They will either both be back, or neither will be. Or one will be back and one will not. Or both will be back briefly and then discontinued again. Or Exo will be and not RI or vice versa. There will either be one or more production runs of both, either, neither or no more runs of one or the other or both. It is likely that I will buy between 0 and 100 more of both. Prices will likely remain the same for RI, increase if supply is low, or decrease upon multiple more runs. For Exo the outlook looks the same. Mark my words, put it in the bank. My Lego manager insider told me, his wife plays bridge with the wife of a guy who works on the board of directors of some place that knows the CEO.8 points

Don't really understand why people almost always associate this set with "Halloween" Its a Haunted House. Its Haunted all year long. Its Haunted on Valentines day, Forth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas & yes, even Halloween. BTW, if you don't have one or want to get another one, buy it now, forget the Camper, GE, SC,PS ect...3 points

I know the catalog is a poor indicator of EOL, but I would have to say the HH is a goner if they are not promoting it in the Fall catalog.3 points

This doesn't surprise me, it seems like Lego uses a weak tape for the seals. As was previously mentioned in the exo suit thread, the seals on those sets are slipping due to the strain of the box flap, gotta keep those sets packed tight or they'll eventually pop. Also, the seals on the SSD's tend to stretch and slip if they're moved around too much, probably due to the massive size of the set and only have 2 seals on each side. Lego really needs to re-evaluate how they seal sets, really wish they'd just go back to the punch tab style boxes for everything instead of taped seals.2 points

I finally cleared off a shelf to display my B-Wing, I really like the set and it's pretty sturdy for what it is. The stand seems to work well, although a strong bump would probably knock it off. I've always loved this ship and the Y-Wing. I guess I have a thing for oddly shaped ships. I'm secretly hoping for a redo of the UCS Y-Wing to add to my collection.2 points

Some sets are at MSRP. For those, use a coupon, rewards, CC discount, and discounted gift cards. For marked up sets, price match with another retailer, ideally when it's on sale, then use rewards and discounted gift cards. I have consistently gotten certain sets this year from TRU at better prices than any other retailer, just have to plan your stacking carefully and wait for the right moment.2 points

Hi all, I'm an AFOL who came out of my dark ages about 5 years ago. Started flipping in 2011, not so much for profit but to support the hobby. Love playing and building wiht my daughters and just got my wife interested in building the Fairgrounds Mixer. At the high my inventory was about $20k MSRP in opened sets, but had to free up a bunch of shelf space so now I'm down to mostly things I hope to build in the future. The biggest lessons I've learned so far are: These things taka a lot of space to store. These things can be expensive to ship. Dont discount the value of your own time. Don't sell too soon!1 point

Just to add on, you going to make more than retail no matter what.1 point

I always read this set as Heartbreak Stables. I guess that is where you go to put down your horse1 point

Well, I did my part to help; called Lego and told them it was confusing to Star Wars fans that they keep the DS in production, since the real one blew up decades ago. As a result, I trust it will be EOL shortly.1 point

Lego knows it's market. Demand on this is largely due to it's rarity. If this set was everywhere it might not be such a hot seller, esp once the media stories faded out. Before this and exo launched everyone was high on exo and lukewarm on RI. Lego knew they could sell more exo so have been cranking them out. May have not been the same with RI.1 point

Nothing at my Toys R Us is tagged as red hot deal so I scored another heart lake shopping mall for $64 after the 20%, 10%, and $20 worth of rewards coupons. Cha Ching! Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker1 point

I think the point was that your statement reads as fact rather than opinion. It's a good opinion and one that seems to have a lot of potential, but it's still an opinion. The point being made is that waaaay too many folks around these parts state opinions as facts. We all know hotcakes sell, that parking lots are a great place to flip sets and that the Canadian border services folks in BC have better things to do than shake down people bringing home cube-vans full of Legos for their kids, but it is sure is annoying to continually read posts from people who come across as know-it-alls about Lego production when in truth 99.9999% (possibly even 100%) of the people around these parts know very little. I'll leave you with my own little quote... "Opinions are like ..." Nah, I better not. Note: That last part is meant all in good fun and in no way am I trying to rekindle the North America vs The Rest of the World debate from other threads.1 point

.. Or just watch Star Trek Deep Space 9 (DS9), available for free to Amazon Prime subscribers. One of the best scifi show ever. The show cleverly presented the different races (Ferengis, Cardassians, Bajorans, Klingons, the Founders, etc) as societies with their own unique rules and customs instead of as "race of the week" (exposed in 1 episode, forgotten in the next). It was well written too with episodes that managed to be distinct yet still part of the bigger continuity.1 point

I want to second that comment. The guy is old school cool and is a master at his craft. The fact that he visits here to impart knowledge when he does not have to deserves a huge kudos. I hope to see him on Wall St one day.1 point

Emazers if you're reading this I'd just like to clarify that you're a stand up guy and we all respect you. There is no harm meant, it's just friendly banter. In fact no I lie it's jealous spiteful greed.1 point

Haunted House x 2. Hope I get them. Been waiting to bite this bullet. Its time, hope my wife understands.1 point

Add the item from each seller to your cart (do "save for later" just in case...). If they have less than 5 or less than 10, you will be shown "XX left". If one of listing don't show that, then edit qty for that entry in the cart to 9991 point

How do you know if it's humidity? The seals on one of my sets just popped yesterday, the rest are fine. Hopefully, it's just that box. Mine are all in the basement.1 point

Don't get high on your own supply. Of course, if there is a Drug Cartel army storming your house - it couldn't hurt.1 point

I use those exact ones for my bulk pieces. Not a bricklink store just pieces. they work great, have four of them. You can even get dividers for the drawers. not sure how big you want to go. My original one filled up pretty quick with my first 16 lb lot. Also for the very common pieces consider a bigger set of sterilite plastic drawers as those big drawers on the bottom will fill fast with 2x1, 2x2, and 2x4 pieces. Another consideration is if you deal in both used and new parts you will need to have two separate filling systems to keep them seperated. Also I can see that being a pain bringing several in and out of the garage all the time. I would consider mounting them to a wall in your garage and having a table set up with lighting for a nice little inventory and packing station.1 point

IF IF IF TLG retires SSD (done), DS,GE,HH,SC, Winter Market Village, and maybe T1(?), it is gonna be one memorable end for 2014 ..1 point

If you can find Series 1 in the wild still, pick these up. I've been flipping set after set the last couple of days. TRU seems to have some still. I'm buying them out. They are selling for more than 2x RRP, which isn't bad for a freshly retired set. I've got plenty socked away for later, but they're so easy to sell right now, I can't resist the flip.1 point

Why are we discussing which sets are in a catalog in this thread?1 point

Look for sales early, often, and throughout the lifecycle of important sets.1 point

I deleted a few posts because of my error. The RI was in the catalog. No special notations.1 point

I bought an Imperial Flagship 10210 used missing three small pieces but comes with manual and box for $150 on ebay from a 1 feedback seller, doh. I figured I would take that chance as it was too good to pass up.. It showed as shipped just now. Keeping the fingers crossed.1 point
