Hello everyone! Lionel from Singapore, just started collecting and playing with Lego since February this year! Lego Movie did it's job, it got more people into buying and playing with Lego sets. Cheers!

Hi, my name is Dan. I have been back into Lego since late 2010, when my oldest child was nearly 5 and started to get into Lego himself. Back then, I started to pick up clearance Legos which I mostly flipped in 2013 after holding 2-3 years. More recently, and largely because of this site (been lurking since the fall), I have changed tactics from clearance Legos to mostly exclusive and larger sets. Another factor is that I believe that it has become more competitive in the clearance section for Lego product. Here's what I mostly have stashed from the fall and winter that have gone EOL: Monster Fighters, WVC Short term picks (what I have been recently s…

That why I got into the site to have chance to get good deals on used lego bulks for Chile. I will appreciate your help to find good deals and lessons to learn how to import to Chile, Neighborhood kid will appreciate to keep in one piece theirs toys. Kind Regards to all Antonio

Hello there, after lurking for weeks, even months, I finally post in the forum section to introduce myself. I'm a lego fan since my young age and I started building a lego town back in 2009. It was the beginning of the end ^^ I'm beginning investing and I thank all of you for the great advices I already got, reading the site. Have a nice day everyone!

It's great to see a forum that is this dedicated to collecting Lego. Im impressed to see that there is a guide to investing in Lego. I am more of a minifigure collector than buying full sets. I f I do buy full sets, it's mainly to get the minifigures. I own just over 130 minifigures atm and hoping to double that within the next year. Looking forward to being part of the Lego community

Hi I have been reading a bit on this site for a while, now i finally registered. I mostly have old (1980-1990) Lego sets, from when i was young, but also a few new Technic sets. I have instructions for all my sets, almost no boxes (They were taking up too much space, my mum said) - so most boxes were cut up, and glued to a piece of paper - put in a plastic-pocket with the instructions on the backside. Noticed that most of my sets says ******/A at instructions - can i scan and upload them to this site somewhere? Michael

Hey Everyone So I recently discovered this site after trying to find a proper management tool for my sets. I've been collecting Lego since I was a kid, but recently, after earning my first paycheck, my collections seem to have doubled. This was also due to me discovering that Lego actually has some investment value, if collected properly. Now my entire living room is full of sets, old and new. So South Africa doesn't really have a huge market for Lego (we don't even have any official Lego stores here) but I just wanted to hear if any other South African managed to stumble across this site in their desperate Google search for anything Lego. Give me a shou…

Hi everyone. Despite having been on this site for over a year I hadn't actually posted reviews or visited the forums much until about a month ago but now I'd just like to say hello and get to know some of my fellow Brickpickers. I have a very small portfolio, mostly of sets bought for under 40% of MSRP, but I'd still like to hear any advice or stories from fellow investors. Best of luck on your brickpicking endeavours.

Just wanted to say hello and thanks. I have been a regular visitor to the site but never posted. I have loved Lego since childhood. I got curious about making money selling Lego and stumbled upon this site. I haven't pulled the trigger on the investing in new sets like most people do here but I am going to open a bricklink store soon. I will try out the investing but I am not sure if I am ready to do that yet. I know the longer I wait the worse off I'll be but that is quite the bullet to bite. SSD aren't cheap haha. Thanks again for all that everyone here does!

  11. Hey everyone. Discovered this site about a week ago but have been hoarding lego sets for about a year now. Doing it wrong in many ways as I am learning heh. I've never been a guy who shopped online much other than buying things on ebay which of course no sales tax. Ordering from LEGO Shop at Home and the lego store of course I get charged sales tax (and it stings as I live in a 9% tax area). Today I ordered the rancor pit from yoyo.com and used a code (thanks to the awesome daily deal thread). I thought well cool 15% off and that will kill tax and a bit more but much to my surprise I did not get taxed? Why is that exactly? Some sites charge you sales tax and …

Been lurking for the past 3 months ever since I found the site. Got rebooked after watching the movie and haven't been able to stop buying sets for my kids and myself. I find building the sets oddly therapeutic and watching the kids play relaxing. But why am I wasting time here! I should be over in the daily deals forum hunting down the next great buy!

Hello everyone.... Took my sons to see the Lego Movie almost 2 months ago.....and they loved it....and so did mommy and daddy. My wife and I had legos growing up but never actually had sets to put together. Just used our imaginations. So we went out a week later and bought my son a set of legos and the whole family had a blast building it together. So much that we made a trip to Indianapolis, Indiana to the Brickworld show at the state fairgrounds. a couple weeks later. Lets just say my wife and I are hooked once again on Legos and my sons are loving it. We now have a whole weekend trip planned to go to the Lego kidsfest in Novi. Michigan next week !! Just wanted to…

Greetings fellow Pickers! I'm new to the site. Not new to lego. New to collecting/investing. I'm nurpey on BrickLink should any of you had purchases from me. I haven't opened a store yet as I'm still sorting through the many of lots I've purchased. My lego experience began when I was 10 and got the Black Monarch castle. It was stored away for decades (ok, maybe one decade). My nephew recently had my parents dig it out of the attic last year, and the fever began. I'll go into more detail in some other forums because I have some questions and would like to get some feedback, but for now, I'm here and I hope to contribute a little here and there. …

Hello everyone, im 25 from france. I always was a lego player and fan in my childhood. Sadly, growing up i stoped caring about those beautiful bricks until recently when i discovered the minifigures serie in a shop, i was very intrested by those minifigures. I started collecting them and the addiction came back. So now my main goal is to collect every minifigures series, star wars, and super heroes. This seems to be a great place to know the market and invest in order to buy those minifigs. Cheers guys Envoy

Hi, I am a long time lego fan who has started building again with his 7 year old. It was through looking at lego for him that I noted the investment potential. This site is excellent for info. I have started to build a small brick folio as a hobby initially and to see how I go. I will be looking at longer term lego investments. I have just bought my first set, the vw Volkswagen campervan. Excited already.

Hello all, firstly I'd like to say that I've always thought LEGOs were cool. Just never got big into them. As I spend the majority of my time deeply in the football card community. However tonight I stumbled across quite a few sets that were 75% off, which came to roughly $3.00 per box. Those being the Iron Man 3 (76008), Man of Steel (76002), Star Wars (75000, and 75001), and last but not least Lord of the Rings (79005). So considering they were so cheap I purchased 34 total. Opinions?? Please, and thank you! I look forward getting into the LEGO community!

Hello everyone, Just got into Lego based on two events, my son turning 5 and the movie. Basically in the past two months my son has built majority of the current City sets. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Happy building everyone.

Hello People I just began purchasing legos thanks to a friend here. Just wanted to introduce myself and look forward to buying/building some legos. I don't know if i should thank or hate the friend who introduced me to lego's as it looks like it might be an expensive hobby.

I'm from South Australia and I've just recently started up collecting Lego for the first time since I was a kid. I've got 4 kids of my own and was tempted back to Lego while shopping for some new toys for them. Well this is going to be interesting (hiding it from the wife and kids lol) and most likely very expensive over time. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Brickpicker mobile app
