I purchased 3723 LEGO Mini Figure over the weekend for $168 shipped. Used with Manual. I am totally stoked about this because I have wanted this set forever. I see it is slightly lower than avg value. Trust the seller and the photos looked good. But the better deal is I scored a 10030 for $360 Sealed from a lady who had 3. I thought it might be a scam. I emailed her and she wrote back saying her father passed away and he bought 3 of these and 3 10188's for the boys in the family. But she decided to sell them because the boys said they didn't want them. There are no pictures so I really don't know what to expect. Just hope I don't get scammed. She had 6 seperate listing…

Hi all, first time poster and new to this forum so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place... I've recently pulled down a bunch of my LEGO sets from childhood as I've got a young child myself now, and thinking about selling some of the bigger sets which I understand are worth quite a bit of money now. I've got a Skulls Eye Schooner (complete) and an Imperial Trading Post (6277-1), which is MOSTLY complete with the exception of one minifigure - the Imperial Guard Admiral (Admiral Woodhouse). I understand this is a rare part, so any advice on how this would effect resale value? One qualifying factor is that I DO have a Governor Broadside minifigure from th…

I was looking at the LOTR series because I was unsure as to how many sets were released and I noticed that some sets over here are way more expensive than in the US. For example 9476, in the US store it's priced at $39.99 while in Spain's store it's priced at

Any suggestions appreciated.... purchased 20+ sets form them in July....arrived 2 Months later TRASHED. Sent them photos before I even opened the box to show how damaged it was, then photos of the individually trashed sets...like ripped boxes smashed in areas. They wouldnt even work with me until I went to post office three times and finally got someone to fill out a damaged item form as they wouldnt take my word or the photo history. Finally after getting the form (was told only someone witnessing the actual damage could fill it out but they did it anyway.) Sent Steinchenwelt the form and was told I now had to sit and wait until the got an insurance claim from DHL a…

Good morning! My son is wanting to get rid of his lego collection! We have over 110 pounds of lego pieces from the last 15 years. He was in to Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets for a while as well as Technics, bionicles, and lego racers. We have a bunch of the little men (minifigs) I don't know where to begin. I want to get a fair price but not even sure what that is these days. Can someone give me advice of where to start etc.....? Thanks in advance! Karen

I picked up a couple 40220 - Mini London Bus over the weekend that I was hoping to flip on Bricklink, but apparently the set is still pending approval. I'm relatively new to this, so I've never watched for a brand new set on Bricklink before. How long does it usually take for them to approve the set so I can list my items?

Hi guys, I want your opinion. There is a guy on Bricklink selling some old sets I want complete with boxes for a resonable price. Catch is he has zero feedback. Looking around at his store nothing else really throws any red flags up nevertheless the feedback(or lack of it ) concerns me. Does paypal offer protection if it is not an ebay transaction? keen to hear what others think..........

I am curious as to where you long-timers think the best place will be the day after Christmas for sales. I live in a small market area with just one Target, two Walmarts, and a crappy low end Toys R Us (and a Kmart that ALWAYS seems to have stuff on clearance or BOGO offers). My Walmarts must have a pretty good sell through rate because I never see anything on clearance in them. Anybody have thoughts or suggestions based on previous experience? Thanks!

Hi I have 2 City Super Packs 66363 and 66345. There is no price info of those items. So should I sell the Super Pack with all sets in it or should open it up and sell all sets in it separately. Thank you for all answers P.S. I would like to thank everybody who has helped to make this site. It is a very cool and useful site. Thanks Sorry for any language mistakes, I do not speak very good english

I have started watching ebay listings a little closer lately and I have noticed that there are some listings that are truly awful. I saw an incomplete Imperial Shuttle, only a month ago, go for just over $100. The picture was poor and the description was near non-existent. Just wondering what everyone thinks of this, I will try to find the link of the Imperial Shuttle.

Does Amazon always just charge a flat rate for everything? The shipping is always a LOT more than what they automatically charge the customer ($6.95 I think). How does everyone do it, just charge more for the product?

So I went on bricklink and wanted to buy some more jet packs for my clones, found a guy that had ten for $.99 a piece so I ordered them. Well, they came yesterday and I was really excited about this, (I LOVE jet packs) but when I opened them up everything seemed normal until I compared it with another jet pack I had got in a set and the one I order was just a tad bit different, I looked on the back for the piece ID number and "The Lego group" thingy but neither of them were there. I emailed the guy and he wrote back saying that he had bought these off Bricklink a long time ago and that he didn't know about them being customs, but if I sent them back he would give me a ful…

With the Monster Fighter series being waved out at walmart I wonder when the next price drop on the clearances will be? Everything is around 30% off right now. Will they move them down within the next week, and to what amount? What are your expectations and past experiences?

One place where this forum seems to be lacking is there are very few posts about current Lego deals and sales. I usually have to visit other forums to find this information. Maybe we can change that by keeping this topic going. Here are some recent finds. Ninjago 9450 Epic Dragon Battle for $110.58 (8% off) at Amazon right now. http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ninjago-9450-Dragon-Battle/dp/B007Q0ON7S?SubscriptionId=AKIAJ7T5BOVUVRD2EFYQ&tag=camels-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B007Q0ON7S

So I am currently working on a blog article where I want to examine if selling sets together in pairs is really worth the effort and if you can really make more money this way. I have several pros and cons, but I want to get data from Ebay to give a good look at what happens in the selling world. What I need is some good examples of sets that are retired and sell well together. I thought of a few so far, but I want to get enough possibles so I can get enough data to make it applicable. I thought of these so far: POTC Queen Annes and Black Pearl HP Hogwarts Castle and Battle for Hogwarts What are some others?

I'll cut to it quickly - I have a Finch Dallow and a NISB Darth Revan that I'm looking to turn into more LEGO. I do all of my selling locally, so I haven't jumped into the online game. My goal is to try to use these two figures towards larger Lord of the Rings or Star Wars sets that are on my wanted list. I could sell these on eBay or something and then turn around and buy LEGO, but I'd rather just do a trade. Is there any market for that, or any good community for it? Is there any chance anybody here is interested? If not, any tips to make sure I don't get screwed when selling online as these are single rare items? Thanks for any help!

Why would you insert a listing picture with the price sticker left on the set? EBay Link Is this smart? Dumb? Stupid? Too lazy? Makes no sense to me.

Well, as clearance looks to be pretty disappointing and possibly non-existent for most of us, I want to see what people think about this retail season. What retailer did you buy from - or what retailer did the best pulling you in and why? Doesn't have to be the best sale - mostly encompassing the whole holiday season is what I am interested in. Highlights: Amazon - Cyber Monday basically a clearance sale. Black friday lightning deals. Walmart - I am counting the 10.99 fiasco. 30% off sets on Black Friday. ToysRUs - Random crazy good sales in between crap - and sort of finishing with crap. Gift cards were huge. Tons of huge discounts on Technic sets.…
