  1. For all you guys who thought there is no way Emazers has 60 haunted Houses. I took these pictures before I boxed them up, Picture shows 59 HH, and I already had 5 Boxed up, and I sold 2 of them on a trade last week. Now if Lego gets anymore I will be buying More. I get alot of emails and talk to alot of you guys on the phone and as most no I have told everybody to start getting the Haunted House when ever you can don't wait to the last minute, and alot of you have taken my advice and have been buying them, as usual alot didn't. I just don't understand how some people didn't get any in 2 years, and alot of you that didn't get any or only a few would rather spend hundreds and thousand of dollars running around all day at Walmart, target, etc and buying clearance stuff, Now Some of the stuff was a good deal Like Sail barges $50-70 and a few other things, but overall stuff that will be sitting around forever. How many of you guys can look at all that clearance and other small cheap stuff and say why did I spend all that money on that instead of buying SSD,HH,TB,GE,Etc.
  2. Honestly, what is the purpose of this post? Why do you keep throwing it in people's faces if they don't listen to you or question you ("For all you guys who thought there is no way Emazers has 60 haunted Houses."). Not everyone have your expenses (lack of), bankroll, space, etc... Personally, there are others like me who can challenge you in buying sets but we don't pound our chests publicly.
  3. You must be new here. Welcome to the site.
  4. This is certainly no worse than when other members come on these forums to brag about how they swindled some unknowledgeable craigslister out of cafe corners and grand carousels for pennies, and then everyone on here congratulates them for a job well done. At least Emazers does it by the book and tells everyone else how they can as well, albeit to their own pocketbooks scale of course.

A day to celebrate (for me personally). My Lego youtube page reached over 1,000,000 views. Mostly due to the High Speed Passenger Train Video. https://www.youtube.com/user/allnewbricks
  6. I thought the same thing. I like his plan of action about buying the big sets instead of piddling around with possible stock of $25 sets on sale, burning time, gas etc. and I do like the fact that he practices what he preaches. A post in this context is just bragging and not cool. The same pics could be posted but with a different tone. The reality is, most peeps can't commit capital like you can emazers. What you do works well for you, but it doesn't work for everybody. Most of the pickers appreciate the info you share just those posts seem unnecessary. IMHO With that said, I hope you make millions! B)
  7. I'm happy I sold tons of small sets to buy dozens of Haunted Houses.
  8. Just like the old saying, "there's a post for that!" http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/3713-monster-fighters-glow-in-the-dark-changes-on-sets-9462-9464-9468/ http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/10130/monster-fighter-sets-no-longer-have-all-the-same-glow-in-the-dark-features
  9. This is a great post! Makes me want to get one and build!

Thank you so much for the advice. I'm thinking of going full time with this if the numbers are what they need to be by January. It's then I'll be able to put more creative thought into everything you just said. I was actually thinking of doing that for the upcoming pirate sets (having the opening logo and music match with the theme).
  11. Here's where I'm going to disagree. I think it does have the Beetle potential *because* it's 100 times better than the Beetle. I do agree that it's been hoarded a bunch. But, if you're patient (and I mean long term patient), I think you could get a pretty penny for this. This set will have appearl for a very very long time. And, people will get impatient and sell theirs off. But there will always be people that want to buy this set. Demand will far outweight supply on this set. Will you have to wait 5 years? Probably. As a VW enthusiast myself, I can be patient. And I've seen just how rabid other VW enthusiasts are. They won't care if the set is $500. They'll still buy it.
  12. I love how people are buying these all up now when I all I heard over the past two months is super smack talk and hoping other sets don't go "Delorean". I've always thought that this was a bada$$ set that will do well no matter what. BTTF is classic and not some flash in the pan. I have three. One for me to build and two to sell later.
  13. Yes, seller protections are few. It now seems that eBay is punishing the small sellers of the world. I guess that is why a site like Etsy has become so popular. We are shooting for early October to release the Beta to members so people can give it a try. I think many of you will like it.
  14. Stopped by a TRU Express near my house. They had the 9463 The Werewolf for $12.48. Took it to the register to pay and it rang up $0.03! My jaw dropped. The sales associate said it was probably because it was an older set. So I immediately started price checking other sets. Two other sets rang up at $0.03... the 9496 Desert Skiff and the 9498 Saesee Tiin's Jedi Fighter. I bought everyone they had. In total I got: (5) 9498 Saesee Tiin's Jedi Fighter (15) 9496 Desert Skiff (1) 9463 The Werewolf All for a grand total of $0.63!!!!!!! In other news... I did go to one of my local LEGO Stores and picked up my first 76023 Tumbler.
  15. 10187 Volkswagen Beetle for $500US. I picked this up for $130 last week and replaced the two missing "penny" pieces from other sets. The BP guide of $350 is based off of very few sales and there are no current used listings so if you were thinking of selling a used one, now is a great time.
  16. If you read the posts you wouldn't have to ask. It's pretty clear what people are saying.
  17. I am good with Emazers post and the whole discussion. I do not have a funding issue though I am nowhere near Emazers in buying. That being said the one thing I take issue with is, for instance if you have little funds, but if you can come up with enough money and can buy 10 RI's when they came out, flip them quickly and pickup 30 a piece and then have 300, or massively discounted sets and do the same, it can help provide you funds you may not otherwise be able to have in order to buy the bigger sets. It is like the stock market and the multipliers of investing and making money. IE those with more can make more. So if you buy a set at $1, and can turn it into 2$, then 2 into 4, then 4 into 8, then 8 into 16, 16 into 32, 32 to 64, and 64 to 128 and 128 to 256 and 256 to 512 and 512 to 1024, you can see the more cash you have the more you can invest in the bigger and make. When 1$k of big sets turns into $2k and $2 into $4k then you can really get going... I am GLAD I've caught some of the wave of the SSD, GE, Sopwith, RI, BTTF, and I think soon PS and TH. It is a heck of a time to watch these things dropping like flies. Maybe a couple will not go but I think most will. The only reason I did not invest into HH is I'd have to find somewhere else to store it than my house (we do not like monster type stuff) and it wasn't worth it to me. Do not rail on me, my family comes before my lego investing. It is obvious it will be making a mint soon. So everyone has to start somewhere and I admire the brand new small $ lego investor on his journey as much as I admire Emazers (and I do). I like to hope I am halfway in the middle of the journey with great things to come, once I am more on the other end of the scale then I agree I would be done finding the small $ sets and stockpiling lots of the bigger ones. I thin it can work for everyone, world peace...
  18. Ed understands puncuation. I'm one who doesn't think emazers is bragging or putting anyone down. I like the fact that he isn't shy about advising people on what he thinks is a successful and less stress free way of speculating on LEGO (and other toys). There's a lot of guys out there who wouldn't give up their trade secrets. He does. Is it a simplistic "hit them where they ain't" way of doing things? Of course it is.....but it's (if you believe that he practices what he preaches) reassuring that he does it and is successful at it. I've never got the sense that he's belittiling anyone who can't spend the cheddar that he can (I've seen posts where's he's specifcally told people NOT to buy on credit unless you can pay it off every month) and in fact has said repeatedly to buy what you can...be it one or a hundred. I like hunting for bargains as much as the next guy....but he's convinced me that on speculatiing and holding for a few years.....the big sets are the way to go.

  20. by what book??? I don't care what he posts or does but if you want to defend someone at least get your facts straight
  21. And we are still curious what happened to your stash of Epic Dragons...
  22. I picked up 150+ pounds of bulk this morning off of a craigslist add. Once I put all the boxes in my garage I opened the first one and was greeted by this. It's gonna be a good lot.
  23. Kind of like Apple enthusiasts...
  24. Had it not been answered, I would have never seen it. Clever. As for lifespan, I doubt it will have Death Star life. It is not even close to as memorable and recognizable as DS. It will run it's 2-3 year life and be gone IMO. One can only hope that a Cloud City playset will take the place of either DS or Ewok Village.
  25. Yes, I always use the chat function under the contact us page.
  26. The answer is in one of the earlier posts, but it shouldn't be too difficult to see.
  27. Oh my I see it, I love it.
  28. Done! Who can tell me what is out of place here?
  29. Can i ask where did u buy that stuff? Bought 2 horizon express, minifigures series 12, and 3300003 Lego store today

You deserve it. i remember your very first videos, when it took some days to have about 50 visitors. ^^ Internet is crazyness. Great job.
  31. Got gifted a 20 lbs box of bulk Lego today. Appears to be Star Wars. Noticed some minifigs in there. Haven't had the chance to go through it yet. I live in a neighborhood of about 500 homes. I'm the admin for the Facebook page, and do my best to help people out. Someone in the neighborhood was putting this box of Lego out on the curb, and two other people chimed in that she should give it to me. So, she did.
  32. Finally got a green grocer today! It's an open set. The guy I bought it from opened it to verify contents. Everything there still in sealed bags. Traded a haunted house, case of series 6 minifigs and 175 bucks. Good deal?

These are mesmerizing! Very professional, and that's coming from a filmmaker/video producer myself. If you really want to grow this into a self-sustaining channel, my one suggestion would be to use music and rhythm more to your advantage. Right now the pieces come in rat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat which is cool, but fatiguing on the senses, and the music has a sameness throughout that doesn't necessarily match the set that we're watching. I found myself scrubbing ahead to other parts of the video just to see what else was going on, and any given moment was pretty much the same as any other given moment. Like Lego-building itself, it can get a little monotonous. I'd find some royalty-free music that matches the tone of the set itself and then mix up the speed at which your pieces appear to go along with the music. Some ragtime to go with a train set, crashing nautical anthem for a big boat, something out of Fantasia for a Friends build, etc. As an example, say you were building the SSD and wanted to use the Imperial March (yeah, I know you should stay away from copyrighted music, but I'm just picking something everyone is familiar with.) The opening BUM-BUM-BUM could show some of the big plates appearing in staccato fashion, then the bah-diddle-diddle part has little pieces zipping in to go with the quick strings. Just a suggestion. It's cool as it is now, but really making it into performance will kick it up to the next level. Either way, nice work!
  34. GE, HH, and Sopwith all going sold out and most likely retired. Gotta love it!
  35. I'm only buying at $10-$12 right now. I'll think about buying more closer to EOL. Yes, I stumbled into some crazy Wal-Mart that clearanced this and the Hydra set at 50% off already.
  36. Not arguing with you but if they put a limit of 5 I don't see why they would ban me for ordering five total. Not ordering, waiting a day and ordering another five. I'll take my chances that a bunch of people try that stuff and ahead of me in the ban line!
  37. Im curious why the back order date is not being pushed back further and further, seems to have leveled off at september 29th.
  38. All invoices received and paid, total cost Bricklinking a 10143 September 2014:
  39. @Mikeur86... I feel for you and this is typical of eBay's shortsightedness and diminishing regard for sellers. Even though 99.2% feedback looks good at first glance, it's a little low for a high volume seller which may have set off alarm bells initially. Sorry to be smug but, in my heyday, I've made over
  40. I bought it from audiojugle.net. It's titled "Your Endless Possibilities"
  41. I think you have an opinion!
  42. I have had horrible luck with these at work. We had a whole cabinet full of these with sorted air fittings, machine screws and other spare parts. If you aren't extremely careful your entire setup becomes a bulk lot waiting for re-sorting. I personally like something that has a lid or a seal of some kind. For common bricks sorted by color, I use the Sterilite 6qt (shoe box size) containers. For gears, hinges, pins, connectors, minifig accessories, and other small sortable items I use these 24 compartment storage containers from harbor freight. http://www.harborfreight.com/24-divider-storage-container-94458.html I find it easiest to do a pre-sort with a very large lot. I recently purchased a 60 lb lot. First I separated into several different 12 gallon tubs by general type (basic bricks, plates, technique, minifigs and accessories, panels/windscreens/doors/windows, and other). I did this over several weeks about 3 or 4 lbs at a time. I was very liberal in my groupings. For example my plates grouping included anything the closely resembled a plate (tiles/modified plates/dishes/hinges). This helped make things more mindless so I could work on it while watching a movie, or have my young kids help. Next wash/sanitize each group. Then each group gets re-sorted. Basic brick (1 x ******, 2 x ******, M x ******) gets sorted by color and put in a sterilite container, I pull out any specialized pieces like hinges or modified bricks. All other parts are then sorted by function. Anything that doesn't fit into the 24 compartment storage containers get a ziplock back (the kind with the easy open/close hard plastic zipper). I know this makes picking out parts more time consuming, but with small children in the house and no designated lego room I find this to be the only option for me. It is very time consuming to sort a large lot in this way, but I find it relaxing after a stressful day and my kids love to help. Many times we end up building with the pieces as much as we sort. It is also a lot of fun finding interesting/unique pieces that I have never seen before, and trying to figure out to which sets they may belong. Bulk lots of misc lego like this aren't about investment for me as much as they are about the fun that I have with my kids, and the treasure hunt through a mountain of brick.
  43. Headlines: TLC riles up entire Lego reselling world by purposefully devaluing promotional items via extended availability! Also secretly reintroduces high value promos that everyone thought were already retired! Imminent doom forecasted!
  44. Too much irony in trying to predict the future of this set. All I know is I'm betting on the Cubs to win the Series next year!
  45. Hello, Thank you for writing regarding your selling account. We have reviewed this situation, and decided to reactivate your account. You are now welcome to sell items on our site. Thank you for your business on Amazon.com. Regards, Seller Performance Team Amazon.com
  46. I just found out about this because of a comment by Diabolos80 in another thread. I certainly didn't know about this until today, so here's the rundown: Concerning some sets in the Monster Fighters line, TLG was apparantly not satisfied with the quality of their Glow-in-the-dark ink, had some worldwide legal issues with the ink, or some other factor with the glow-in-the-dark stickers and print elements. End result, the following sets have had previously Glow-in-the-dark stickers or print changed and replaced with non-glowing versions: 9462 - The Mummy - The Mummy minifigure no longer has glow-in-the-dark print. 9464 - Vampyre Hearse - The roof sticker no longer glows in the dark. 9468 - Vampyre Castle - The entire wall and vine sticker sheet no longer glows in the dark. The box art for these sets reflects the change of the glow-in-the-dark parts to non-glowing versions; you will be able to tell just by looking on the box. This creates two versions of each of these three sets of Monster Fighters. Each has a unique Item number and UPC code: The Mummy Glowing Mummy - Item Number: 4654211 | UPC Number: 6 73419 16763 5 The Mummy Non-glowing Mummy - Item Number: 6032808 | UPC Number: 6 73419 19566 9 Vampyre Hearse Glowing Roof Sticker- Item Number: 4654219 | UPC Number: 6 73419 16765 9 Vampyre Hearse Non-glowing Roof Sticker- Item Number: 6032805 | UPC Number: 6 73419 19565 2 Vampyre Castle Glowing Wall Sticker - Item Number: 4654245 | UPC Number: 6 73419 16770 3 Vampyre Castle Non-glowing Wall Sticker - Item Number: 6032810 | UPC Number: 6 73419 19567 6 I don't own the Vampyre Hearse, so if someone has both versions item numbers and UPC numbers I'll update them here.
