General Buying & Selling

Overall discussion on the buying and selling of LEGO

  1. Started by nolanfan34,

I haven't really used FedEx much before. I notice it is more available now on my sold items - how is the shipping speed vs. Parcel Select? Wondering how reliable FedEx is, with USPS I usually see items delivered within 3-4 days regardless of distance in the lower 48 for the most part.

I noticed that some local Meijer stores have marked the Fire Plane down to $29.99 which is 50% off. Is this a good buy? I'm just not too sure about this set. Any thoughts?

found these old lego in the attic after we cleared my grandparents house. have found out it is from 1958 has 109 pcs .Thats all ! Hoping some lego clever person can give me a hint as to what it is worth and if the loose bricks & windows are also sellable. am not thinking of keeping them as they do not fit well onto modern lego because they are tubeless. thankyou flamelilych

Not sure where to post this, but I am more of a collector (aka lego hoarder) and while I should probably resell what I have as it's overtaking our house, I've never purchased in insane quantities, sold anything, or otherwise. With the 2x VIP points, I made two orders, one for a Sea Cow and a few friends sets, and another for a Cinema Palace, both shipped to a relative's home as I've done countless times in the past. I don't buy 100 vampire hearses, for instance. To note, I have made about 25~ orders in 2013 to now via lego's site. These two orders were placed and then cancelled and having spent about a half hour on the phone with them, my account was f…

  11. Went to a garage sale and they were selling new lego sets for really cheap. I got a rebel U-wing set never been opened and also vaders tie fighter vs a wing starfighter. I had an idea to find more garage sales like this and sell the findings I get online. The lowest listings I can find online is 53.00 +10.00 shipping(ebay) for the first and 56.79 +free shipping (walmart) for the second. Should I sell these on bricklink, ebay, or another form of storefront or if anyone here is interested let me know where you would like me list them, and if someone wants to negotiate a price I was thinking in the ballpark of 40.00 with 10 shipping. I don't really know how much l…

My mom passed away on Monday and my dad showed me these in her closet. He was going to give them to the grand kids to open up but I suggested we price check them first. It looks like they are fairly valuable and I think we could sell them and buy some new sets to give the kids (I know the 8 year old would love the new mindstorm set that is coming out). Here is what I found: 7715 Push-Along Passenger Steam Train 1985 7817 Crane Wagon 1985 6972 Polaris I Space Lab 1987 6921 Monorail Accessory Track 1988 Should I bother putting these on Craigslist first or should I go straight to creating an ebay account so I get maximum exposure (and hopefully bids)?

Was just trying to order another bundle of the courtesy Canada Post pre-printed "Fragile" stickers - apparently they are out of stock but were happy to return a "May We Suggest: COD Stickers" (wtf?) ... anyway, was wondering what the general perception of shippers/receivers here was on using Fragile markings on their boxes. I've heard some folks are of the opinion it's tantamount to a "kick-me" sign, while to others it just seems a more professional presentation for the items being sent... does it even matter?

I bought a police station for 60$CAN (reg. 130$) at walmart in clearance section today. And it was the first time I see those "clearance section". And I have the feeling I was too late since the lego section was almost empty. Any know the frequency of Lego clearance at walmart? It probably vary per store. It's each month? If so, it's start the last day of the month or the first?

If you have a Fry's near you, it's worth checking out their Lego isle. I stopped in tonight and swooped up 3 Vampire Hearses for 24.99, and 3 Mad scientist sets for 39.99. No GT's or VC's though... Nothing mind blowing, but cheaper than Amazon right right now if you don't want to risk waiting for them to go on clearance somewhere or don't get clearance sales. I'm hoping the hearse will be one of the better performing small sets from MF after EOL. It's a cool little set. As a side note, they also had one city set 4441 so I picked it up too. Retail price of course, but all the forest city stuff seems to be doing quite well. Wish I picked up more robber's hideouts…

  22. I'm a collector in South Florida, you're probably a flipper, so if I'm going to sell it makes sense to sell to you now before the holidays. 112 unique sealed sets. I'll send the excel sheet. Brick has it at $5800 (I paid $6300 in non-retail prices), but at least 20 sets do not have prices. Your offer needs to have a 4 in front of it. Pickup and pay in-person only. 24. Pretty much not a one of my packages in the last 3 days (about 100) have or will make it there in the normal transit time. USPS is doing everything they can to destroy some order in the shipping system. All of my priority 2 day are making it in 3 and all 3 in 4. Also first class has been like 6 days. I am only telling people it will be there if they pay for priority by today. Or overnight by tomorrow.

So Galarco has been mentioned on here before, their Amazon inventory is insane, does anyone know anything about them? Do they have a real store? Their are basically on a Quidsi level in terms of many of their product stock levels. I remember they had a crazy amount of SW advent calendars. They have 320 Millennium falcons on FBA among other things. Seeing as the FBA oversize limit is 500 items, I imagine they have some sort of relationship with Amazon. 320 millennium falcons isn't easy for an individual to come across, Just wondering if they are affiliated with a bigger company.
