I thought you were smarter than that. I own a car wash and washing a car yourself is a waste of time. Find a reputable local car wash and use it. Pay your $7-$10 and go buy a 10188. Think about it...How long does it take you to drag a hose and bucket/soap/sponge/towels out and wash and dry a car properly? 45 minutes? 1 hour or more to do it correctly? Then you have to put the stuff away and you waste water/chemical in the meantime. Basically, your hour of time was worth $7-$10. If I said to you that I will pay you $7 an hour for financial advice, you would tell me to get lost. Time is money...Ed Mack "Tip of the Day."5 points

I'm not taking any chances. I love this set so I picked up a handful from Target on top of two from Shop at Home. I'm happy this isn't like the Rover. I might order more. Now I won't feel bad cracking one or two open with my son when they arrive. This set has playability written all over it, not "exclusive/investors only." Investors may whine, but this Dad is super happy.3 points

**Updated with more behavioral examples** 8/1/2014 Many folks ask questions about "what does this product status mean?" Many folks use these terms interchangeably, and that's not helpful to the community discussion. These terms all seem to have distinct and meaningful differences. I think we can learn from them, and their subtle differences. I thought i'd put a post together to gather those statuses (Statii?) and some interpretations of their meaning. Perhaps we could also include examples of how products behaved while in those statuses. Obviously these statuses will change with time, so feel free to suggest better examples as things change. Lego Shop @ Home (in proposed order of most retired) Retired Product Example Orc Forge Example Super Star Destroyer 10221 (as of 8/18/2014) Retiring Soon Ex: Croc Swamp Ex: SSD never had the Retiring Soon tag, so this is not a required stage "Product Not Available" -We2 points

It remains to be seen, but most don't want to get caught again in the event of another Rover situation so they're taking the better safe than sorry route1 point

Picked up 2xexo and 2xresearch (limit 2) at San Mateo (SF Bay Area) this morning. Not crowded, steady stream of geeky afols (me included) picking up the same thing. I asked how many exos they had in back, he said probably enough to last for the day but not the weekend. He also said they expected more exos in the future and the limit was only temporary (like they did with the deloreans), fwiw1 point

LOL...A sure way to BrickPicker Purgatory is to bad mouth car washes...Just letting you all know!1 point

Listen, I really don't want to derail the thread, but I must defend my bread and butter business. Quality car washes like mine do not "mar" paint. We use clean, fresh water to wash a car, unlike a "do-it-yourself" guy with a bucket of dirty water that gets dirtier with each dip of the sponge. I drive top of the line cars and they never get marred, only enhanced. I just wanted to point out that people's time is money and wasting it and water washing a car at home could be avoided. Thanks...1 point

Figures as much but it seems I should have performed a little more thorough search for the Lego Classic TV Series Batmobile because it turns out about four days ago on the Toyark site that a member posted a really good review with the set physically built! I only wish the poster laid out the bricks for all to see and a more direct shot at the back fender. Still when you take a look at these photos, I'm sure you can agree that with everything considered I managed to do a pretty good job with only a single image from the box to go by. So far the visible mistakes of my interpretation are the turbo jet on the back which turned out to be the 2x2 circle grill part in light bluish gray (plus the f1 point

I wish to thank Grolim for all the amazing work! This was a very interesting game. The 6 month window did play in my favor in the contest. If we keep it running for another 6 months, I'm quite sure I won't be in 1st position!1 point
