely unfair this set became inaccessible in the U.S. So long before it has in Europe. Please take back The Beckham's. Give us the SSD instead.2 points

I think the topic you are looking for the is the Number of Sealed Bags in each Lego set. It has a lot of sets in the main list, so hopefully your set is there so you can confirm the contents.1 point

I went to Kmart and TRU, Kmart: Polybags and 2 Olivia Houses at Kmart in the 50% off clearance area, the polybags scanned at full retail, asked nicely if they could be adjusted, and they did.... Spideys @ $2.00 and Creator and City Polibags @ $1.75. Olivias House $35 each, got the only 2 left..... and 2 Complete Sets of Mixels Series 2, at full retail.... TRU, 2 Complete Sets of Mixels Series 1 at full retail, plus the pumpkin promo and a free mini-modular, the cinema.1 point

Lego announced the 2015 tour dates & locations today. They keep having a city close by to me so that is good. Its a fun day for kids & the family. I could not find a prior Kidsfest thread so I started this one, if there is one and it should be merged please do so. http://www.legokidsfest.com/?utm_source=2015+tour+announcement+10%2F23%2F14&utm_campaign=LKF+2014+Announcement+email&utm_medium=email Upcoming 2015 Tour Stops:1 point

Series 2 is starting to disappear. They're retired. You can still find them at Lego Stores for $3.98. They're around other places in the wild, but they are starting to disappear slowly. I need to heed my own advice, and finish up some sets that I'm building now. I don't know...I *really* want the Ghost now, but I don't know that I'm willing to do this. Just seems like it's too big a price glitch to take advantage of.1 point

As many smashed up Lego boxes inside pristine shipping boxes I have received from Lego, I didn't think they repackaged sets with damaged boxes either. If they do they must be reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal f-in bad before they repackage them. My last Falling Water I got from them looked like it had been used as a Welcome mat at Fat Camp.1 point

Blasphemy! I loved trekking around Middle Earth in the LEGO LOTR game and thought the free play was fantastic. That is coming from a big LOTR fan though, so I'm a little biased. I'm not sure I encountered any more glitches with that game than previous ones, but I really didn't keep track.1 point

I don't know anything about Mixels, are series 2 hard to find yet? They had some of those at Target too. Having pretty good luck so far with the minifigs. Identified about half of them. I know I don't have a Princess or a Genie in these 25 since all the rest left have normal legs so I know I need to find at least two more in the wild. Ending up with a few doubles so far too, got a couple each of the wizard, pizza guy and video game guy. So far have 8 different ones identified. It's getting easier as I go along. One trick I found is to pinch the baseplate up in a corner and shake all the other parts down to the bottom so the baseplate is out of the way.1 point

I believe it is the issue yes. I ordered in may 2 times same day. 1 order got cancelled promo. What I do now is order to 2 different adresses OR wait until the other order is delivered.1 point

As I see it, auction makes only sense if you are in a hurry or if you want a steady income, but for investment sets, the best is BIN.1 point

It is strange... It is YOUR historical plane! It would be like a Winston Churchill butter sculpture being sold on EBay to an American top-bidder. National pride is on the line. It is a true patriot's duty, for King and Country, to purchase the remaining 11,238 SC sets immediately.1 point

Knock on wood I e never had a return of Legos with over 50 sales in the last month and a half. All self ship. I've sold sets as high as $350 and as low as $3 plus shipping. I agree with others though and am thinking about stopping selling sets over $200 on Amazon. Problem is they sell for so much more than ebay. Helms deep sold for $190 plus shipping just yesterday. I'm intrigued about the shipping costs for using FBA but don't you have to pay a monthly storage fee for things that they store for you?1 point

Garage sales! He sold me three AT-AT powered Walkers for $44 a piece, plus worked a Foreman Grill and Different Strokes season three on Blu-Ray into the deal.1 point

fixed your title. my return rate is very very very low on Lego. I do FBA 99.99% of the time. one thing of note: i dont sell expensive retired sets on Amazon though. to me that is a no no1 point

The tracking just has to be updated within stated handling time, the timing of the actual scan doesn't matter. If you read the statement from eBay posted earlier carefully, that is what it's saying. The only change recently was that they actually validate that the tracking number you entered is real (meaning it has to get scanned at some point), whereas before I think people were just entering random numbers to get credit for uploading a tracking number.1 point

Lol, you don't think that would do well? I would put it right next to my Morgue and Animal testing lab, across the street from my Modular Slaughterhouse. And of course its all built on a Lego Indian Burial ground.1 point

This doesn't always happen either though. Some people have you hold them, forget to pay for one item, etc. I can attest it happens a lot. What I do is, if someone says they are buying more, or will, or whatever else I will just ship one item at the lowest rate (1.93). I put that tracking number for everything until they decide and are ready to be done. I then create a real one, add that to the items and just void the other. Generally it works fine. But once again, something simple and obvious that Ebay just ignores for the most part.1 point

I build in stages when I have time in my garage-workshop-man cave, and the TH is my current project. It really is beautiful, sturdy, and very well thought-out. I understand why some might say "meh" at first glance, but it's an iconic "city center" piece, not unlike the actual limestone courthouse on the city square in my hometown. I'm glad I have a few stashed away and one for me. I think it will do well as folks continue to build their modular cities and realize this is the building they were looking for to tie everything together.1 point

I can comment on US stock based on my relationships with Lego GM's on the West Coast... Most stores are on week three of a seven-week run. Depending on store size, shipments are generally five minimum (one case), upwards of twenty plus for larger stores. Nowhere have I seen them last more than the day they arrive. This may differ elsewhere. My advice: Ask your Lego store which day their shipment arrives and be there that day thirty minutes early. Gratefully, in So. Cal. We have seven stores in a sixty mile radius; doing this I have acquired 11 RI's. Should work elsewhere.1 point

The question is do you want a fast nickle or a slow dime? I am generally content to set my prices on eBay at a bit about average on most things, and sometimes well above average if it's something I am confident hasn't reached its top price. If you need cash, the fast nickle may be more appealing. If you can wait, the attempt at the slow dime (knowing you can drop the price to the fast nickle at need) may work for you.1 point

Four out of the Five TRU I have tried tell me I can have the free set, or the 25%, not both. Some right away, some after failure to scan it all successfully, some with managers involved and some not. Finally over the phone I found a cashier who rang up a Batcave with the CC discount and "Bricktober freebie" before I got there to test it, confirming it went right through with both deals. She only cautioned me that it couldn't be a "hot deal" set. When I arrived, she was super cheerful and whipped out the pumpkin polybag immediately. When I asked about the Pizza Place, she looked dumbfounded. Long story short, it still all worked without any apparent override after a small delay when she figured out that she had to press the TRU CC button after ringing up the Bricktober set (This after Membership number / 25% coupon scanned in). I'm 99% sure I walked out with the polybag completely unaccounted for. So until further notice that is my strategy - present membership, then 25% coupon, then ask for Bricktober set, remind to press CC button, then ask for polybag (which won't affect my decision to purchase). Not sure how Thursday will factor into it since three of my whiffs were last week and the one success was Monday night. Hope that helps...1 point
