I built my first vintage set. It was actually my first huge ship as a kid which had been misplaced years ago. Bought this one off ebay. It was a so great to assemble. If you listen closely towards the end you can hear how brittle the bricks while pulling apart the modules. Enjoy.

I'm not too impressed with this set. I do like how the scattered skeleton pieces can complete a full mini-figure.

I just wrapped up another Hobbit set. My favorite part of this set is that two sections of the castle explode.

Truly a great build. The dragon is like no other. Smug really towers over the whole set perfectly. I know you won't get as much joy out of watching the build as you would actually building the set, but hopefully it will provide of glimpse. Enjoy.

Just wrapped up a smaller set. I like how you can fit four mini figures inside. Great use of space for a smaller ship. I'm working on the Technic Lego Plane right now, but I'll have to stop half way through because I'm hoping to grab The Lonely Mountain tomorrow morning.

I was able to pick up a 100% complete, open Palace Cinema 10232 with box and manuals from Ebay. The Palace Cinema is, of course, part of the Creator "Modular" series and is considered Expert since it is labeled for ages 16+. It was released on March 1, 2013 and is the third corner building after the Cafe Corner and the Grand Emporium. The large red baseplate is unique to this set. It contains 2196 pieces, many dark tan and dark red, and retails at $149.99 USD. Some think the design is inspired by Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. The set contains 6 minifigures and a black convertible, however, my review does NOT contain the convertible due…

I was excited to discover most of the pieces to 7019 Viking Fortress against the Fafnir Dragon in a bulk purchase. After brick-linking the missing parts, I was able to complete the set. I do not have the instruction manuals or original box, so I used the PDF manual from Brickset. The Viking Fortress was the largest set LEGO produced from the Viking line 2005 and contains 1019 pieces. The set retailed for $70 in the US and 50 pounds in the UK. The fortress is a large structure made to resemble an octagonal wooden fortress - it uses a lot of the "wood" wall palisades similar to Fort Legorado - and comes with 6 minifigures, a large dragon, and a small …

Set Name: Cloud City Set Number: 10123 Theme: Star Wars (conflicting reports whether it's an UCS set) Year Released: 2003 Retailed Price: $99.99 # of Elements: 698 (box), 675 (Bricklink) # of Minifigs: 7 plus 1 Han Solo carbinate brick Introduction : 10123 is often considered the 1952 Topps Mantle of non-UCS Lego sets. As of Sept. 2014, expect to pay between $625 and $1,300 for this set depending whether new or used plus condition and included contents such as the box and manuals. Despite the controversy on its category, this set is another large, impressive "play set" priced as a UCS set. Regardless, it's an impressive display with a load of figures and a wide footprint AND also a fun and sturdy play set. Here's the bags and books: 3 large instruction manuals and thankfully only a couple stickers. 15 numbered bags, 2 unnumbered bags, and 1 loose baseplate.

The Lego Starwars 10143 Death Star II is an iconic Lego set that most of us know. I have been on the lookout for this for quite awhile and whenever i saw one i couldn't get it for a right price or i got sold under my nose again. Yesterday i lost another auction on this set so i decided to start Bricklinking it. I wan't to see how much its gonna cost me to collect all the part. At first i'm going to try to keep it to Dutch stores only and i'm already 2.000+ bricks in. The reason i decided to start this topic is that perhaps you guys like to follow the process, i will keep updating this topic till this set is standing at my desk! (I'm going to try at least ) …

Before I get started, I'd like to thank Jaisonline for letting me use his review technique and for bringing us some fabulous reviews that I'm sure we all enjoy! In this review, I'll be building the 3828 Air Temple from the Avatar theme! I got this set rather unexpectedly at a yardsale for $10 dollars. It was in a box that also had a few other sets (incomplete and complete.) Thankfully, this set was mostly complete, and was just missing a few other pieces, the box, and the instructions. I've been able to complete the temple and I think that it is definately worth the thirty dollar retail price. There are 42 total steps for the temple. I'll start by building the …

It took a while to edit this video together. I had the set in my studio for a long time and i just got to it. An awesome variety of pieces, big and little. There are a lot of different things you can build with the selection of pieces. Enjoy the video.

I just finished this build. It's a detailed look at 75053 The Ghost paired with 75048 The Phantom. A solid build with a lot of playability. Lego accidentally placed two wrong pieces in the bag. They look similar in appearance. I had to order them so they are not included in the build. Enjoy.

First of all...I really like black and red. There is just something about that color combination. Second, I had no idea who Jek-14 was. I saw this set on Amazon about 10-12 months ago. I thought the set looked really cool but had no vested interest because I was unaware of the Yoda Chronicles. When I finally got back from overseas this summer, I asked my kids. Boy did they rave about Jek-14 and his exploits. We watched the Yoda Chronicles together and I thought it was a funny series and the Jek-14 was an interesting character... So I bought the set. Just built it tonight. Only took an hour and a half with some "help" from time to time from th…

I just finished this late last night. Great build. Steering wheel is a bit big. Best part is the front and back seats. A close second is the picnic set fitting in the trunk. Enjoy the video.

This thread will be like my previous builds (links below). Intro : While waiting for the missing 10173 elements to arrive, i decided to build 10125. It was recently picked up on eBay for $109 shipped (used, no box). The $179.99 set was introduced in May 2012 and consists of 2,127 elements including a R2D2 minifig that was recently refreshed. The elements are in 15 bags. For more pictures of the box, please refer to this review found on eurobricks. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69410 Like other builds, I'll will walk through the building process, take pics, discuss various topics like elements used / how, and provide a recap. This thread will be like my previous builds (links below). Intro : Since I became a fan of Lego trains last year, 10173 has been the #1 train on my wish list. I couldn't wait to get my hands on one to build. Honestly, my expectations aren't high anymore since building 10194 Emerald Night less than 2 weeks ago. 10173 was released in 2006 and available only for the holiday season so the retail life was extremely short. As of July 2014, one can expect to pay between $300 and $450 for a loose set depending on condition and completeness. Sealed sets sell for between 3 versions of the train were available (from http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/10173_Holiday_Train ) …
