This is a Great Halo Mega Bloks investment set and its dirt cheap at Toys R Us. Regular $179.99, on sale $129.99 plus buy one get one 40% Off. I got 4 Last night on line, comes to $110.00 a piece, I got 4 more at the Stores today. They didn't want to do it as in the store it does not show up as Buy one get one 40% Off. So you should get it online. Most big Halo sets do very well down the road. and this is the second biggest set ever made for Halo. Box is big and Heavy. I have a $10 off coupon that I want to use in tandem with a price match. I know there is another post that discusses whether they will do this for Target/Walmart (seemed split), but I wondered if TRU would match an Amazon listing. Anyone with experience on this?

Bought a couple of sets from the TRU ebay store a few weeks ago. One of them came in with damaged box. Normally in such case with a TRU.com purchase I'll just return to the local store, but I'm not sure whether local store can handle return for purchase from their ebay store. Anyone has experience? How do they do refund since I paid via paypal? Thanks!

Toys r us is running a promo for a free coastguard seaplane with the purchase of a $20 lego set. I already bought some Golden Dragons for $24.99 and got the promo. Not the greatest polybag, or even close to the VW, but for only $25 qualifying purchase I like it. Not sure if there is another topic on this (I did check).....also if a mod can add a link so the Mack's could get the credit that'd be great too.

If I purchased something at TRU and then realized I had gift cards....can I return it and then pay with the gift card?

Hi all, I have placed 2 orders for TRU under their latest deal. My credit card has been charged, yet I haven't received a confirmation email for either. Neither order show up on my account. I have sent off an email, but have heard that TRU are useless with their customer service. Is the lack of confirmation email a regular occurance, or just likely due to the high volume of sales with this deal? Thanks

These were 12.49$ for most people, in store only. Anyway, I have picked up about 15 of them and since they are sold out everywhere, they are selling like crazy on Ebay. Sold 12 now for $32 each. After fees, making about $14 on each. Not bad so far. If you have some, now may be the time to sell - doubt they are retired.

I received an e-mail coupon for 20% off one regular-priced item at TRU for Sat Feb 2 only. Anyone have a suggestion as to the best set to use this on?

To all, I am planning on buying some exclusives this saturday. Does anyone know through experience if the CC opening discount of 15% plus the saturday discount of 10% count towards Exclusives. Orthanc, SSD, Ewok village etc. If so then that is about 25% off these sets up to the credit limit.

So I have been trying to personally collect the Master Builder sets and when I saw that they were listing at 50% off, I was stoked. Drove out to the closest TRU and they were at full price, no big deal, I'd just keep checking and cross my fingers. There were like 3 to 4 of each. Apparently there is a TRU Express/Outlet at a nearby outlet mall. I haven't been up there in a while but don't recall seeing it, maybe it's new? Anyone else have one of these near them? Guessing they won't have Lego, but wondering if others have experience.

anyone know why some sets get the Free Store Pickup Available in 5-10 day while other large sets do not? I noticed this recently on the DS and Architecture Studio. I know I have bought other no lego items in the past that gave this option, but this is the first I have seen on lego.

My wife and I got new "R"Us credit cards in the mail yesterday and while trying to activate them we were told in a recording that the account had been closed. Today I spoke with a 3rd-level employee (the last link in the "I want to speak to your supervisor" chain) at Synchrony Bank, the issuer of "R"Us Credit Cards. I was told that with TRU's bankruptcy and liquidation, Synchrony's client services group is closing and ALL "R"Us credit card either have been or shortly will be closed. I know the 10% Thursday and Saturday promotion is done today, but i'm curious if either works on exclusives or not? For example, could i open the account get 15% AND 10% off an exclusive, or just the 15% or neither? Thanks all.

Does Toys R Us jack up the prices of Lego sets before they run this Buy one Get one Half off? It sounds too good to be true.

When it closes it stores in your country 5 months after they open and you don't even notice for a month that they're gone, ooops. Memo to ToysRus, opening a store a few hundred metres from your main rival and charging 20% more than them, does not a business plan make.

My local TRU has phangpyre mechs for 18 bucks each.......sweet deal considering the market value on this set is 40 bucks! Any normal AIOL would clear the shelves with this deal. How many did I scoop up you ask???? 0!!!!! I refuse to give TRU another dime of my money due to their poor bussiness/shipping practices!! *AIOL = adult investor of LEGO.......
