75020 - Jabba's Sail Barge

Heard on Brickshow that these are coming this summer as announced from the London Toy Fair. I guess prices are going to drop now on the older sets. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on a sail barge on ebay last month.

Yes, please do your homework before making statements such as this.  It's very misleading to new members.

  •   Don't know what this is, but don't think I should google it.

  • Jabbas Sail Barge:  hey remember me? cladner:  Yes.  i just sold one of you for $167 on FBA.  ok for the buyin but not the hold time or relative to msrp.  you sucked as an investment. Jabbas

Looks pretty good to me!... At least I'll have the chance to get the Sail Barge at a price I'm comfortable with.

The old one was bigger and better looking. The only redeeming part is... Max Rebo!

  • 4 months later...

I was just checking yoyo.com for sales/deals on legos and saw that they had the new SW set, 75020, Jabba's Sail Barge, already listed (which surprised me as according to LEGO Shop at Home, it won't be available until Aug 1st.) But when I add it to my cart, it says it can be delivered by July 9th. Does this sound right to you all and is this usual/unusual for a set to be available somewhere else before it is available on LEGO Shop at Home? Or is yoyo.com being overly optimistic and untruthful about its ability to deliver that set almost a month before anyone else?

I placed an order. Need the set for writing a 6210 comparison blog on here. Delivery est stated July 2nd via UPS Ground. I'll cancel the order if that isn't the date. Might be an error like Amazon did last Dec allowing some buyers to purchase Jan 2013 (only TRU and Lego were selling them in Dec)

Yeah most likely an error but it doesn't hurt to try.

There is a seller on ebay who says he has more than 10 available for shipment mid July, I'm assuming he ordered them from yoyo. This is strange, interested to see how it plays out.

Yoyo.com isn't known for getting toys in advance...from my experience they're usually behind just a bit. HOWEVER, I have been buying things online from that company (which includes Diapers.com, Soap.com, etc.) nearly every week for the past 4-5 years, and I can tell you that I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. If you are truly curious, I would just call them, and you can talk to a live person. Good luck!

I just called yoyo and they retroactively applied the FIREWORKS code discount. Not bad. $20 discounted off the Sail Barge. Brings me down to $00. I feel better now since 75020 is way overpriced at $120.

Good to know it seems to be on its way. Interesting that they are shipping this one at this point... nice find with the discount code too. Keep us updated!

Im gonna wait on this set. I will have one for my collection, but no reason to jump immediately.

Look like it is taking them until July 6th for delivery now.  Interesting. :shifty:

If this holds true...we should be seeing some in hand on eBay for ludicrous prices by next week!

It looked like yoyo.com was prematurely selling the set.  Even though the above link still worked, my seaches for "Sail barge" or 75020 at yoyo.com returned 0 item

Just used the code too for the Rancor Pit at $46

I too have had great experiences with yoyo.com.  They ship very fast.

Just arrived via UPS Gound,

Looks like a big box of fun.

Looks like a big box of fun.

I dunno. I just shelled out $110 for a open but complete and boxed 6210. This new Sail Badge looks lackluster even for the $100 I paid. I think the 6210 was a better deal despite the dated looking minifigs.. Looking at the closed box on my sofa, I have zero interest to build it as intended.

Agreed.  6210 just looks better.

I ahve a feeling the set was more made because they made all the other parts of this movie scene.

If anyone lives around the Phila area and wants this (local pickup), send me a private msg. I'm just asking for retail price ($120) to cover my sales tax paid and a case of beer.

It is also smaller than 6210. I counted the studs in the picture (box still sealed) . About 4-6 inches smaller I assume. Also not as wide.
