I'm new to selling on eBay, how much of a percentage do they take off of your transaction?

I noticed that some local Meijer stores have marked the Fire Plane down to $29.99 which is 50% off. Is this a good buy? I'm just not too sure about this set. Any thoughts?

  4. Would be nice if it did. And have an app to go with it just like EBay. Wish someone would come up with a LEGO-Bay. A site specific for LEGO sellers where we can purchase or set for auction with 5% or less fee instead of EBay 10%.

I've been lucky over the last few weeks, and sales have really picked up. Of course, I hadn't really started listing things until the last couple of months either. Now that I'm listing, I realized - my books aren't as in good order as they need to be. I kept okay books - I knew when I had bought stuff, and how much I bought it for. But I realized it was time for a complete overhaul. I also needed to go through and do a complete inventory (again) to make sure I had everything in the right place, and tracked. And to make my life easier when it comes time to filling orders. So, while I've been following all the excitement over the last few weeks, I've also b…

Hi Everyone Where can I find those LEGO 19" display figures that we see at LEGO stores? And how much does it cost before people put it on Ebay?

How do most of you that sell >20% of your items internationally handle shipping for items on ebay, where the combined purchase price can reach $150+ ? I've had a few orders now (Singapore, Greece and Russia) where the items seem to disappear for a really long time (20-35 days) and the buyers are usually most interested in blaming me, not the cheap shipping rate/company that they paid. I know that customs can take a while, but the latest order has been MIA in destination country for 29 days now. 99% of my international shipments currently go USPS First Class International since there is nothing else that competes for price. Is it better to reduce the quantity …

  9. Overall I think it has been a pretty successful holiday season for most of us, I have done a lot of flipping and investing. Now that its close enough to Christmas where nobody can "steal" your flipping set ideas for this season I thought it would be fun to list what worked and what didn't. Some that Worked: Lego City Cargo Terminal: With BOGO at target and PM their website I paid about $71.48 with tax Sold for $130ish plus shipping. New Hobbit Sets. Used B&****** Coupons for these during BOGO. These were probably the most profitable. Architecture Sets, Particularly White House. -- I had never bought one of these before a month ago. I got the White House from…

So on Oct 31st I went crazy and ran to local Lego store to make the most of the 2x VIP points before it expired. I picked up a TB and SSD thinking their closest to EOL. Well after that I received in my email survey to let them know how they were doing and I put exceptional for everything because I didn't have any problems. I just recieved this email today. Thank you for visiting our Woodfield Mall LEGO

  12. So this morning I got a very official looking email from paypal using my first and last name. Said my account was limited due to suspicious activity and until I logged in and confirmed my account that it would be frozen. I of course didn't click the link and went directly to Paypal's site. Everything was normal. Now, I consider myself very internet savvy and also take internet security further than most. And this one had me going due to it being very well done and targeted specifically at me. I fear that due to the recent ebay hack this will become pretty common. so here is a heads up to be vigilant and if you receive any paypal phishing emails you can forwar…

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I did my due diligence and couldn't find an answer otherwise. Is there a forum on this site where folks can offer sets for trade? I've actually swapped a couple sets through conversations on the site and have found it a great way to access items that I can't find here in my somewhat limited market. Any help would be appreciated.

I need to use some Kmart rewards points in the next couple of days and I decided to pick up the Chima gorilla mech and some fillers to get free shipping. Kmart doesn't have too many options. I have narrowed down my three filler options too: 1. Republic Trooper vs sith battlepack 11.36 and Castle Forest Ambush 9.29 total 20.65 2. Shredders Dragon Bike 24.96 3. Sith battlepack and Droidekas battlepack 11.72 for total of 23.08 Which should I go with?

  15. It may be obvious for several of you (so please don't be harsh and just ignore this topic if you think it's stupid) but I had some really hard time trying to make some package to fit right for the sets I just sold. I had a set and box, weight with package 3.1kg and I wanted to reduce weight under 3.0 kg (2.950kg) so the shipping price will be lower. It's hard to bend the cardboard so here is a small tip to help you. I use a video game/DVD steelbox So I can bend the cardboard easily I do it several times, then at this end I use some creased paper I hope it will help some of you.

Coming up shortly will be my first Black Friday since becoming an investor/collector. Can anyone who has been in the game longer than I have tell me typically what to expect on this crazy stupid day when it comes to LEGOs........what types of deals, where the best deals usually are ect. Is it even worth going out into the public and dealing with all the lines/crowds?

  17. I just received my largest Brickowl quote request and wanted to get advice before submitted the quote. The order is from a new user in China, requesting a 13440 parts (not sets) totaling over $1800USD. I'm a bit hesitant since this is a new user (18 hour old account) and for an order that's going to take me 3-4 hours to pack and put me out a lot of $$ if things go south. I believe I can get insurance to cover that amount, but I can't give the buyer any idea on import fees, which I know are high in China. Any suggestions based on past experiences from the group? It's a 24lb box that's $124 USD to ship before insurance...

  18. Trying to stay calm... How do you guys handle normal shelf wear on products you sell? Just annoying dealing with buyers sometimes... Do you just not sell anything unless its Mint? Just sent a guy a JP with normal shelf wear, which was in my description and I know the truth is that he is having buyer's remorse. I would have rated his box at an 7.5 if Mint is a 9 and 10 is impossible. Just frustrated a bit. Looking for advice and guidance moving forward so I don't have hiccups during Christmas.

When investing in Lego sets is there any resale value difference between European and U.S. packaging? I noticed on the Euro Lego sets that there is less text printing/details on the packaging such as pieces count, disclaimers, etc. The Euro packaging seems cleaner and less clutter than the U.S. sets. I live in the U.S. and I am investing in the UCS series sets and was looking for any feedback on whether there would be any value difference many years from now depending on which packaging you own. Kind Regards, Casey

  20. Just wondering if there's anyone around Fort Wayne,(Indiana)who I can purchase some shipping boxes off of. I'm not the power seller that would need 50 of one type, but 3-4 of a few types would really help me out.

I have a $25 BN gift card and was wondering what set to get. Half of the sets are over priced and there's not a huge selection. I kind of am leaning towards the 75052 but was wondering what you guys are thinking. And I just found out the 30% Kids Club coupon you receive when you first register does not apply to Legos

Check out the links for U.S. carrier's shipping cutoff times for this year. I think I am gonna close my store down on 12/13 since I will be out of town anyway for Xmas and I should be able to ship any orders that weekend to reach customers in time for Xmas. Hope this helps. I would think these would be updated at some point by the carriers to cover their butts. https://www.usps.com/holiday/holiday-shipping-dates.htm http://www.fedex.com/us/holiday/last-days-to-ship.html http://compass.ups.com/ups-holiday-calendar/

Hey, is there a way to print your bricklink want list without images? I just want to print a checklist without the images. I don't see the option or I may be just blind.
