seems this set is on the rise in price daily and is out of stock directly from places such as amazon. Its slowley starting to climb as 9446 destineys bounty did and is froms ame line but is similar in 2505 as its the other main minjago structure of similar size. 70505 to be at 150.00 by end of year? thoughts?

Couldn't see an existing thread for this little set. Probably indicative of the predicted responses... Is this set worth it right now at SaH's sale price, limit of 5, and Retiring Soon flagging? Looking at diversifying into a few smaller sets besides the Exclusives I'm grabbing up. This looks like a cheap option, with minor gains on eBay over the current sale price. Any of you taking this up, or should I fold the $50 into something else?

Available at Shop-at-Home for April 2015 after an unknown purchase goal. May have something to do with the rumored large Ninjago exclusive set. Edit: Added better quality images.

I have been waiting for this set to come down a little in price, and am thinking about springing for a few on Amazon now that they are $10 under MSRP. I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to be a strong seller after EOL for the following reasons: 1. It has all of the ninjas and all of the golden weapons. Good to purchase as a "one stop shop" for the theme. 2. Set is actually two vehicles in one - plane breaks away from the tank. 3. It has a Pythor mini-fig exclusive. The only downside I see is that it's on the expensive side for vehicles. I have noticed (empirically) they are harder to find at the retailers than before Christmas. Thoughts on inves…

I don't know if this is news or not, but I was reading this. http://deadshirt.net/2014/01/03/the-e-list-dan-and-kevin-hageman-talk-ninjago-the-lego-movie-and-how-to-write-a-screenplay-with-your-brother/ which is an interview with the screenwriters of the Lego Movie and Ninjago and they reference Season's 4 & 5 of the show.

I know most collectors/investors proclaim they only buy what they like, but there are also plenty that will buy anything they can flip for a buck. None of my kids watch the cartoon and from a non ninja expert most of these sets look the same, and not a ton different than the chima stuff out there. I personally think the movie won't have a large draw like the lego movie did, so I am pessimistic about the short and long term for these Sets Am I right? Way off?

Just got the ninjacopter at Target for $30. What are your thoughts on this set?

Ninjago Set 70504 Garmatron 50 % discount (retail -50%) deal or no deal for future investment? I would buy this one but I'm a beginner so this could be a mistake :-). What do you guys think about this one? Thanks!

I'm planning to grab a few of these to stash away for a rainy day. What's peoples opinion on the investment future of this set? Certain winner?

A couple more DK books are coming out and this time for the masters of Spinjitzu. First is an updated version of the original Brickmaster book with a skeleton army dude and everything while the second gives us the theme's very first visual dictionary which should give a more in-depth view to the sets and series than the previous Character Encyclopedia. via The Brick Fan

We all know, or have at least heard by now that ships tend to do well as investments after they are retired. Does this set enter that category? Or is it too much of a "kids' set" as it is part of the Ninjago theme. Plus of course the fact that the jury is still out on Ninjago in general as a good investment.

I know why am I buying this cheap stuff, well I have alot of the last years stuff, 2505,2509, 2521 and plenty 2507. Now 2 good sales are the Sonic raider on Amazon for $51.00 and the Temple of Light $48 each, I got 6 of each and 6 LOTR Ambush Ship $70, the Ninjajo sets should be $125 and up pretty fast next year. Ed

Hi Brickpickers, On LEGO Shop at Home it is written that 2520 is retired. It is still available here in europe for a real discount. I am new into lego investing And would like to know your opinion why the set is still available when it is already EOL. Is it a bargain or is this Set just Not worth to buy?
