I picked one up in a used lot a few months ago, it's a great build. Make sure to crack open a cold beverage first. Makes cutting those seals a whole lot easier.3 points

Set Name: Cloud City Set Number: 10123 Theme: Star Wars (conflicting reports whether it's an UCS set) Year Released: 2003 Retailed Price: $99.99 # of Elements: 698 (box), 675 (Bricklink) # of Minifigs: 7 plus 1 Han Solo carbinate brick Introduction : 10123 is often considered the 1952 Topps Mantle of non-UCS Lego sets. As of Sept. 2014, expect to pay between $625 and $1,300 for this set depending whether new or used plus condition and included contents such as the box and manuals. I purchased this set in Dec. 2013 and been meaning to build it for a while. My complete set was purchased pre-owned including the retail box and build manual. It should be noted this set was released in 2003 while The Lego Group was in turmoil. That might help explain why 10123 was a Lego store exclusive in the United States. Additionally, many AFOLs have stated on internet forums the set2 points

Just when you think you've read everything, now we've got the UCS X-wing as an under the radar set.2 points

take 60-90ml of the good stuff ... like macallan; or glenfeddich or glenlevit ..... that would make you do wonders2 points

...if you build now, enjoy them you will, but you would destroy all for which you have fought and suffered.2 points

I think they are just trying to overload resellers with Chima polybags, so they'll drown in them.2 points

It seems like there is a misunderstanding. The 21011 Brandenburg Gate was released on 08 Sep 11 according to Brickset. The 21001 Empire State Building was released on 01 Feb 09 according to Brickset.2 points

The train did not last, the last ship did not last, this will not last. Lego would not admit a mistake and reissue this with printed rather than stickers. A fork is stuck in this set, it just needs a carving knife. I am loading up on 10/1.1 point

It will take more than one cold beverage for me (probably 100 oz or so), but it will happen!!!1 point

it's the only way they can unload the Fire Bike polybags. They'll cancel them again after we get our free polybag (to be used for spare parts)1 point

Yesterday, I built the 6090 Royal Knight's Castle I received this as a gift a couple of weeks ago so I probably will not replace the missing minifigs (1/2 of them) but I will buy the 4 missing pieces as they are cheap. As I did not have the instructions, I had to work with the online set; unfortunately the first 15 steps (of 57) are rotated 90 degrees so that made it challenging. I forgot how neat the 90s castles were (I was a city builder, one of my brothers was the castle man)1 point

For fun, someone with extra stock and a hatred for the set should build it and try hitting it with 1.21 GW of electricity. Please video it and post link.1 point

Had Sep 9 and Sep 15 on backorder - only Sep 15 is cancelled. Glimmer of hope for the Sep 9 one?1 point

Mine also got shipped today ! But i have the feeling that they will be avaible in the next few weeks like the Exo Suit did. I will report the seal codes when i get them!1 point

Yes we should. The flux capacitors aren't even real on these things... For not being able to actually manipulate the space/time vortex, this set is highly overpriced, and highly overrated. Disappointing.1 point

Money that isn't there worth actual money. Yep, I just don't get it either. :scratchhead:1 point

I bought one used to build, mostly to stop me from opening one of the new ones I have, as temptation was running high. But also to help with other sales, it1 point

To me the triple-E is a 2015 project. There are simply too many exclusives to take care and there is only so much space available to store all those big boxed. I don't believe they will retire it in one year. I may be wrong but you gotta play the odds.1 point

Lol I sold it to him.... Great fellow brickpicker member. He has an awesome collection. I have very strong access to the Tumbler as I travel daily for business and have access to seven B&M stores in So. Cal. And AZ. For those interested.... In last two weeks: Three flips @$290, Craigslist One @ $250 to fellow Brickpicker who caught me traveling at THE right time, Two more inventoried to sell, and will continue to acquire as Holidays near. There are multiple Craigslist Tumbler listings that are keeping these below three hundred a unit- should get higher returns in less metropolitan areas, and much higher as holidays approach.1 point

Any analysis done today would be somewhat worthless (since it would be using data from a completely different investing environment).1 point

I have no problem with a user taking photos and showing there accomplishments of sets they've purchased, especially when that is a set they have recommended numerous times to other members. I do also agree its best to start early on these sets so you do have the time to build them up before they do disappear. I do have a problem with the second half of the statement basically belittling people for there choices of going and looking for the deals at Wal-Mart, Target. I for one enjoy going and so does my family. We plan weekend trips all around the southeast and stop in a lot of the stores on the way. Its a great way to break up the drive and walk around a little and possibly make some money at the same time. Theres a lot more to this hobby then just the investing part of which most of us are still collectors. The best run yet was when my daughter found the Vampyre Hearse and Mad Scientist to go with her Haunted House! The smile on her face makes it much more worthwhile then any of the money I make on Lego. Everyone has there owns strategies, budgets, and methods of Lego investing. Theres plenty of small and originally populated sets out there that aren't exclusives that have made a lot of money and gone double and triple value so to say one set is better than the other and only stock up on those sets is kind of pointless. Sure exclusive sets do well for the most part but they also are the trickiest to build up without getting banned. It could be argued the time going to all the websites and compiling all the discounts to get these sets in quantity just as "wasteful" management of time as driving around to stores. Only difference is you don't use gas. It all is work, time, energy, and money and however one wants to do it is there business. It goes back to thinking before you speak on the internet. The whole bottom of the post was just not called for. Most everyone is on this site with a similar goal of making money. How each person does it is up to them. Its fine to give advice which lots of members do but to generalize that if people don't do what you say then basically blast them on a public forum is not what the site is designed for. I've had a good time on this site and its nice to be able to give advice and receive it on a daily basis. There just is no reason to put people down.1 point

This is certainly no worse than when other members come on these forums to brag about how they swindled some unknowledgeable craigslister out of cafe corners and grand carousels for pennies, and then everyone on here congratulates them for a job well done. At least Emazers does it by the book and tells everyone else how they can as well, albeit to their own pocketbooks scale of course.1 point

Thanks for letting me know. I am a rebels nut. I know the Ghost & Phantom may not be the greatest set but I love them, the series and all the stuff about it (books, toys, etc). I got to spend a day as Steve Blum's assistant at a comic con, so I am stoked. Go Rebels!1 point
