Hi from Austria! I am pretty new in this and wanted to ask if there is maybe a thread collecting Skype addresses or similar. I'd like to get in touch closer with some Lego collectors / investors and discuss stuff real-time.

Hello everyone, I am a long time Lego fan that just started up again with my 5 year son that just loves them and for his age he is getting pretty good. We recently took him to see the Lego Movie and we all loved it, as soon as we got home boy did we have fun playing, distroying, rebuilding our little town. Looking forward to seeing everyones creations and getting ideas for building on my own.

Hey there! Let me tell you, finding this site hasn't made me this excited since I started stacking gold and silver years ago. It's past 3 am here but I'm so engrossed in this site that I can't go to sleep. I've recently came across a bunch of giftcards in December and I've been sitting on them because I didn't want to make a bad buying decision and then last week I walked pat a R2D2 LEGO set. After some research on this site I decided to use those giftcards and pull the trigger on 20+ R2D2's and I couldn't be happier! I mostly invest in gold and silver (NEVER the stock market!) but never thought about LEGO's. With the expection of my big purchase I'm just happy to b…

  4. Hello, my name is not really Piece Out Studios, but that's my YouTube channel, Facebook page, Twitter, SwapFig, Brickset, and Brickipedia name. I make LEGO Stop-Motion films and really like LEGOs! I have as many as 50,000 bricks in my collection, I think. I like to buy LEGO sets on sale (I mean, who doesn't?) and would like to also start investing too. I don't plan on really EVER selling the sets I currently own, but I do want to know what kind of sets I should start buying to make money from in a couple years. I know of one that I am certain will be big sellers in a couple years, Super Heroes 6862 Superman vs. Power Armor Lex! This set is great because it comes with a cl…

Hello fellow brickpickers, Greetings from down under!!! Is this the lego anonymous website??? It's been 24 hours since my last purchase and I'm not sure I'll make it through the day!!! I thought I should introduce myself and stop trolling this site, which I have been doing for over a year now and it's been very helpful btw, and crawl out of the lego bin and say hey. I have the usual story, loved lego as a kid, went through my dark ages and almost grew up, then I met a girl and she loves lego too. I'm a lucky guy, The love of a beautiful woman.... And a room packed with lego!!!

Hey everybody! I've been a huge Marvel fan all my life, and have dabbled in both the business and collection side of Marvel collectibles. With the release of the relatively new Superheroes Marvel line, I'm returning to the LEGO world, as both a collector and investor. I'm glad to see such a helpful community of like minded people, and am looking forward to speculating, trading, and blowing our hard-earned money with you all!

Hey, everybody! I'm Charis from Indonesia. It's only recently that I started thinking about brick investing (mostly to fuel my LEGO collecting hobby ), and I guess that I'm gonna test the waters now and see where it goes . I love making MOCs, mostly of fantasy and action themes, and grew up with a fond memory of the Adventurers. I guess it's alright to start off with a small question here regarding selling LEGO on ebay. Well, I'm just wondering. If you are a newbie on eBay and are selling just a small number of items, what are the chances of people buying them, and how do you improve those chances? It's cause I see top-seller badges on some sellers, and I think most…

I just joined the forum and made a post and thought I would say hello. Um, hello. I built as a kid in the 80s and then got back into it when my son turned five. He is now seven and I've been doing some buying/flipping of sets to fund his (ahem, our) Lego habit. BTW, this is a wonderful site. I've already saved some money by following the daily deals. Hopefully I can contribute any good deals that I find in my adventures.

Hello everyone! Novice investor, long time lego fan I normally sell clothing through my ebay account but I've begun to delve into to the realm of toys, particularly Lego, especially considering how much I find in my travel around London! My first find was an incomplete Police Command Base 6386 - boxed and missing the motorcycle but near complete. Which I followed up with an incomplete Ewok Attack 7956 - although it had all three mini figures. My latest find, and the set that made me decide take up interest inn brick investing, is a boxed, absolutely battered, but all sealed bags Batman UCS Batmobile 7784 I hope to find more, especially since I've passed…

Hello! I joined this site about a week ago and I've been hanging around off and on ever since and figured I should go ahead and introduce myself. I'm much more of a collector (of many things) than an investor and I'm finding myself being pulled more and more into Lego for two main reasons: 1. A lot of the themes are becoming more and more difficult for me to resist (especially super heroes) and 2. I have kids who old enough now to really appreciate lego and I really enjoy doing it with them. I've learned a ton just in the last week from this site about both the lego hobby and the investing side of things and I also really appreciate the camaraderie that I've seen her…

Hey Kats! I just started collecting...i found some sealed batman lego sets in my massive Batman collection and then got more when the superheroes sets first came out. I mainly just collect the sets with the first of whatever superhero comes out....ie. Wolverines Chopper set etc. Looking fwd to seeing everyones collections. Cheers!

Hello all, I'm biniou, a 36 years old brand-new-investor, from France. I'm not really an investor because I only buy 1 ou 2 units of the sets I like, but... since I have in mind that I have to sell some, I guess I am. I'm sure I will learn a lot of things on that website, thanks. My favorite themes are Galaxy squad, Creator and LOTR. Bye !

Hello from Southern NJ. I've been a long time fan of legos. Not that my children are enjoying them, I have a new found interest in Lego Investing. I have invested in 100's of sets in the past weeks. Lego's anonymous here I come....Let the fun begin and thank you for all the valuable knowledge provided here. Best Regards, AJ

Hey everyone! I'm 26 years old and live in North Carolina. I had a nice sized Lego collection as a kid and rediscovered it in my teens/early 20's. I started organizing everything by piece, building and separating old sets, and expanding the collection with bulk lots from Ebay and Craigslist. I used sites like peeron to track everything and help me build over 100 sets with quite a few "in progress" missing a handful of pieces that I hope to run across some day. About 4 years ago, I rediscovered my pokemon card collection. Compared to lego sets, pokemon sets were much easier to collect and I put all of my energy into it, storing all of my legos in my parents bas…

  16. You may see two different people posting with the exact same Mega Man avatar. Those are both me, arock68 and Doofy McGee. My original account was arock68, but it had been locked due to inactivity. After I was unsuccessful trying to recover it, I started a new account and have been posting on that one (Doofy McGee.) Now that I got my old account opened again, I will be posting from arock68 again. So if I leave a comment and act like I know you, it is because we have had dealings with me as Doofy McGee. I'm not that weirdo that forces my way into a conversation with strangers, but then acts like I belong there. At least, I don't think I am. Lol.

I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I'm 27-year-old living in south western Virginia. I was always a big fan as a kid and now I'm coming out of the dark period. I've got 1 investment set (Ghost Train) and just bought a bulk lot so I can get back into building. I can't wait to get more involved and learn as I go. And keep buying lego.

Howdy. I thought I should introduce myself since I never really did that. I'm Michael. I joined BP in August of 2012. I'm originally from the US of A, but I've been living in Tunisia (North Africa) for a little more than two years now. I haven't posted much in the Forum because I feel like I don't have much to add of any value. I am, therefore, a lurker. I've been known to salivate over the insane deals of which you all regularly partake. I've already used up all my family connections in the States for receiving and storing my various shipments of Lego. Here in Tunisia I have found four stores with Lego, but their selections are depressing. One of those sto…

First off, I love this site. I had the urge to get back into Legos a few months ago, and I stumbled across the website while doing some searches in Google. So here I am to make an introduction.

Hi all! I'm new around here (well, not really, I've been reading in the shadows for two weeks) and I've decided to come foward and introduce myself. I'm from Spain and I've always been a Lego fan. When I was a little girl I had several sets and this Christmas I bought the entire Castle line to display in my home (yes, I guess I'm also a collector). Researching online I came across this site and wow, I'm learning a lot. I don't have a huge storage facility with boxes as some of you do but I'm building my own inventory slowly See you around!

Hi, I am a 30+ something female who has been an avid fan of Lego and their merchandise products for over 30 odd years resulting in a nice room full of models from the Star Wars range to the very basic and good old Fabuland which actually kick started my Lego obession back in the early 80s. When I think about my collection I felt very self conscious about even admitting to loving Lego but after attending a few conventions and Lego shows seeing the amount of Adult Lego Enthusiasts my self consciousness faded away and has made way for a whole new direction of looking for fellow like minded Lego enthusiasts that have their own views and takes on what it is like to be an a…

New member here. Living in Cambridge UK Just back into the little plastic bricks, after getting a camper van as a 35th birthday gift from my parents, about 4 weeks ago (that may sound weird, but i can assure you i am a relatively normal, functioning, member of society; 1 wife, 2 small kids, house, car, job etc). Current interests building-wise are big sets - just finished Tower Bridge. Currently bricklinking a Taj Mahal. Back in the day (1980s) i was mostly a city & pirates fan, with some technic thrown in. Investment-wise, i'm in the process of picking up modular buildings MISB, so far going back as far as the Fire Brigade. Also have 3 Tower Bridges…

Hi all. Just getting back into lego as an adult. Inspiried to do this since my 5yr old daughter was given my old childhood lego and loved it. I love the modular building and I'm in the process of building a wee city for her to play with. Anyone else from Scotland on here? Cheers
