If it is still of interest: There are 61 sealed bags in the packet. See this(german) review, point 5.22 points

Ed is almost done with it. It's one page and says "Buy low, sell high" He just needs to do some proof reading and spell checking.2 points

That's the thing though Jeff. What does a noob investor like myself have to offer to the more experienced investors on here, other than more competition? I've often wished I had more to offer the community on here, but I'm loathe to offer advice for instance, on something I'm so new to. All my buying is online and my investing is based on a simple big set/exclusive strategy. I'm no deal hunter either, so apart from the usual online stores that everyone will be familiar with, I don't have much to offer in that department either. I just hope the more experienced investors don't become strangers on the 'regular' forum, as their insights have often made me think twice about rash purchases, and given me plenty of food for thought since I've been on here.2 points

Currently available for preorder on No Starch Press, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble is Brick City Depot's very first book!1 point

Oh Anakin, your brain seems to always find its way into the toilet ....whereas mine usually ends up in the gutter. Ha.1 point

To answer your question, a simple 1 x 1 stud weighs about 0.12 grams, which is 0.004 ounces. Very, very light. I never knew Lego weighed that little.1 point

Euro bricks did a review of the series. There are 3 complete sets per box.1 point

there is a pattern of faint little round circles impressed into the foil at the bottom of every pack. you may need to hold it slightly offset with the light to see them. the pattern is unique to each figure. this is 100% reliable once you have made the correct diagram and hold it up to the bottom or memorize it. feeling the figure is not 100% reliable and also pack is not quite mint after your finger oils sweat etc get smeared all over. this allows you to sell the minifigures sealed for much more and also then you don't have to buy any extra packaging bags or deal with the hassle of taking it out.1 point

Ok, enough with the rest of this this and the book. This will go back to the topic now. The private feature is here for those that want it.1 point

I just started a private group and it is so private that I'm not even invited to it.1 point

And yet you only bought one? Meh! Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker1 point

The bump codes are on the bottom back part of the bag, where the sealed part is. There are bumps on the sealed part, but I find that feeling them for accessory parts is more reliable and quicker. Found a half empty display case of these at Target today for 3.99, picked up all 41 bags, managed one full set.1 point

Rise from your grave! Been a while since I saw this beauty. On a semi related note, I thought about turning the Downtown Bakery into an actual corner modular similar to this. Actually, I thought about turning each of the Friends stores into their own little modular. I've been in a 'modular mood' as of late. Ha.1 point

Since they are adding new Minecraft sets which started as a CUUSOO set, do you think they will do future sets based on Back to the Future or Ghostbusters too? I'd like to see some additional sets based on these licenses.1 point

This is a "must have", wouldn't you say? It's just sad this is "just" a MOC. So far.1 point

You can always just order it from Target, use a Red card and get 5% off. If you use Target pharmacy they send out 5% off coupons that will stack with the Red card discount.1 point

Yes it`s quite a lot for 1 set, but if you do really want one, I suggest you buy it quick. The price is only going to go higher and higher.1 point

I hate when people ignore you, even after they were the ones that posted on your thread (another forum) or don't return PMs.1 point

Congrats! I finally sold my first one today as well. $53 +$7 shipping. Keep raising your prices so mine look better! Lol1 point

Overall this section was created as a trial for: People that want to go into their own area and spew whatever garbage they want because they know we don't want it on the main forum People that are paranoid that Lego is watching them and want to change their username. People that think they have massive secrets and don't want to share People that feel that don't want to deal with noobs (even though they were once a noob) I am sure there is more we can add to this list As of this exact moment there are 0 people using it and it doesn't bother me at all. I just don't want to hear about it later if it gets removed from the site. If people think this feature should be free, sorry. Everyone is lucky that Ed is a nice guy. My original setup was for 500 Brickpoints to start and 10 a post. He talked me off the ledge. Bottom line, Ed and I try to cater to everyone. We have no fear in trying something new. If it works, great, then there is something here for everyone. If it doesn't. Then it goes.1 point

Let's see how this goes. It will be a very small percentage of members that use this. Post your questions as normal. Plenty of members will always be there to answer Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker1 point

I can see why some people have been requesting it. The only problem I see is that there will be groups (or even just one or two groups) made up of a few core members where all the useful investing info will be discussed, while the rest of the forum just becomes redundant and full of pointless chatter, useless speculation and regular Lego chat. And there are other forums where people can go for that. That could harm the site in the long run and make it less useful as an investing resource to relative noobs like myself. Which I'm guessing is why people have been asking for it....?1 point

I say it will be more like $550 but we are in the same ballpark. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker1 point

Really interesting idea! Will definetly take care of some of the spam/annoying posts and such. Not that there really is that much on these forums anyway (Brickpicker is far cleaner than many), but still, neat idea! Brickpoints is a good idea to help encourage quality posting as well, so I think that`s great!1 point

There are way too many punctuations in that paragraph for it to make sense1 point

Hello, My wife and I found a full box of the Simpsons minifigures at Wal-Mart. I know, not supposed to be released until May 1st, but anyway we opened the full box up to see the breakdown. Here is a link to our Youtube channel in case you are interested in seeing the figures. The detail is amazing and the accessories are really cool. Lego has outdone themselves with this, the MSRP is a higher for these than previous releases, 3.99 per instead of the regular 2.99. Here is the distribution for those who are interested: Homer 5 Marge 5 Bart 5 Lisa 4 Maggie 4 Krusty 4 Itchy 4 Scratchy 4 Ned Flanders 4 Nelson 3 Millhouse 3 Ralph 3 Mr Burns 3 Grampa 3 Chief Wiggum 3 Apu 31 point

But those are more expensive sets and different Kitties so they will not have any impact on the CCP.1 point

Funny I found this because I was just thinking the other day what would the Cafe Corner look like in a different color or (jokingly) perhaps as a Friends set? Well, whatever the reason, enjoy the 'pinkitude' and cuteness of the "Lovely Hotel". Here is the page on LegoGenre for this special MOC. The builder's original page and brickshelf gallery.1 point

I build the minifigs first, then I stand them up at the edge of the table so they can watch me build their home/vehicle/battleground. They appreciate it, maybe :)1 point
