It's not just Lego I take to the extreme, I am also an avid fan of Christmas lights, and so I thought I'd share my Christmas light display with all of you: Anyone else taking it to the extreme with Christmas decorating? Thanks, Jim

Not sure if we have a thread about this or something new. Thought it be cool to share! My girlfriend asked me to wait up stairs (an hour later) I come down stairs to this!! I think she did a really nice job lol! She knows I love Star Wars and I guess wanted to me to get excited for the holidays. (Post pictures of your Christmas trees/decorations here as well!) Happy holidays everyone!

Any Clashers on here? I started the game this past Sept. Can be addictive trying to build up defenses/base...just when you think the next upgrade will be awesome, you always want the next level. I'm no where near maxed out (or in Champions league). Maybe there will be Lego Ideas set.

Anyone else into Pub trivia? I host a pub trivia night, and occasionally play Geeks Who Drink. Anyway, Geekbowl IX was in Albuquerque this weekend (Feb. 7), and I put together a team to attend. 140 teams total, and a fantastic event it was! Dan Band played a live round and the intermissions, and the competition was fierce. Amazingly, my team finished THIRD overall, losing only to a prior World Champions from Philly and Denver. Anyway, carry on. Just thought I'd share. Oh, obligatory Lego content: I write many of the questions for the weekly quiz. Here's one from a few weeks ago. "What Danish Company is the worlds largest manufacturer of tires by number pr…

Has anyone looked at the question from the Singapore Math Quiz? I figure that if people can debate the merits of VIP points, they can surely solve such an innocent question.

What apps are people using to manage their various coupons & giftcards? Example: TRU egift cards from Shopkick, bing rewards, tru rewards and digital coupons. Right there that could possibly be 4 apps that get that all together to check out. Right now I create a Album(iOS user) store name and grab screenshots of everything then add all my screen shots into that folder. The major downside would be if I delete that image out of my photos, the reference in the album is lost. I like to have all my coupons, gift cards & discounts easily available as I check out. I do not want to go to my email or browser etc... to grab items. Does anyone know of a app that helps…

Because we are a global community, I would like to create a thread for talking about the COVID-19 how this has impacted you. I work for a smaller, Chinese-owned tool company. Our workforce after CNY and the extended break was only running at about 40%, of which this is actually on the higher side compared to what I've heard about other, much larger tech companies. While we haven't felt much of the impact here in the US, I am sure we will soon. The way that some companies flow in goods from overseas will really have an impact on store shelves; Stores like Walmart that have large DC's and reroute the flow and quantity of goods so that the shelves don't look as bare. T…

Have you checked out some of the buying benefits of your credit card? Chances are you have. However, you may have missed some features that can prove to be incredibly useful to a Birckpicker. A growing number of cards have a price-lock feature. It will allow you to essentially get reimbursed the difference if the price comes down on something you bought up to 90 days from purchase (or your cards time limit). I wish I had known about this sooner as I would have taken advantage of it when the SC from Amazon dropped below what I paid for it. Another helpful feature is the extended return period. This allows you to get reimbursed for an item even after the initial return pe…

http://13deals.com/store/item.php?id=37742 Found on dealnews.com. Too bad it just passed May the 4th, but it's a fun little mold, if you're in to these kind of things. Free shipping, lowest price so far, deal ends May 7th. http://dealnews.com/Death-Star-Sphere-Silicone-Mold-for-6-free-shipping/1045134.html Also, @Mods, should we have pinned topic posts for different categories of stuff, like the video games/movie thread? There's little activity now, but I don't want to clutter up this subforum with lots of threads, like this one, on small stuff... Judging from what's already present, "Foods" could be one such topic.

  23. http://www.aol.com/article/2015/08/15/disney-announces-star-wars-theme-parks/21223213/ Disney announces 'Star Wars' theme parks "The Star Wars universe is ready to invade ours. Disney chairman Bob Iger announced the creation of two Star Wars theme parks. The 14-acre parks will feature humanoids, aliens and droids. He called it the company's "largest single themed land expansion ever." "Everything we create will be part of our storytelling," said Iger, who added every store in these parks would be operated by local inhabitants -; in other words, actors in character as aliens or droids. "Nothing in the land will be out of character or stray from the mythology." Iger said g…

  24. Good morning/afternoon/evening/night, depending on where on this planet you find yourself. I am curious about what other models Brickpickers build and whether you would recommend certain types or manufacturers. I am on the verge of purchasing a wooden model ship to build and hope that maybe someone else here has a little experience with these. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.
