I think one of the bigger cultural differences between America and Canada in regards to the hobby we all share is the means by which alot of reselling is accomplished. It seems to me that while Ebay has a dominant presence in the US, along with Craiq's List, up north Canadians seem quite enamored with Kijiji. More local than Ebay, Kijiji has some positives you don't get with Ebay, local pick up/drop off and no auction. I think Kijiji is pretty slick and the past months I've seen everything from Green Grocer to this 10179 Millenium Falcon listed locally. http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-toys-games-Millennium-falcon-W0QQAdIdZ460942456 Just wondering if any B…

First time posting, but I have been lurking for a while now. I recently re fell in love with legos after building the Saturn V rocket. I was so amazed at the build and how every thing went together so perfectly. I immediately wanted to display it in my Man cave. After I did I started thinking about my other cool things I wanted to display. My collection of 100 amiibos that were just sitting in a bag came to mind. The rocket takes up a lot of room and I was wondering how I could display the rocket and all my Amiibos on the same shelf. I decided to build a 3-foot bridge that would go over my Saturn V. So far I have built a 2 level bridge and I have one more level to…

I recently decided to try to sell off my Legos on bricklink and have found that the user interface is extremely hard to use. I loaded a few items just to try it out and finally received an email about someone trying to purchase my items but they are asking for a bypass number to complete their order. Any idea what they are wanting? He is from South Korea and I have no experience with international shipping. Any advice s greatly appreciated! I went nuts on recent sales and need to unload this inventory! Thanks!

I've bought a 8959 Claw digger off of bricklink for $19 in total including shipping. The set, though does not come with box, instructions, or stickers, but the bags are still sealed. Is it worth buying the rest separately and then sell it, or am I better off keeping this set because of this deal?

My wife and I are new to collecting. We had our first real lego adventure today. This morning my wife and I went and got the sets we wanted to build next. My wife got Old Fishing Shop. I got tower bridge. We decided to stop at a thrift shop. We found 2 gallon baggies of legos for $3.99 each. I got them home and so far as I can tell. there are four sets. Mars Mission 9694, Creator 3in1 Jet 4953, Lego Racers 8153, And an unidentified as of yet Mars mission large set. We also found a lego board game there. lol We then stopped at another thrift store and bought 3 totes full of legos. These all appear to be from the 80s with a ton of minifigures. My wife had been dyi…

I was just wondering at what point do you think a set is discounted enough to buy? I recently bought the "Escape from Mirkwood Spiders" at a 20% discount and it dropped another 10% the following week. I wanted the "Attack of the Wargs" but didn't buy it at a 20% discount because I was waiting for a 30% drop. It never came and is now back to the regular price. :(

So I have a ton of mini figs sorted by theme and I was wondering if someone could share some insight as to what they have found is the best way to sell minifigs? I have been selling smaller organized by theme lots on E-Bay but i'm not sure that is the most productive way to sell them. I thought about a BrickLink store but I was wondering how much luck you guys have had selling them individually through B-Link. Any insight would be much appreciated as I have a ton of figs and trying to maximize both my time and return. Also if someon is looking for specific figs feel free to reach out to me as I may have what you are looking for and I'm happy to help out.

So I have only been selling for a few months on eBay, mostly smaller things to learn, build feedback and polish my processes. So far I have done pretty good but one thing is becoming clear. Between shipping labels and packing slips one prints alot of paper. Currently I have a kodak inkjet printer and it works fine and cartridges are reasonable but have a smaller capacity. I am getting about 100 pages per cartridge at about 12 bucks a cartridge. So I find myself eying a laser jet printer as they can do give or take 5000 pages on a 50 dollar toner cartridge. The con is the much higher entry cost of the printer vs one I already have. But in the long run they are…

So, living in North Jersey, I never have much success at finding any steep discounts on Lego sets. My best bets are usually Targets and Kmarts. However, in the town next to me there is a little toy shop called Tons of Toys. I had not gone in it until yesterday mainly due to their hours. Well, when I went in, I was utterly blown away. This store has the BEST selection of Legos I have ever seen outside of the Lego Store and TRU. Multiple Unimogs, Weathertops, etc. If it's not an exclusive they have it! Now, here's the best part. The sets are all marked at retail but the store ALWAYS puts coupons in the weekly newspapers. These coupons are ALWAYS at least 15% off any pur…

Two quick questions that I'm hoping someone could give their opinion on. I've purchased a set off of Amazon Warehouse that I intend to resell (usually I use warehouse for my own builds). For once, this set shows no sign of having popped seals (just a very very damaged box). The box has a large sticker on it saying that it was "Amazon Warehouse Inspected". Anyone know if that means I can assume it was opened up? Second question, since I'll probably open this box up to verify the bags inside are all there, how would you mark this if listing it? I'd lean towards NEW because the Lego pieces are sealed up and never assembled. However, definitions for NEW oft…

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I did my due diligence and couldn't find an answer otherwise. Is there a forum on this site where folks can offer sets for trade? I've actually swapped a couple sets through conversations on the site and have found it a great way to access items that I can't find here in my somewhat limited market. Any help would be appreciated.

People seem to complain about Lego prices all the time. This is especially true in some countries where the prices can get pretty outrageous like Australia. In other countries Lego has very limited availability. I know a lot of people think the U.S. has it best when it comes to Lego due to the cheaper prices on sets and wide availability, but what benefits do other countries have? Are they actually better? For instance in the U.K. they seem to have relatively equal pricing to the U.S. (for the most part, on non-licensed themes..), but then they have the free Lego polybag give away with the news paper. Half a pound for a Lego set that should cost $4? Yes please! Mean…

I stopped at their store the other day looking to pick up some of the sets mentioned in the title above. I got there and they were sold out. (They had some Lego games items though.) I asked the cashier and he said they sold them all to a guy the day before. He said they were not expecting anymore sets, but he suggested I look on their website to see if they were selling them there. I later checked and they have both in stock. The 4865 Forbidden Forest is $13.99 and the 7914 Mandalorian Battle Pack is $16.99. Over retail, but if you missed the boat on them they might be worth picking up. You can only add up to 2 of the Forbidden Forests and 1 of the Mandalorian Battle Pack…

Hello, I am new to investing in Lego and I had maybe a little dumb question about mini figures in blind bags. It makes total sense to open each little bag to sell the mini figure inside but are there cases where buyers would actually prefer to buy the sealed bag? If that would be the case, I figure this would be only a minority of potential buyers? Thanks in advance for your recommendations

Hi I just received the new lego 42042 technic crawler from Amazon UK today (not market place), and the box came with no packaging. Ie it was just a lego box with the address label and various other bar codes stuck to the lego box. Obviously the box is damaged, with scrapes and damaged corners - bit of a mess really. Has anyone else had a problem with Amazon not using any delivery packaging for Lego, clearly this is a no-go - at least it is just for myself, not a gift or for investment. I have complained of course, and am waiting for an answer.
