So today I decided to venture over to to the TRU National Headquarters which is located in Wayne, NJ. My mom and I have friends who work there and I live less than 10 minutes away from it. I went in and asked to see a person who I know and I also asked about Legos. Turns out they keep a bunch of TRU exclusives and various other sets there and a lot of the employees are Lego fanatics. I walked out of there with a bunch of free polybags, and one of each new SW planet sets. I don't know if somebody has already posted it or if anybody care but most lego sets online at TRU are on sale and you can also get an extra 15% off your order with the promo code. "Save15". I'm fairly new to this site and figured I would let you know. Sorry if this is already been mentioned.

Thought some of you might be interested in the polybags. just bought four of them. i found them by accident it seems. i was taken there after i clicked on a toys r us link and placed the order but when i went back and tried searching the website for them i couldnt find them for sale anywhere. Let me know if anyone finds out what section they are listed in.

Not sure if this is a nationwide deal, but Barrel Escape is currently 25% off until May 25th in my local TRUs. May be worth picking up at that price since it's an exclusive.

I am in Virginia from now until late next week. Went to a couple of TRU's tonight. They had all of the new City and Castle sets, and I was surprised to see that they already have the new LOTR sets. The LOTR Pirate Ship set is really cool looking. So is the new Coast Guard boat. Of course the prices were outrageous. I went to the one in Fair Lakes and it's one of the ones that has even extreme prices for TRU. The one in Manassas was a little better, but still the prices were outrageous. I did grab a couple of things on the BOGO but had a few TRU $5 off coupons so the price ended up being way below retail.

I did not see another message mentioning it so I hope I am not repeating anything. Toys R Us is doing the 25% off of purchases of $100 or more and the small print at the bottom reads "excludes Marvel Super Heros and Lone Ranger Sets". SInce this promo is only good until the 14th it would lead one to believe the Lone Ranger sets will be on shelves any day, if they are not already in places that have higher turnover.

Hey guys, Ran across this coupon on another site and wanted to share. I know it sucks to buy at TRU, but 20% off an MSRP set isn't bad. I read all the fine print and it doesn't exclude Lego, however it does exclude sale items. So as long as they aren't doing a stupid "Raise MSRP" BOGO sale or something, this coupon should be good. Just received my 2 TRU orders from the last BOGO sale. Currently 1 Unimog short (but since there was so many individual packing boxes it could come next week) 1 Tumbler set instead of Batman Funhouse 1 Unimog I received was dented, torn and even shredded in one corner. 5 Batman Funhouses sets with various degrees of dents and creases 3 Battle for Geonosis sets (fairly ok) Deadset the worst packaging I have ever seen. The Unimog was laid diagonally in a box which was so dented on the top the tape was split 3 Funhouse sets were in a box large enough to fit 2 Unimogs (WTF???) What are the chances they will do anything about it?

Saw the new Lone Ranger sets at TRU today. Of course they are marked well above MSRP. Constitution Train $119.99 Silver Mine $89.99 Both $20.00 above MSRP. Colby City Showdown was $79.99 I think. ($10 above) Stagecoach was $37.99 ($8 above) Comanche Camp was $24.99 ($5 above) Cavalry Builder was $16.99 ($4 above) And all of these are excluded from the $25 off $100 sale. Needless to say, but I did not purchase any!

I have wondered this for some time now, how long does everyone think they will be in business? I know some think that TRU is a thriving entity, but fact of the matter is that they are really not. Any predictions on how long before they have to shut their doors or do some of y'all think that will never happen. I say this with 100% percent honesty, if TRU was giving anyway LEGO sets I wouldn't think twice about not going there.

Last year, TRU.ca boost a lot of their prices, but now it seem that a lot of sets are MSRP (Most of Hard to find item and Star Wars) That's a really good thing!

My store has 12 of them in stock, should I get them today with the $20 off coupon? They are marked up to $45 so I basically be paying retail for these, are they for sure an investment winner or not? I have no interest in them for my own part but folks on here seem to go nuts over this set.

so... i was on the hunt for ***.I. Joe Kre-o figs and then got swooped up by some lego sets that i hadn't seen in my local TRU's.. hawthorne was the store that had alot of what i was looking for. Hello all, I just wanted to get a general feeling on how many Brickpickers are supportive of TRU. I believe many of us don't like shopping for sets there, but some of you do. I'm on the fence about it because I've bought only once from them and it was almost a complete disaster. (The box was beat up so badly during shipping that it caused holes in the Lego box.)They refunded my money and let me keep the set. I've never bought from them again because I almost always found better deals on Amazon and I've also heard more about TRU's bad practices. (Shipping, eBay, etc.) Let me know what you guys think in the poll/comments.Thanks.
