I wanted to stop by and say hello. I found this site a couple of weeks ago and rediscovered my love of Legos several months ago. I bought a few Monsters Fighter sets to build, which quickly started me down the road of buying more sets. I realized I needed a way to supplement my Lego buying and just make some extra cash, so I started to think about reselling. That led me here. To start, I've picked up a couple Research Institutes and other odds and ends. I'd like to get in to rehabbing sets for resale, but I'm not really sure how to start down that road. Anyways, that for the site and community.

Hi there BrickPicker community! Relatively new here and thought I'd do a new guy post. I've been a LEGO fan since I was a kid and stupidly tossed a lot of toys (including LEGO sets) years ago during a move due to space constraints. If I had only known what old LEGOS are worth. For that point I could just be using them to build my eventual expansive automated (using mindstorms) train layouts that I want to build. I'm both an enthusiast and also looking into the selling aspect as well. I'm looking to start small but build a decent business focusing on LEGO products and also collectibles/pop culture/hard to find items. I figure this is definitely a w…

Hey everyone, I'm from the East Coast and I've played with LEGO all my life. I've just recently starting investing in LEGO (mostly Star Wars, but I've heard and seen good things about DC, Marvel, and Hobbit sets). I do still, however, still love collecting and building LEGO so right now most of my collection is for me personally, not for investment purposes. And with all the information available here, I'm sure I'll add to both collections quite a bit! Anyway, just thought I'd say hello and give a quick introduction.

Just a quick intro. I have come back to the fold after 20 years away! I collected town lego until I was a late teen and then boxed it up. When my kids got interested in Lego I got it all out again. This got me going again. In a good/bad way. I now have the freedom to buy what and when I want unlike my younger years but that has meant some major shopping sprees when I probably shouldn't My likes are still City with a passion for Modular. My collection is mostly about a joint interest with the kids but this time round I made sure I have kept every box and instruction. Looking forward to learning more from you all. Littlepalms.

Hi everyone, Just want to say ***'day and what a great site and forum this site is! I've always liked Lego since I was knee high and have recently gotten back into the hobby in a big way. I've started buying Stars Wars sets and few big technic sets with a view to holding them for a few years and seeing what happens but damn, each time I get a new set the temptation to build is pretty full on! :-) I just want to say that I hope all the AFOL's from the USA appreciate how much better their Lego prices are to we pay over here in Australia. The price differences are depressing to say the least! Looking forwards to sharing experiences and tradin…

Hey all, purplewolf here from Philly... I started selling Lego a few years ago, never really built any until my first daughter was 3 years old, when I started to build with her together. Have been a fan of Lego since then.

Hello Brickpicker, My name is Arrow, Long time Lego enthusiast, well, It's a love hate relationship, i love the Brand. I hate the ninja like skills they have for hiding below my feet. I am currently overrun with Legos, due to helping clean out a house. Not that that is a bad thing just a greater appreciation for the lego models came when i was going through my 17th complete set and still had 7 tubs to got through. As this post will inevitably need a moderator approval, i shall say "HELLO PERSON OF THE INTERNETS WITH LOCAL AUTHORITY!" And bid this introduction to a close.

Hi everyone, I'm from the east coast, USA. Have bought/played with Lego forever but never realized that there was an entire world devoted to it. Very interested, but very, very overwhelmed with all the information out there. I don't even have any Lego in my possession right now, so it's kind of a personal challenge to see how much I can learn/collect. Looking forward to being here!

Hi all! The Lego bug bit me last month. I have set a spend limit of $500, as you can see from my brickfolio, I'm close to reaching it I'm buying small, affordable sets. Quantity before quality, low risk low reward. The BP Price Guide is awesome! I like reading the forums and envy our Stateside BP buying Lego sets at US prices and less than RRP at that. More power to BP and keep posting!

Hello from Philadelphia. I went from selling sneakers in undergrad to selling comic books for the past two years. I wanted to buy some Harry Potter sets for my desk at work the other week, so I bought some and now I'm here. I'm mostly an online buyer because I live in center city, so I don't have a car to raid all the Target and TRU around. I pieced out 21108 and 76020 this past week and now I'm buying a few more sets that I'm reading about. Current investment is 2 x 79008 and 2 x 76000.

Hi guys, I'm new on here, but I've been selling and collecting Lego sets for ten years. I started with Bogo 50% off purchases at TRUS. Ten years ago I could buy the big expensive sets two at a time and make $200-$500 in a short period of time from two sets. I've noticed in recent years that it is getting harder to make the larger profit margins. I stumbled across this site and had an "Ah Ha" moment. This community is great and judging by how many people are on here, it has contributed to more people learning how to invest and sell Legos. I love the idea of having a place to chat about Legos. I have never analyzed collecting as in depth as some of the articles and discussi…

Lovin' this sight! A hello to everybody out there! I'm new to the Lego scene (some would say a NOOB). Been years since I bought a Lego set...A LOT HAS CHANGED! About 2 months ago my nephews asked if I could buy them some Lego Star Wars sets...went to the store....came out hooked and wanting to go back in and buy me a couple sets myself! Waiting for my first purchase to arrive in the mail (Pre Vizsla Mandalorian Fighter Set). Can't wait to add more to my collection!

Hi everyone, All the way from Western Australia here, Lego seems bigger than ever these days. I've risen out of a 20 year stint in the dark years (hence the username ), my saving grace was my kid. We started on Duplo but it wasn't reaching the age to play with Lego that I was awoken out of my slumber. I'm a bit scared at what I've spent in just a few months but I could not resist the Modular's and big Star Wars sets. At this stage I'm undecided over whether to build or keep mint in box with some items.

Like the title says, holla from the wet coast! I've been a member of Brickpicker for a little over a year now. I have only really started collecting in that time frame but with the realization of how expensive this hobby can be I've decided to try to offset the cost by trying my hand at little bit of everything, investing, flipping, and bulk lots. I've been doing a lot of trolling on the forums as of late trying to catch up on all the knowledge that has been shared by the veterans. I think some of the biggest things I need to address early on other than buying things as cheap as possible are 1) talk to an accountant to keep my glutious maximus covered 2) get your fee…

Hi all, I am new here and have a questions. Is there a place for me to sell my Lego Store credit on here? My son had gotten a lot of Lego sets for Christmas/Birthday/ect over the past year from people and they were not Superhero sets (which is all he cares about!). I returned them to the Lego store and now have a huge credit ($444!) I know I prob wont use up anytime soon. I was hoping to sell it for $400 somewhere, but not sure where is a good place? Thank you! Vanessa

Hello everyone, This is the first topic I have started on brick picker even though I have had a user name for a few months now. Let me start out by saying. Hello, my name is Michael I'm 24 years old and I have always been a fan of Lego. As a child they quickly became my favorite toy to play with. In my teenage years I stopped playing with them but still remembered the great times I had when I was younger. About 5 years ago I started buying sets again just for myself to play around with in my free time . In the last couple years I have become a total addict, Well I live in a small house and even though I have a spare bedroom devoted to Lego ( The Lego room as my wife ca…
