  3. So I bought some of those 2x2 buildable bricks at the last LEGO Shop at Home sale. You know, these ones: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Buildable-Brick-Box-2x2-40118 I bought them with the intention of getting my QFFL on and listed them locally for $20. They sat, and sat and sat. No interesting bites. A few offers of $10...which would kind of defeat the purpose of the QFFL. Major bummer right? I dropped the price to $15. They sat, and sat. I then had an epiphany. I opened the pristinely sealed boxes, opened the polybags and dumped the contents in a gallon ziploc bag. I took the minfigure and accessories out and a few black plates. I then relist this gallon bag of assor…

New member here. When is a box considered Mint ? What expectations are there from both the buyer and seller ( something happens during shipping ) regarding this definition ?

Was hoping to get some advice from some veteran sellers. I am relatively new to collecting and probably won't begin selling much until next year. I have been logging my purchases into brickpicker and exporting to an excel spreadsheet for now. I include the sales tax in my cost of goods when I log my purchases. Is this the best way to keep track for now? I am not ready to fork over the money for quickbooks or any software like that yet. Also, I have been selling DVDs and other misc. items from around the house to get my ebay feedback up until I am ready to start selling lego. I have not sold any of these items for a profit. As long as I sell a few lego sets this ye…

Has anyone ever had an issue where fed ex tracking says your shipment was delivered but you never received it? I ordered 5 VW Campers from Walmart. They were delivered in 2 boxes, one with 3 campers and 1 with 2. There are two separate tracking numbers. Both say the boxes were delivered. Problem is I never got the box with the 2 campers. Going to be calling Fed Ex. Just wondering if anybody has had this issue before and, if so, what the outcome was.

I'm not sure if this was talked about over here, but the MMV is gone from LEGO Shop at Home across Europe and is Sold Out + Retiring Soon on LEGO Shop at Home US. Also it's not available directly from Amazon, only from 3rd party sellers. So if you don't have one and want to put this as a long, LONG, LONG investment, grab one soon. Also, most of the Holiday sets (bakery, post office, cottage) are shown as sold out on US LEGO Shop at Home. Bakery and post office are not on Europe's LEGO Shop at Home, cottage is available.

Quick question for someone new to the Monthly build, hoping someone can shed some light. Obviously there is registration mid month for the monthly build. Couple questions; 1) What does the event look like? Meaning do you get your set and have to open it there and build? Or can you leave with it sealed etc.? 2) How do people on eBay who sell these have soooo many of them available? Do they have an inside source? Do they sign up for multiple stores? And is there a max you can get per event? Just curious, don't really want to get into that game... just confused how it works thanks

I just did a comparison on 75005 at EU and US LEGO Shop at Home, and the MSRP in the EU is 17 units higher. I mean units because Lego does not do a currency conversion rather than a 1:1 relation between USD and EUR. This kills me. The Rancor Pit set is one I've looking for ever since it was released, not just as an investment but as a set that I'd like to tear open and build. But man, MSRP of

I know that I have had my fair share of odd buying moments. The one that stands out the most is going into a Barnes & Noble a few months ago to buy a book and coming across a mass amount of Harry Potter sets. They were already sold out everywhere and were full price, but I bought every one of them. I know how a lot of people hate it when people do this, but they were at full price, and I knew my window of opportunity for these sets was closing fast. I took 6 of both Hagrid's Hut, and Hogwarts (The small one), along with an uncountable amount of Knight Buses and Quidditch Match's, and around 6 or 7 Forbidden Forests. Now this may not have looked odd in a store lik…

  18. As luck would have it I'll be in Europe during the May 4th event for Lego and have been thinking about stocking up on exclusives(assuming Lego even discounts any exclusives) that I can't get any discounts usually as a US resident. Provided that I can stock up what's the most cost effective way to ship these back home or is it unlikely that I'll be able to and it will cost me more money to ship than I'll be saving?

Hi there, good people! I have a Mr. Rebrick minifigure (I won it in 2017, but it has the classic face, no sunglasses, dunno if it was a mistake or what). I know it have been sold on eBay for $350 and there are currently 2 being sold on Bricklink, one for $460 and the other for $500. My question is: as more Rebrick contests get held, this minifigure is gonna become less and less rare, right? Should I sell it now or should I keep it and pray for a new version to get released soon, making the one I got more rare? Thanks in advance for your attention!

My previous best LEGO deal was the free Minifig that got stuck in the cart down at the bottom and my wife and I didn't know it until we got out to the car. Sure we could have (should have) gone back in to pay for it but I guess a little of my guilt was taken away by the fact that it truly was an accident and that we had just spent $750+ at the register on LEGO sets. Actually now I am feeling really guilty and I might have to go back to the store (months later) and pay for it Anyway todays LEGO deal tops that by far. I purchased set 6241 and 6712 from someone on eBay a couple weeks back as a package deal for $45 (the current value of these sets is about $60). Days late…

How do you enter sealed minfigures cases of 60 into My Brickfolio? The only way I see is to enter by individual sealed bags and choosing the quantity? I just want it to be as accurate as possible when it comes to tracking the value of my investments, but entering them individually would have some of these sealed cases way over valued. Thanks in advance.

  22. (Not sure if this is the right place for this. Apologies if it's not.) The Investor Phase: If you have savings, a decent job and a credit card that you don't need to pay off for a year, it's VERY VERY EASY to do this part. You just check various places every day for deals and buy buy buy!!! The lack of space in my house caused by stored Lego and my large credit card bill (0% interest until this October) are testament to this! Like most BrickPickers I'm aware of, my approach was generally to buy on 30% discount or more and get at least one of each set for my personal collection and then multiples of sets I thought would do well at EOL. Despite not…

  23. I´m selling in European region since 2014. 2015 and early 2016 were my "golden years" and i made some bucks selling sets and parts as well. I keep track of all my sales (and purchases) in detail with adjustable statistics. And it appears to me that something has happend in July 2016. My sellings reduced to an all-time-minimum (maybe to 1/4 or less) of which i was selling the year before almost instantly! First i thought this is the regular summer low but it never recovered. My sellings at Christmas season 2016 were terrible and also January, which was always my best month, was very low in sets and parts i sold. My number of sets i listed for sale didn´…

So a week ago my wife and i decided we wanted a project to do for the upcoming weekend and we randomly stumbled upon a lego set. We were on lego.com and found the largest set was the tower bridge. So i hopped on amazon and bought it because im a prime member. It arrived and then saturday came along and we got to work. We were done around midnight, we basically built non stop until we were done and we had a great time. Now we used to do large jigsaw puzzles together 3000+ pieces but we had more fun building the bridge. Its now Sunday and i decide to look and see if there are other lego sets similar in size or even larger for us to do and thats when i came across th…

I need some advice on how to sell my entire collection of Lego. The majority were purchased in the last 5 years (or so), though I have probably 5-10 lbs of pieces from my childhood (pretty worn from constant play and then a very long storage and multiple moves). I stumbled on Brickpicker when I was trying to figure out the value of my used sets. I was encouraged by the prices I was seeing, but had a minor disaster (or not so minor). A friend brought his kids over and they took apart every. single. set. my daughter and I had put together. To the point that some minifigs had arms/legs removed. I was amazed. I've NEVER seen that level of "destruction" in such a short a…
